Shantala—Thanks girlie! How did your scan go?

jen—That’s not the way I planned to tell DH at all. lol I had an elaborate plan. I thought I was going to get the news in the afternoon before I left to go home from work. I was going to stop by the store and purchase a baby bib or tee-shirt or something that says..”I love my daddy.” or “daddy’s little angel” and then give it to him when I got home. lol Oh well, just goes to show that everything doesn’t go as planned. But feel free to use that when it’s time for you to tell DH. Love the list! That’s a great idea!

Carolyn—Awesome news about the fert rate! Remember all it takes is one! So it sounds like you want to go to blastocysts. Pray that you get your wish and your little ones hand in there!

Angie—Keep your head up. It will get better! Your little ones will be nice and mature before you know it.

pep—Hi there! Thanks hun! What are the three shots that you are taking?

REACH—Thanks for the congrats! Not to long now before you will be shooting up, huh?

Wisconsingal—Any news? Praying that your little one is nestling in for the next 9 months.

mominwaiting—Thanks a bunch. It’s weird but the cramps aren’t here any more. Or at least not as much. I hope that’s a good sign. However, I feel nauseous and want to constantly eat. I thought it was too soon for this. Okay, am I making up these symptoms?

Carolyn—Well, like I said nothing goes as planned. lol Went to dinner first, as I was starving and cranky. Ordered what I have ordered many times and they messed up the darn order. But then took it back and gave me something else. Wasn’t what I had my heart set on but it was still good. Went to the movies and the movie was ok. Great special effects (we saw Ghost Rider). I love Nicholas Cage, but the movie was just ok. Not all that great. DH and I almost feel asleep during the movie. We were so full. Too much pasta. lol

carolyn - congrats on your 6!!! i know you're slightly disappointed but for anyone to think that a few days ago we all panicked you might not get any, 6 is fantastic!!!!!!! difficult decision on your frozen ones though and whether to do a 3 day or 5 day...hhhmmm....cant help as i'm not experienced enough....how are your 6 doing today???

pep - now its your time to be the overachiever smarty pants!! (with your 3 injections)....you poor thing...it will all be worth it in the end!!!

angie - oh, hunny i'm so feeling for you. i'm fed up with the injections after 9 days so god knows how you must feel!!! i really hope it wont be long now and your eggs will be perfect as a result!! as if all this isnt hard enough already!!! not long to go now....xxx

wanna - woohoo!! (sorry, im still excited!)...my scan went fine today. i trigger tomorrow eve at midnight and have my EC on monday at 11am. i'm so nervous but sooo excited too!! i have 6 follies that are between 15 and 17mm and 8 that are between 10 and 14 mm and lots of smaller ones. the nurse said she was pleased as i have the right amount and not too many. so hopefully we should get some!! how you doing?? bet you're still on cloud 9!!

Shantala--Awesome number and size of follies. That's a perfect amount. After the trigger they will be nice and ripe! I can't wait to hear your fert report!

You may have shared this already but is this your first IVF cycle? Dont be nervous about the retrieval. It will be over before you know it. And you'll get some good rest after it.

Yup, I'm still on cloud 9. I really dont think it's hit me yet. Maybe after the first scan. I'm waiting to hear back from RE regarding HCG level. I'm getting nervous. It's taking him forever to call me back. Trying not to stress or freak out.

wanna - i hope its good numbers and sizes...yes, its my first IVF...hence the nerves and not knowing what to expect. to be perfectly honest, i'm more worried about the ET than i am about the EC coz my trial ET was fairly painful. but then they did that without a full bladder so i'm sure the real one will be much better with a full bladder!!

aaahh, it's so great to hear you on cloud9! cant wait for your RE to call either.....let us know as soon as you know!!

Ok, my RE probably thinks I'm a stalker. I just called him to get my HCG numbers. I couldnt take it anymore. lol My HCG level is 167!! YIPPEE!! I asked about coming back for another test. He said he didn't see the need but if I really wanted to he would test again. lol I do want another test. I want to make sure the numbers keep increasing. So I"m going back next Friday (I have to wait a whole week) to take another blood test and then the u/s is the Friday after that.

Shantala dont worry to much it is not bad at all you will be fine, You have all of us behind you for support.
Wanna that is a great number!!!!!! I understand I was so nervous wiating for that second test and I felt alot better after it because my numbers did go up, makes you feel better, I have not been nauseous at all but I am eating all the time, I feel like I cannot get enough to eat, I am eating healthy as I can though yogurts, and fruits and veggies in between meals. Maybe that way I wont gain too much weight cause at this rate of eating I will.
Anyway I am still on the Crinone Hunt!! I have had a few responses that have helped so maybe I will get enough THanks Ladies Talk to you all Later

Mominwaiting - good luck with the crinone hunt. You sound like you are doing really well. You need to listen to your body and eat when you need. Bet you cannot take the smile off your face

Wannababyivf - what is a messed up meal compared to getting a BFP!!!! Think that we all plan in our head how we will tell our dh - it seems like one of the very best bits to me!! Great numbers. I am so pleased for you & dh. Think that you are right to push for a 2nd test to pit your mind at rest! Let's hope that the numbers have shot up by Friday for you

Angie - I am so sorry that you are down. I really do feel for you. I am sure that you are totally bored and chewed off with it all. You must feel like a right pin cushion. But I am sure that they are really trying to get you a great crop of eggs. Hope that the glass of wine helps you hun

Shantala - EC on Monday. WOW! Your numbers sound perfect. It is a bit daunting but you are going to do great. I just have sedation and know nothing about it. I always wake up going - how many? how many? Wishing you all the luck in the world

Jen1d - you are right. They appear to be right old fighters. See below. How are you doing with the injections? Hope that you are not on shifts all weekend and that you get some time to chill out and relax. I would update the list if I had a clue when ET might be!! See below!!!

