Thanks for letting me join the forum... keeping my fingers crossed for everyone!

To answer your questions - yes this is a natural pregnancy, which is amazing but no less nerve-wracking for the fact. My Dr. didn't offer a blood test as he only does that for IVF cycles, but I wish I'd asked for one as we've got to wait 3 weeks for our first scan. So we're on a 3ww!

Am chanting the 'please stick' mantra to my little pumpkin seed!

You all take care,

Caroline

Carbev—I am totally with you. I’m singing everyday to my little babies to keep growing inside mommy’s tummy. Stick to the walls and grow! That’s my theme song. I want these babies (not sure how many I am carrying but we transferred two) or baby to be healthy and I want to deliver full term. I guess the worrying never stops. Even after we give birth we will find something to worry about. lol WOW!! Natural pregnancy! That’s awesome!

Ange—I’m also having heartburn and headaches once in a while. Still feel the pulling. More on one side than the other (it’s freaking me out). I feel a little nauseous if I don’t eat. Also, I have to use the bathroom…all the TIME! I think you summed up my feeling pretty well (about being “gun shy”). I couldn’t have said it better myself. That’s exactly how I feel. It’s like you want to stay positive. You want to be excited about it. We went through a lot to get here! We should be shouting it from the roof tops. But then there is that little voice that is holding you back because of the reasons you described. I’m praying that you get some awesome numbers from your last beta. Let us know!

mominwaiting—I went to the IVF site and calculated my due date and how far along I am. I am due November 9th and I am 4 weeks and 3 days. Mother’s day is in May so maybe I’ll do it then if I can wait that long. :P

Ok, ladies, so now what….we just wait and enjoy the next several months. We can lean on each other to get thru this.

Hello my fellow November mommies!

So I called my dr. first thing this am and he was with patients. He called me at 12:30, apologized profusively and told me my beta was 614. He said it was right where it should be. I of course wished it was higher, but he said the trend is what's important and I'm right on target. My ultrasound is scheduled for 3/17. Yipee!

I'm laughing at all of us who wish we were feeling sicker! I'm only laughing because I feel exactly the same way! Wishing I'd get some intense dizzy spell or wave of nauseau. I guess we are all so used to getting confirmation on things throughout this process, we are still looking for it. Dr. gave me the OK to take zantac for the heartburn thank god. I was in such pain last night, it hurt to swallow my own saliva.

Mom...if you need to go to prog. shots, which one would you take? olive or sesame? I have 3 full unopened vials of sesame if you want them. I think it was the sesame that gave you your bad reaction though, so that wouldn't be good. I have to stay on progesterone for 12 weeks, how long do you have to continue?

Wanna...How are you feeling? Still waiting for the big sign that this is really happening. Do you think we'll stop worrying eventually? Gosh I hope so!

Caroline...How are you feeling? Any symptoms?

Well ladies I better get back to work, definitely having trouble focusing today. Have a great day.

hugs,
Ange

Mominwaiting—Hmm, you might have a point about the showing. My mom lives about 45 minutes from me. I might have to avoid her for a little while. lol I would have to agree about the progesterone making you evil. I have been a real b@tch lately. I’m not sure what is up with my hormones. I’m running to potty every 5 minutes. Also, have the pulling feeling and sometimes I get really tired. I also have the nausea. It is the worst. Gingerale is my best friend.

Ange—Glad you finally got your beta results. Don’t get so caught up in the numbers (remind me that in a couple days. lol) As long as they are where they should be. Please don’t wish to be feeling sick. It’s not the best feeling at all. It’s sort of a pain in the ass. I’m just having random nausea. It comes and goes. I’m ready for it to go. The heart burn is a pain in the butt. Let me know if the zantac works. All I’ve been taking is Tums. I’m praying we will stop worrying soon. Maybe after the 1st scan. After we see the heartbeat maybe? Your scan is the day after mine.

Hope you all are doing well. You ladies can have my nausea anytime you are ready.

