Ovulation question
Ovulation question
Hello, everyone. I have been charting temp. every day for the last 8 months and this is the first cycle on clomid + iui. Before clomid, my temp always spike up within 2 days of positive ovulation test result and I always had clear cervical mucus, however, for the first time, the temp did not change this month or no cervical mucus. Does this mean that I did not ovulate even with the help of clomid? I have a 28 day cycle and used to have a positive ovulation test result on around day 16. This month, it was day 11, and had an insemination on day 12. Any comment is appreciated. I am so confused and frustrated...
I don't know the answer for sure but you should have had an ultrasound before the IUI to determine if you produced follicles and how many. Did you have that? I would assume that if you are producing follicles and they are good size at the time of ultrasound, you would receive an HCG injection (Profasi is the drug that they have given me) which causes the follicles to mature and rupture that being ovulation.
As far as temperature charting with Clomid, I have noticed within my own charts that when I am taking Clomid, my temperature is a little different especially before ovulation. I have also noticed that sometimes my temperature doesn't dip and spike consistent to what is supposed to be ovulation. I have asked my dr. about this and she has told me not to worry because if the follicles are seen on the u/s and you receive the HCG, you will ovulate any where between 24-36 hours after even if your temp. chart is showing you otherwise.

Thank you for your reply. I had an ultrasound the day after I got my last period, but they did not tell me if I was producing follicles or I never asked. They did not give me HCG injection, either. The day after I had a positive LH surge, I had an insemination on day 11. Today on day 15, I jsut noticed egg white cervical mucus. so I took an ovulation test again. It's positive again. LH surge detection on day 10 was false?!?! I am still cofused. I wounder if had tested too early on day 10. Has anyone had a similar confusion? I just spoke to a nurse. She told me to stop taking a test since it will drive myself crazy. All the signs of ovulation are there on day 15. I might have had insemination too early...
