Anyone ever go on Provera before to get their period started? I did 5 days on 10mg, last pill was Friday. No period yet. I took Provera a few years back for the same reason but I have no recollection as to when my cycle began. Trying not to fret. The RE told me to call on the first day of my cycle but no one told me how many days I should allow to lapse before calling if it doesn't start. I'll likely call Friday morning, seven days from the day of my last pill, if I'm not bleeding by then.

Any thoughts?

people usually start bleeding with in 2 wks. So try waiting for another week and see. Also, try natural things to stimulate your periods. Jump roping helps, some indian spices triggers. "Sesame Toffee" This works like charms.. have it everyday it has good health benefits and will help you get your periods. you can get this in any Indian grocery store..or simply chew on White sesame seeds with brown sugar & molasses. Dont have this if you are pregnant. goodluck

I get mine within 2-3 days after my last pill..
But my nurse has told me each time it could take up to 2 weeks. Everybody is different and it doesn't mean anything bad. The waiting sucks though so hopefully you get her soon!

yes that it is true from the time you take the last pill it sometimes take up to 2weeks i just had to take it for my last cycle and i didnt even finish it i still had like 3pills left and it came so just try and be patient it will come

Can you believe it came last night? So today is CD 1 according to my nurse. I'm elated!

i am glad it came u see just have a little patience and faith it will all work out in the end but i understand when u want something so much we always tend to be anxious like me i cant wait for next week for af to come to start my cycle

YAY! I usually have no sign of her coming either when on provera. I usually wipe and BAM she is here.. THEN the cramps start. Weird.

Because I have PCOS, that's really the only way I'll get my period to come. I'm lucky to have 2 periods a year on my own [without taking Provera]. All of the IUI cycles I have had, I've had to take Provera. NOT FUN.

I had to take Provera for my IVF cycle [My first and most recent which resulted in a BFP] and it took about... I'd say... maybe a 4-5 days to arrive. If not, more. No more than 7 days though, that's for sure. It was weird because the IVF clinic kept calling me to ask me if my period had arrived yet so we could start on treatments already but nope... It got here late. They almost postponed my IVF to a later date due to that...

What worked for me? Seriously... and this has almost been everytime. Having SEX with the hubby. Then the next day, it arrived. Never planned. Just happened... so, hey, worked for me! *tehehehe*