Wanna...I'm so sorry you're not feeling well, I didn't realize you had such nausea already. Have you tried ginger snaps or saltines? I have a stash in my desk at work...just in case. I am definitely not looking forward to feeling that way, I'm actually afraid to throw up. Should be interesting. Do you think it can be any of the meds that are making you feel sick? I'll definitely let you know how the zantac works.

Feel better!

It’s weird but I don’t get the nausea feeling all the time, which I am happy about. But I’m beginning to put my finger on it. If I’m not hungry and I wait to eat, I start to feel nauseous when I get a little hungry. It’s like as soon as I feel hungry I have to eat something or I start to feel sick. So with that said, maybe if I continue to eat even when I’m not hungry then maybe I wont feel nauseous. But then I’ll be a pig. :? Basically I mostly feel nauseous when I am hungry. lol I have stocked up on peppermints, spearmint gum, and Tums. They are a life saver!! I also have saltines and water by my bed.

I hate throwing up. I felt like I was about to throw up two nights ago and I just stood still for a minute with this awful look on my face. DH said I looked constapated. lol He asked what was wrong. "I told him I felt like I was going to throw up...but I refuse to part with my dinner. It was just to good." He could not stop laughing. Shoooooooooot, I put a lot of effort into that meal. I wasn't going to part with it that easily. So I chewed some gum and the feeling went away. :D

I am on the prometrium vaginal suppositories and they can sometimes cause nausea so that may have something to do with it. I honestly think its way to early to have morning sickness. I pray I don’t have it at all. I just think I have a little one (or little ones) that like to eat and when they are hungry, they want to eat right away! LOL

On another note, is everyone taking their prenatal vitamins??? If so, do you know the name? My Doctor just prescribed a new one for me. Its two vitamins once a day. You have to plan your meals around them. Take vitamins 2 or 3 hours before a meal or 1 hour after a mean. Is this even possible?? lol Don’t the manufactures know that pregnant women eat all the time. Then it says don’t lie down for 30 minutes after taking. GEESH

Good Lord Wanna what kind fo prenatals are those? That is nuts to have to do all that, it could be the prenatals making you sick too, with my last preg I took one that was DHA (something?) and it had two pills one of htem were fish oil, and ughhh you think burping up fish isn't gong to make you sick you are crazy :!: ANyway when i started this cycle they let me try 3 different kinds to see which I liked and which did not make me sick. The one I take is called Natelle Prefer it is pink with a sugar coated outside, I take it first thing in the morning with my estrace, then I do my supp and go lay back down for 30 mins or so. Even when I was taking it before progesterone supp's I have had no nausea at all from them. You might ask if you can use something else and see if it helps.
Well I have had a light bout of nausea today, just kinda feel crudy. I was leaving my house and heading to office and put a piece of orbit gum in my mouth, the juice from the gum got hung in my throat, I started to choke and cough, and next thing I knew I was puking(TMI?) I had to just stop and do it right there in the driveway, hanging out the door lol. I dont know if it was the gum or what I had already been feeling puny to start with.
Anyway Ange I am really glad you finally got you numbers, my US is the 13th and I am ready!!

Wanna...Zantac has done wonders!! I feel so much better. I am also taking Natelle Pre-Natal Vitamin(same as mom). I have had no issues with it at all. It's supposed to be the easiest on your stomach and it's one pill, once a day. I take mine at night...just in case it would make me nauseaus.

Mom..awww poor thing losing it in the driveway! Guess it's better than while you're driving. Hope you feel better. You must be so excited for you u/s.

