monochromal twins?

Post by Fed7281 »

Hi,

I just found out yesterday from my first ultrasound that I am having identical twins. My RE said that only one embryo stuck and then divided. He also said that they are monochromal twins as they are sharing the same sack. I am wondering if this has happened to anyone before and were they able to carrier both babies to term? They are saying that they need to be monitered as one could deprive the other of food and things that they need to make it. I am just paranoid now that I could lose one. Any info or expirence would be great.

Thanks for your help in advance!
Erin

I am so pleased for you, I have 2 sets of identicals in my family to and all is well with them, as Aunty said they just have to be more cautious but that doesn't mean for one minute that they wont both make it, you mus be nervous but I am sure everything will be fine, keep us posted!!