Steph - how are you doing with all the jabs. Hope that you are growing some lovely follies. Hope that you are not too much of a pin cushion

Rachel - thanks for keeping an eye on all of us. How are you doing? Are you watching the ice skating. Not as good as X Factor of course but great way to pass Saturday nights I find!

Sorry that I did not get here yesterday. So I had the call Friday morning. Sat in a car park at a client that I am working with! All 6 ok. At that stage, we had 4 good 4 cells, 1 average 4 cell (looks a bit murky!) and 1 good 2 cell. So was quite pleased. They had met to discuss our case. The UK authority - HEFA - will not allow frozen from 1 cycle and fresh to be mixed. So if we had defrosted then it would just have been from that batch or this fresh batch - we could not pick best of both. So we agreed not to unfreeze - seemed too much of a waste of our precious snow babies - and to pray that the fresh ones can do the business for us.

Busy yesterday and we were out to dinner with a guy that I used to work for so last 24 hours seemed to whizz by. Thankfully. Got up to go to supermarket early in case we were on for ET today. Got call in Sainsburys of all places! Embryologist was so pleased for us. The average is now a 7 cell but the other 5 are all 8 - 10 cells. I am so happy. Go little ones Go!!!!!!!!!!! She even said that they were lovely but that if we went for ET today that she would not be able to decide whcih were the best. So we are going for the long haul. She'll go in and look at them tomorrow but she said no point her calling as they go through a transition phase. Next call will be Monday first thing. Come on embies! Then they will decide whether we have transfer on Monday am, pm or Tuesday. OMG. I so hope that they can make it. But we are into new terrotory for us now. Only ever done 2 day transfer before. I somehow feel better that they are outside me for now and being so well looked after - it is like I feel that my body will mess things up At least it will all shorten the 2ww for me if we get that far. So I need to work today so that I have time free on Monday/Tuesday. I hope that it might take my mind off things - fat chance . We might go horse racing tomorrow to take our mind off things.

Carolyn - Brilliant news, i cant belive there are 8 and 10 cell embies, they sound fab. You must be so nervous, it horrible waiting eh? Anyway have fun at the races and chill before ET

Steph - How your injections going. Feel bad complaining about my ONE when you have THREE to do

So the first injection came and went with a few heated words and lots of anxiety. I was so nervous for about an hour before then we had the hassle of mixing all the solutions together and arranging the needles, bring back the simple pen i used for the other cycles pleassssseee. However we eventually got it all organised and just as dh was about to shoot----he laughed----as you can imagine i nearly thumped him then yelled how difficult it was for me and it would be different if he had to do it etc etc. Finally the injection was done and it NIPPED LIKE HELL as there is double the liquid to go in this time. The area was then swollen for about an hour and i felt so sorry for myself So we decided to go to the cinema but i had to take my nasal spray and do this in the cinema as its all timed---anyone who saw me must have thought i was on drugs

So another day is over and i am dreading the next injection and feel nervous already, only half and hour to go This is NOT fun, i hate it

Will let you know how i get on tonight and log in tomorrow to see how everyone is.

Morning Ladies

Woke up at about 6am and just not able to go back to sleep. Worrying about how my little ones are doing and how/when ET might be and whether I am going to be able to arrange acu before and after. Plus how I juggle my work commitments so that I can drop everything at short notice. So many thoughts spinning around ...............

So of course I stopped pacing the house and thought that I'd come here to give me some sanity! What would I do without this board

Shantala - very best of luck for EC tomorrow. I hope that they are going to get loads of lovely eggs for you. See that you'll do a 2 day transfer so not long for you to wait to get them back where they belong! Remember to take it easy afterwards and let dh look after you. I get some cramps or bloating afterwards but just a bit like AF type pains. Shall think of you tomorrow hun

Nerms - the more the merrier. Glad that you are going to keep us posted too. Hope that your scan on Tuesday goes well and you are all ready to roll. It all feels like it is really starting to me when you get to the stimmies

Jen1d - I have decided that I'll add ET either tomorrow or Tuesday to the list. Hope that I am not tempting fate. Will not add my test date as yet but know already that if I get that far it will be March 15th. OMG. OMG. At least this waiting will count towards my 2ww so that might seem shorter!!!! Yeah Right! Sorry that you had a mare with the injection and a bit of a melt down - totally know that feeling. Hope that the next one was better for you. It can only get better - right! Good to see that Lola is going into the fray again. I so hope that you & your Oct 05 pals are going to get some good news from you both. Racing we were off to was at Huntingdon and has been abandoned due to the weather. Probably best as can take it easy rather than rushing around.

Rachel - so appreciate all your support. You have been a sweetie all the way through. Hope that you are having a nice weekend with dh