So we are all within days of eachother, how exciting. My prediction is next week, we will start feeling symptomatic. Let's hope nothing too sever. :)

Wanna Those Natelle's have never given me any problems at all, maybe you should ask if you can switch to that.
Ange I meant to tell you that I have to stay on progesterone until week 9, they are going to test me then and see if I am producing enough on my own to sustain the pregnancy and if so no more!! I got everything crossed for that!!
I had another girl post me today and she has 4 that she is going to send me, that is only 2 days but hey that is 2 days closer!!! Also, I contacted the manufactuer and they told me that because they just took over the med in Feb that the only thing they could do was give me a voucher for $30 per prescription, which I kinda hummed about until I found a website ivfmeds.com that offers 15 supps for $90. WOW can you believe that they are that cheap, I paid $215 for 18. So I think I am going to order the rest that I need from them. They are out of the UK and will ship the med to me for $39. So wish me luck that all will come together!!!
See Ya Girls, Going Home to sit in my lazy boy lol yeah right, right after the maid and butler leave

Welcome Boomer! Congrats on your BFP, that's awesome!

Mom...I'm so glad you've gotten some assistance with your meds. I have to be on the prog. shots and suppositories 12 weeks. UGH. But hey, if it keeps my baby where it needs to be, I'm fine with it.

Wanna...I read your beta results on another thread! Holy smokes...3000! No wonder you haven't been feeling well with an hcg like that. No doubt there's more than one in there. How many did you transfer? So happy for you!

Here I am again counting down to the next event, my u/s. I just want to see something there. I can't wait.

Hope everyone is feeling well, feeling good here.

hugs,

Boomer—Welcome and congratulations!! Isn’t it exciting!?!?!? Good Luck with your blood work. Let us know how it goes.

Mominwaiting—I think I’m taking the DHA ones. That sounds familiar. It’s something that starts with a “D’. They’re actually not that bad. Although I do burp fish oil. Gross. I take them right before I go to bed. Well a half hour before I go to bed. Another thing is they’re so darn expensive. Can someone please tell me why Viagra is covering under insurance but prenatal vitamins aren’t. Such an injustice.

Ange—I was thinking the same thing about having symptoms already possibly due to the high beta. Even my doctor couldn’t believe it. When I saw him on Wednesday he said, I expect your numbers will be somewhere around 1000 or so. Then he said you cant really see anything until you reach 3000 or so. When he called me, he said he could probably see something now. But probably not a heart beat. So I’ll just wait. We transferred two. We had three of the exact same quality but only transferred two. Geesh, I can just imagine but my numbers would have been if we transferred all three. I can handle twins but triplets…wow. But then again I’ll be happy with whatever God gives me. Good Luck with your u/s! Hope all goes well. Keep us posted

Hope everyone is doing well! About to retire for the evening. Have a good night/morning where ever you are.

Sending you all love and wonderful pregnancies!!

Keep singing to your little ones. Stick to the walls and grow!

Hello Ladies,

I am new to this forum, but I already feel like I know all of you. I have been reading different posts for months, but never had the courage to join.

I am so nervous to actually say this out loud, but I am due November 6th.
This is my first IVF cycle, and I would have to say that it was the hardest thing I've ever done. The emotional rollercoaster was unbelievable. I hope it's okay if I start at the beginning.

I had ER on 2/14 (Valentine's Day). We got 14 beautiful eggs. Then we got a very big surprise. We only got 2 sperm from DH's sample. That's right 2. They tried to use the frozen sample, but none of them made it. So, we did an emergency testicular biopsy. Kind of funny, it was Valentine's Day and neither one of us could move. He sure knows how to show a girl a good time. We only had 6 eggs fertilize, and only 4 made it to day 3. We had 1-8cell, 2-6cell, and 1 really ugly 5cell. They weren't very good quality, so we transfered the best 3 on 2/17. I was so sure that it didn't work. DH forced me to go in for my beta on 3/3 and we were shocked to find out it was BFP, (203). They said that anything over 100 was good, so they didn't need to do another beta. Is this normal? I didn't believe it, so I came home and did several HPT, all positive. I have an appt. on 3/21 for my first ultrasound and I am so scared that it is not really true. I don't feel anything, so I am still skeptical. I can't stand all this waiting.

Hopefully by joining, I can pick-up on some of y'all's good luck.

Good Luck to us all,
NaeNae
