Hi sistas - well here's my scan update followed by a funny story which will crack you all up!

Scan first - 2 big follies now too big and will either need to be drained or will resolve themselves. However now have 8 to 12 follies gaining ground at about 10 to 12 mm - since tweaking the dose he is now 70% sure I will get to EC. ( had to force the % out of him - went in there determined to get facts this time). I have the dubious honour of being his only patient where there has been such a thin line between over and under stimulating -so with regard to my 20 plus days of stimming, I might discount the first 14 and count from then!

And here 's the comedy part of the visit. Arrived to find clinic looking like a bomb had hit it, all the furniture stacked up and the carpets pulled to reveal concrete floors. Seemed they were laying new carpet. After the scan, as always, nerves meant I needed to go to ladies just round the corner so handed my bag to DH and said I'd meet him out the front. Walked across the concrete floor in my thongs/flip flops (whatever you call them in your part of world) and half way across got stuck on the carpet glue - went a another step and the second foot got stuck! Yelled out expetives to DH who thought I was just being an Un-co in my thongs and had no idea I was attached to the floor. Carpet layer had to come to my rescue and I grabbed hold of him before I toppled. His mates laid me down a special carpet tile pathway across the floor to get me to safety. In the midst of all this out came Dr D in his surgical attire off to theatre.

It's was a case of do I laugh or cry - with the hormones as they are could have gone either way - but luckily saved further emabarassment and laughed hysterically - really hysterically in fact.

Another scene for our musical perhaps ?

Have a great weekend ladies and I'll check in tomorrow. Oh and next scan is Tuesday. Bye for now. A

OOOPs got cut off mid post!

OK Mego, got all choked up when I heard that you were using Aussie slang, at last I've managed to teach someone something. Onya.

Sassy I am more than ready for your PM rant, will be anxiouslychecking to see when the package has landed. I can barely contain myself so please hurry! You rant so good.

And Angie what can I say, a classic. Definately a scene for the musical. I bloody laughed when I read your post, loved it! Poor old Dr D, I have quite a mental picture of him. Well roll on Tuesday!!!

Have to go, brother is champing at the bit to get on the computer, damn him

Hello ladies!!!....

Ange...your story was hilarious, I can picture you stuck to the floor and Dr D in his surgical attire, it should definitely go to the musical!!!.....we could do some kind of analogy between sticky baby dust and sticky floors.....LOL

Sassy....I am absolutely in for your rant, send that PM!! ....hope your HA is better....

Fee....know what you mean by taking care of an adult baby, same thing here......

Patie....how are Missy and...(don't remember the other name..oops  ), do you still need me to take care of your landlord??....let me know, I am training Sanson to bite nasty landlord's butts!!

Mel....welcome back!!!!. How's your pinkie toe doing now??....

Wanna....I am with you in the waiting to tell people. My last cycle I told everybody immediately, and it was hell, I mean, people had very good intentions, but it ended up being too much pressure. So this time around me and DH decided not to tell anybody, I hope I can stick to that.....Ooooo TMJ, that sucks!!!, hope it gets better!!

Sorry if I missed anyone.....

As per me, I am at the end of my "natural 2ww" ......AF should be here by tomorrow or so. So will see what happens.
This past Thursday was our 4th year anniversary with DH (we've actually been together for 14 years), we went out to eat to our favourite restaurant (an argentinean steak house, of course  )....it was nice.....

Hope everyone is having a fab weekend....

Angie..your story cracked me up....you are hillarious... the % is good and promising...so let's see!

Fee...you are surely pampering DH... why do u need to assist him?

btw i've been getting frequent bleeding since more then 10 days...which was time for AF...but w/o the normal flow... and then today i got the cramps... I called my doc he said he's thinking of putting me on the pill to regulate things...I am not too convinced and he was in a hurry to sum up the call... its hard these days to get hold of him... one time after an IVF i had a cyst... so i guess its the same case now...
Do i have to see him??? what do u think??

