Is period pain normal?
It seems everyone's asking similar questions - this 2WW is driving us all crazy and paranoid. I'm on day 6 and have stomach cramps and some spotting just like I am about to come on. If I hadn't just gone through the rigours of IVF I'd swear I was about to start my period. This can't be a good sign. Will someone be honest with me?

Hi Bonnycat - I am on my 2ww (day 9) of my second cycle. I got pregnant on my first cycle but miscarried at 6 weeks. I had implantation bleeding 11 days after egg collection on my last cycle which last three days and it started as light spotting and i really did think it was a period in the end as it was so heavy and i had to wear normal pads. Obvioulsy I thought the worst but then I was pregnant on the day of the rest!! Apparently, its just the embryos snuggling into the lining of the womb.
What day was your egg collection?
I am expecting some spotting maybe on monday now cos if i dont get any i will worry i'm not pregnant this time!!!!
Please try not to worry, every woman is different but i really think its a good sign.

Thanks for your words of reassurance. This is my first time and I just don't know what to expect so I really do appreciate hearing other people's experiences. I had 2 embies transferred on Monday 5th March so this is day 6 now. The egg collection was the previous Wednesday which would make this day 11.

There you go you are having the spotting on the same day i did so i would think positively cos the embryos seem to like you.
I wish you all the best with your treatment - please keep us all posted of your progress.

Thanks again Cat, you've managed to keep my paranoia at bay for a while longer!
I've been told to have my blood test on Wednesday 14th March. It should really have been the 15th but the doc is recommending a day early so I can get to London if I am pregnant for further tests. Not too long to wait now!
I'll keep in touch - hope it'll be good news for us both!!
