FET March - anyone want to ride along with me?

Post by birdy »

Hi
I have my last two day2 frosties waiting for me to transfer.
I'm CD2 today and start my ethynol estridol (estrogen and I think I spelled it wrong) tomorrow.
First US is 16th March, looking at transfer sometime between 19th - 23rd. This is my third attempt - the last two my lining didn't get over 7mm so were cancelled. Have changed meds this time and am also doing acupuncture starting Thursday - CD6.
Anyone else cycling who would like to share their journey with me?

Where We Are:
Torrie - ET 13/4

In the two week wait
Sat - (?) embies on board. Beta Date 19/3.
Kat - (?) embies on board 13/3. Beta Date?
Ab - 2 embies on board 19/3. Beta Date?
Nelly - 2 embies on board 20/3. Beta Date 2/4
Dolly - 2 blast embies on board 29/3 - Beta Date 2/4 ?

Results
Beta - Light - BFN :(
POAS - Sam - BFN :( Beta Date?
Beta - Birdy - BFN :(

Hey Birdy,

Yep...I should be having a FET this month. Just waiting for my LH surge, which is delayed due to the stim cycle (last month).

I am not too hopeful, I only have one embryo on ice and it is only 2 cell, grade 3. Basically even if it survives thaw my dr is only giving me a 5% chance...but hey, 5% is better than 0%.

HI!! I am doing FET too. I am looking at a transfer date of the 19th! I have 4 frozen 6 day blasts and we are transferring all that make it. If this doesn't work (PLEASE let it work!) we will be going on to a fresh cycle probably in the summer time.
IVF/ICSI#1 in Nov 2006!
BFP but sadly lost our baby at 8w4d...

March FET!!! 4 frozen 6 day blasts!

Hi Sam and Ab
I have to admit to being a little worried. My embies were frozen at Day 2 and are two cells, so the thaw is concerning me a little.
I need to get through the lining problems first though. Started a different drug to the last 2 times yesterday and increase the dose tomorrow. My first scan will be Friday 16th. Am also going to an acupuncturist this time - first appointment tomorrow.
Glad to have you both along to share with!

Hey Girls,

I am cd20 and still have not had my LH surge. B/c I just came off a stim cycle my O has been delayed. Hopefully when I OPK tomorrow I will see something. I have been having bloods every second day just to be sure.

Birdy...I have one 2 cell, frozen on day 2. I know of three other people who have had lovely babies from 2 cell day 2 embies. Lets hope you and I make it 5 people! I hope your lining starts bulking up. I have acupuncture and just love it.

Hey Ab...how are you going?

Can I join in? I don't know all the 'lingo' used here but will try and keep up! My second cycle transfer is on Tuesday, I have 11 embies, grade one. Good luck to everyone for this month.

FET 3/9

Post by lightcomingon »

Hey All!
This is my second IVF try, the first was with fresh, 3 day blasts, 6,7,8 cells. I miscarried at 9 weeks. Now we have 2 3day frozens, slightly less quality. I have my transfer tomorrow. Good luck to all of us, right?!

Hey Girls,

Finally surged today (this is a natural cycle). My transfer is booked for Monday. Please cross your fingers that my one little emby makes it through the thaw.

Hope you are all well...

Hi Samara

That is so sweet! I really hope your embie makes it through the thaw too! Can you tell me more about a natural cycle and what is involved?

Hi Katrina,

I am on a natural FET cycle. I have also heard of people doing natural IVF cycles - but I am not really sure what this means.

A natural FET cycle is basically a normal cycle where you wait for a natural ovulation and then a thawed embryo is transfered back to you. When you ovulate they thaw your embryo or embryos and put them back in on the appropriate day. Eg - if you have a 3 day embryo they will but it back three days past ovulation. So no stimulation, just OPKs for a week, then bloods every second day to check LH, plus I had a couple of scans to see what my lead follicle was doing.

I hope that makes sense...

Hi everyone
So good to see a few of us in here. Will put together a list so we can keep track of each other and add it to my first post.
Lightcomingon - how did you go yesterday?
Glad you've surged Samara - good luck tomorrow!
Hi Katrina - hope all goes well on Tuesday for you.
Ab - how are you?
Me....I had my acupuncture on Thursday afternoon - I love it too. He wants to come to my clinic on the day of ET to have a session just before and just after ET but my clinic have said no  Am hoping to change their mind. He is an hour's round trip from my clinic and I don't really want to be doing too much travelling on the day of ET. Might just have to be satisfied with sessions the day before and after. I also have a nice meditation CD the acupuncturist gave me. I play it at bedtime and it's so nice - I manage to drift off to sleep in the middle of it every time. Wind chimes, bells and rain. Have also started up my yoga, by DVD, as well.
Stay well everyone!

Well, my two frozen eggs thawed well. They were 6 and 7 cell 3 day blasts. The doc seemed happy with them. I also got back the news about my m/c tissue sample. The egg had an extra chromosome. Not a surprise and certainly not uncommon. Let's hope one or even both of these little embies take!

The progestrone shots are a b*tch, but FET is so much simpler!

Light...good news about your embies thawing well...and also great to have an answer about the miscarrage results.

My transfer is schedule for 12:20pm tomorrow. FX that my one little emby makes it out of the freezer...
