I wasn't on "bed rest", but they told me to try to stay off my feet for 2 days after my transfer. So the day of the transfer and two days after that. They also told me the extent of my activities should be sitting at the computer and preparing my meals. Hope that helps!

I was on bed rest for three weeks. One a half weeks before and one and a half after. Excessive, I know, but this my second time around, and the whole thing is very expensive, so I though I would do everything I can to help it work. Although for the three weeks it wasn't strict bed rest, it was more of a stay off my feel as much as I can, and no stress.
I wasn't on bed rest at all... however I did lay down for the rest of the day the day I had embryo transfer.
Then the following day I just went back to my normal activities. As long as you don't do anything strenous or stressful, I think it's ok. But do whatever you feel comfortable doing. If you think bed rest will increase your chances, it doesn't hurt!
Not there yet but plan to have complete bed rest for at least 4/5 days, if you can .... why not. I have started stockpiling good books and dvd's in preparation (the first sex in the city's .... yey here we come). After that gonna take it easy for as long as I have to, so much at stake.
I was told 24 hour bed rest only bathroom breaks after transfer-then light to normal activity after.
Dr. said lack of blood flow to the uterus when on bed rest is not healthy either. Regular activity with no heavy lifting and no gym are good blood flow.
Also don't worry of sneezing or coughing or having constipation (tmi sorry) will not harm the transfer of . The eggs will not come out and implantation will not be harmed. So hope this helps too
