Great news. The dr called last night and we came to an understanding about what we are willing to pay for. WOOOOOOOOOO HOOOOOOO. I really do like my dr. and I knew we could come to an understanding. He wasnt very friendly but who cares!! I am willing to be the b*tch to get what we deserve.

happy birthday Shantala!

et went great! yup- able to hold it! it was nothing more than just a normal u/s as far as feeling went. didn't hurt or anything.
we had 2 transfered back in. I'll put pictures up in a bit as soon as I scan it in and figure out the picture thing on here.

so they had the pictures of our babies up on the projector when we went into the conference room and gave us the spiel- we've had to destroy 5 of them and transfer 2 back so 22 left right now. she was going to call me today to let me know how many they are going to freeze.

so up on the screen there was our 2 babies and 1 has a little "nub" on the outside of the cell- dh was actually kinda nervous so I was making him laugh and I pointed it out and said- "there's your boy hunny" JUST AS THE lab nurse was walking in. of course we're both laughing and she asked what we were laughing about (she saw me pointing) and i said nothing. and she said "oh come on" and so chris told her that that one was a boy. and she said "I knew that's what you were thinking". kinda funny- had to be there I guess.

I had the first person congrat me yesterday and it was the walmart picture guy! lol! I was making copies of the ultrasound pictures and the pictures of the cells so that I could send it to all the grandparents and i gave him the pictures after so he could count and ring it up and he said "congratulations" . very cool- but still not ready mentally I don't think.

and as far as being ready mentally- I don't have a 2WW! I test on March 16th. both the dr and the ivf nurse both said next friday. I said "Oh I thought you had to wait 2 weeks?" and they said "well, you've been waiting 2 weeks already- this saturday is a week and then next will be 2 weeks.
???? so kinda nervous- why can they do it in 1 ww really and everyone else has to wait 2? and will I have enough HCG in one week? what if I don't and they say I'm not pregnant and then 1 week later it turns up that we are pregnant? talk about emotional rollercoaster!! I told DH all this and he said- well are you going to tell them that you don't want to go until march 23rd then? I said no- obviously they can do it on march 16th- just not sure how....

that's it for me- but being very careful as to body temp and everything now- driving- sorta like having a baby in the car anyways- weird how a switch just comes on- at least it did for me.

I'll get pics up soon- but March 16th is the day!

Kandice, Yeah you have two little embabies back home safe and sound! I understand the testing concern. My doctor does the test 9 days after ET since I do a day 5 transfer when added up it equals 14 days. I had the same fears but everything will work out. Sending you lots of sticky vibes!!

Sonya So glad to hear you worked everything out with your doctor! Now you can focus all your energy into this cycle! Congratulations and good luck! Thank goodness I have my own office and happened to have to door closed when I fell asleep, otherwise how embarrassing!!

Madeeq I am so sorry to hear about your struggles. I can only imagine how frustrated you must feel. Please feel free to vent and unload here any time. If there is anything we can do to help you just let us know!!

Sonya- WOOOHOOO!!! So happy you and your doctor reached an understanding. I'm sorry that you had to deal with that mess in the first place but at least now you can put it behind you and focus on a successful cycle!

Katt- Congrats on bringing two embies home safe and sound! I hope you decided to skip work today and take it easy. You deserve a day of rest!!

Mandeeq- Sorry to hear about your cycle being postponed. I'm sure you are so frustrated and that is totally understandable. Are they going to try any different meds to see if they can improve the lining? I really hope they figure it out fo you soon. (((HUGS)))

Jill- Can't believe you fell asleep at your desk!! That Lupron really is a pain in the a$$ isn't it?? Are you getting headaches? I had them at first but they went away after a few days. I hope you like acu tomorrow. I've loved it and found it really relaxed me during this whole process.

Caroline- Congratulations!!! That's amazing!!! What a blessing for you and DH. Wishing you a happy and healthy nine months.

Well I had my second scan today and all looks good!!! In addition to the 17 follies they counted the other day I've had a bunch of smaller ones pop up so my total is probably close to 25. They said I'm measuring around 11-12 each which means most likely I will trigger Sunday and then have EC Tuesday, the 13th. I will go back in tomorrow for another scan and they will finalize after that. I'm so excited girls!!!

This is my first IVF cycle ever, just wondering if it is normal to feel super uncomfortable 2 days before retrieval. I have alot of follicles so I guess that's why. I'm feeling a wee bit nervous about pain afterwards.
I'm a phys. ed teacher and I told the kids today I would be away for a little while then of course they all want to know why. I told them I have to have a little surgery done then for some odd reason they asked me if I'm pregnant! I guess my tummy is that bloated from all of this, I hope I can tell them yes in a few weeks. My thoughts and prayers are with all of you who are going through this.

Woooo Hoooo I survived my first acupressure appointment! I was so nervous but the acupuncturist was wonderful at explaining every detail. I was amazed how many questions she asked about all aspects of my health. The actual acu went great! There were a few places that I felt the needle go in and others that I did not feel at all. Some of them created twinges the entire time but they were not painful at all. The acupuncturist recommended I add soy to my diet due to the fact that is has a high content in estrogen or it assists in creating estrogen. I'm not sure which, has anyone else heard this?

Yarnista, I was also very uncomfortable the few days prior to the EC. Try and relax as much as possible. It will get better soon! I hope your cycle goes wonderfully and praying for a strong BFP for you!

Kandice, I love the little nub, I will laugh so hard when you find out you are pregnant with a baby boy! That would be great! Take care and keep those embabies safe and warm.

Steph, boy did I ever get the headaches. They have pretty much gone away now. Thank goodness. Congrats on all the follies Keep positive and your EC will go beautifully!
