Hello ladies!

Charlie: thanks for answering my question! :) Sick of wearing panty liners!

Shantala: really looking forward to hear news about your EC! Make sure you have a heating pad or a hot bottle around just in case. I'll be thinking of you sweetie!

Welshbugger: aw, come on! Of course your body isn't perfect! But he's in love with you, right? And desires you, right? So there's gotta be something there that he finds attractive, and the same would go for pics! I'm really sad you're thinking that way... :( But the watch sounds lovely and the ring story even lovelier... talk about committment! :D

Aunty: glad to hear news darling! I hope you see lovely houses today! The house we bought was the second we visited... an absolute love at first sight. And by the way, unless you meant that you'd prefer to see yourself in the BFP section of the list (don't we all!), you're in the "thoughts and prayers" section. Of course Shantala wouldn't forget to put you on the list...

Lots of love!

Hi All,

Aunty... hope house hunting is going well. It can get frustrating but be so much fun at the same time. Are you still looking upstate NY?

Shantala....Hope you feel better. Good luck tomorrow!!! Can't wait to hear how many follies they get.

Druiett..so sorry for your loss. I'm sure there's so many mixed emotions for you and dh right now. Glad to hear your fighter is hanging in there. (((((hugs))))

Becky....the watch sounded like a wonderful idea. My dh didn't want a fancy wedding band either and he hasn't taken the one off we got him for a minute.

Rachel...hope you're doing well

Sophie...hope you had a great weekend. Any good movie reviews for us?

Rant Alert...

Well I went and had my 3rd beta done yesterday am and the dr. promised he' call early afternoon. By 6pm, I was at an annual sleepover party I have with my high school girlfriends and dh was home livid that we hadn't heard anything. I was having such a great time with friends but a damper was definitely put on my evening waiting for the call. DH called the emergency service and finally got a call back close to 8 pm and Dr. said he didn't get the results yet. My Translation...he had hours only til noon yesterday and probably left before results came in. Anyway he told dh he would call this am. Well that didn't happen. So I've pretty much spent my weekend worrying about my beta results since this was the test where everything went bad for me last time. ARRRGGHHH. I'm so aggravated. I know it's everything to me right now, but he should've never mismanaged my expectations. I just hope the news is good as I have a huge project implementation going on this week at work and need to function on all cylinders.

hugs,
Ange

Aunty - don't you love the real estate talk, DH and I figure they must go to a special training school to write all those cheesy ads. We sold a house a few months ago and had to ask the agent not to describe the place they way they did in the draft because we thought it was miss leading and overselling.

Ange - I agree it is totally frustrating when you don't get call backs etc when you are told to expect them - it may just be everyday business to the clinics but to us it is our life and future they are dealing with

Becky - we only got an inexpensive ring for my DH also but now he will not take it off for any reason at all - he has sore fingers that are stiff and achy in the morning and he still refused to remove it to see if it will make any difference. (it is lovely knowing it means so much to him - especially since he was anti wedding rings when we first got together).

Fiona - how are you doing!!!! I hope your little one is settling in well and you are feeling good. Take care and enjoy that Aussie summer!!!!

Sophie - I hope AF goes soon - it is a pain when it just hangs around - I bet you can't wait for DH to get home again and you have a lovely treat planned for him. PS - loved the calendar idea.

Welsh bugger - what about a box with 12 vouchers in - one for each month of the year - each is rolled up with ribbon with a month written on it. On the date of your anniversary each month he gets to open the next one. They could be things he likes - A night out with the boys, you'll go and watch a game of rugby with him, a back rub, a night away with out the kids, a drive to a secluded destination..... Pizza at the beach..... all sorts of fun things you both enjoy - that way your anniversary will last all year (it is also a great way to make sure you keep doing fun things together and don't get caught up with life !!)

Druiett - sorry to hear about losing one of your little ones, he/she will always hold a special place in your heart.

Meg - How are you doing - I still smile at the thought of your astonishment at finding a BFP back in January!!!!

Catch you all later -

hi ladies

just a quick one for me....

the actual EC was no problem at all....when i came round they told me we had 15 eggs so we were really pleased...however, when the embryologist came through she told us only 5 were mature and one is still undecided...she said she was disappointed and the least to say we are disappointed. she said about 50% usually fertilise so we're looking at maybe 2 or 3 if we're lucky....

i'm quite upset as we expected a lot more and 5 seemed even more of a set back once we were told we had 15! i'm worried we wont have any tomorrow or maybe just one, although at this point i would be happy if just one makes it. i was really hoping we would have enough to freeze some so that the pressure is off slightly if it doesnt work first time. now it looks like we'll have none to freeze which means the pressure is on for this first cycle to work (if we get that far!) as we dont know if we'll be able to do it financially again....

anyway, sorry its a bit negative but its difficult to feel positive at the moment...they are going to call us tomorrow morning about 10am - ish to let us know how many fertilised. i'm praying that we'll have at least one...

thanks everyone for your well wishes!

Shantala honey

Sorry you are feeling a bit negative, but its only natural. However, remember my story...? Only 3 eggs, 2 of which fertilised, and look what happened. Try to hold on the fact that it does only take one.

I will be praying for you. I know the wait to see how they've done is agonising, but try and keep positive for your little eggies. I will keep everything crossed this end for you honey.

Chin up and let us know how you get on.

Shant:

Hey hun - im with Ems on this one OK. She had 2 out of three 2nd time - 1st time she had 2 out of 2 (aint that right Ems) and so did i - yep 100% fertalization, not often it happens - but guess what, it CAN and it DOES. Have faith hun, i know ur disapointed and i know its easy for us to sit here and say 'dont worry' 'dont panic' etc. Think of it like this - ur eggs and ur DH's tadpoles are singing 'lets get it on' as we speak - if u have 5 brilliant, if u have 1 (which i doubt very much that will happen, i reckon at least 3 if not more :) ) then u have 1 more than what u had yesterday - and thats a sight better than none. So please hun, dont despair - stay positive, try and get a good nights sleep (easier said than done i know) have a glass of wine to relax u tonight - and remember 5 chances u have ...

Good luck we are all rooting for you - let us know tomorrow your good news :D

Love and hugz...

Becky Xxxx

And P.S - Well done little lady :D Xxxxxxx

Sorry about the way ur doc is treating u Ange. I know how nerve-wrecking it is to wait on betas. I can't imagine waiting an entire weekend.

Shantala....I will b praying that u get some strong fighters for ur transfer.

As 4 me...I am anxiously awaiting my beta from this morning. I am still so very nervous. Also terrified about my u/s on Thurs. I am praying everything is ok.
