Wanna I was told that the day I had first Beta 9 days past transfer i was 4 weeks preg, you are suppose to count two weeks before your retrieval. You can also search internet for ivf due date calculator and enter you exact ER date and it will give you your due date. I did that and the Dr confirmed it. I am 5 weeks today and I had ER on the 10th of Feb and ET on the 15th of Feb. That kinda helps cause I am already on first leg of 2nd month just 7 more weeks left to get out of danger zone.
As for not worrying, after my last m/c, I have convinced myself to not get excited ie.. do not buy anytihing baby, do not tell anyone who is not vital, just do what your body tells you eat as much as you like for now you can always change your diet later, another thing is eat 3 times a day no matter what, just because you are not hungry does not mean that your baby is not. I just thing of it like this: Yes I am pregnant, yes there is a baby growing in my belly, I am going to do whatever I can to keep it healthy, and I am not going to do anything that could harm this baby. I also read in a book that being stressed over the health of your baby can actually make your morning sickness worse. i had ms so bad with last preg that I was hospitalized, and I was a nervous wreck the whole time I was preg. This time I am a lot more relaxed, adn I have had no morning sickness or even nausea, so go figure. you never know.
Ange I was told that I was going to have to stay on progesterone at least til the 9th week, they are suppose to do a test then to see if my body is producing it naturally, then I can stop, some women have to stay on it until the 12th week. I am praying to the high heavens that is not the case with me or we will be homeless lol
I am glad you finally got your meds, are you having any problems from the olive oil? By the time I got that it was too late for my bum to take anymore, I am still recovering.
My belly is swollen too, and like you no weight gain, I read that sometimes that is bowel distention, ie gas.. or could be water weight too.
The only thing i did was tool another test on the way to do beta just to check again.
Ok I have a cute story for you ladies:
2morrow is my mom's 57th birthday, and she has not known about anything I have been doing, and I have really wanted to tell her about being preg, but with everything we have been through and teh last m/c was very hard on her too, I have been keeping a secret and was going to until month 3 but I feel so good and all, I thought what the heck.
Sooo, I usually buy her some kind of jewelry for her birthday cause that is what she loves, well this year I bought her a jewelry box, and I put the +ive HPT in the box and sealed it all back up like it had never been opened. I wish I had taken a picture of her face when she opened the box and found that test, she just started to cry and shake. I had to go clam her down. And make her promise not to tell anyone. It was priceless, so now I have even more reason to help "tuffy" stick around. Another thing I found out I told my mom about the "tuffy" thing and she told me that was the first name my dad ( which died 6 yrs ago) called me, and my due date is the day after his birthday, So that is some really neat coincidences. Maybe that is my signs that this pregnancy is meant to be. You know it is amazing when you think of all the women who get pregnant and it never crosses their mind that they could ever miscarry, but if you have gone through the things that we have been through, it is a matter of everyday, means everything.
Anyway I have had a long day and I am going to go to bed, you ladies have a great day!!!
Heres to little snuggly babies in our bellies