Hey Ladies!

Angie~ OMG that is soooo funny! I'm glad to hear your US's are getting better! And Tuesday will be even better!

Wanna~ Sorry to hear about your TMJ. That really sucks. And don't you wonder why this happens right after you find out your prego. Seriously after all this time you wait to get prenant, now of all times this happens when you cant really take anything. I'm sorry, I hope the Tylenol is working a little bit. CONGRATS on your numbers by the way!!! That is awesome!! Have you decided yet when and how you're going to tell people? Aren't people driving you crazy to find out? I'm sure that's hard.

Sassy~ I'm glad to hear your headaches are better. That's got to be a HUGE relief. Headaches are so miserable, escpecially when they're always there! When do you start stimming?

Patie~ I hope your cycle gets regulated. I know what you mean about trouble getting a hold of the dr's office. It seems like (at least with my dr) if there's something even the slightest bit off of "their schedule" they are extremely inconvenienced.

I hope everyone else is doing well and having a good weekend! I am working the whole weekend, so it's not much fun for me!
Talk to everyone soon!

The package has been delivered. I sent to to everyone (i think) who said they wanted it. I left a lot out... but you are getting the Reader's Digest version, and as you will notice... it is plenty long enough!!!!

Angie: hwah, hwah, hwah! that was very funny... and definitely deserves it's own scene in the reproducers!!! i am glad to hear that you have a batch of follicles ready to obey their mother. Hoping you get good news on tuesday!!!!

fee: you will make a fab mother! Lots of practice with that dh of yours...

Nickster: i am actually on day 7 of stims. It looks like i will be going for a good wk more as things aren't moving very quickly (although, can't complain, i am moving faster than our dear Angie...)

I have been wearing my sisterhood tshirt around the house. dh is worried of what people will think if i wear it out since it has the big 'ol syringe on the back. I told him "let's give 'em something to talk about!"

us today was ok... but still not looking great (maybe i was just spoiled last cycle). Argh!! Us again on Mon. Angie, i don't know how you have been doing this so long...

Hi Ladies!! Hope you all are doing well. Let’s see if I can touch base with everyone.

Nickster—How are you? Where are you in your cycle? I am so confused. I think we need a list of some sort. I’m having a hard time keeping up...which doesn’t surprise me. Yup, sucks about the TMJ. Today was actually a good day. Didn’t bother me too much. Had a slight headache but it went away. Yesterday spent the entire day with cotton in my ear. Was basically yelling at everyone because I couldn’t hear myself. lol

Amy—Screw the if you don’t have something nice to say…craploa. That’s not what we’re about. Go ahead girl. Get it off your chest. That’s what we’re here for. Ph@ck it, that’s what we live for. I had braces freshman year of high school but didn’t wear my retainer after they came off. Which was a big no no and the reason why I have a slight gap now. But oh well, whatcha gonna do. He did recommend a mouth guard. I would be afraid that I would swallow it as I tend to sleep with my mouth open at times. lol

Meg—How you doing? You’re almost at the end of your first trimester! That’s great. I cant wait to get there. I think I’ll feel more comfortable then.

Patie—Sorry to hear about the cramps. I was put on BCP to regulate period so we could figure out when AF was coming to visit and also when to start stimms. I was checked for cysts before starting BCP and afterwards. I guess it couldn’t hurt. Better safe than sorry.

Vicky—Happy anniversary!! I’ll be doing my AF jig for you.

Coco—How are you? How is the Lupron treating you? Hope your head is feeling better.

Jenn—Can’t wait to hear all about the party.

Fee—I can just imagining you racing thru the airport. Your hubby sounds like mine. He can’t do anything without me. Poor thing. I’m wondering how he got so far without me. lol How are you feeling? Any symptoms yet?

Sassy—Sorry about you E2 levels. Bloated is usually a good sign. Although it absolutely sucks. Good Luck on your next scan! Keep us posted. The PM rants are awesome. Then we can come back in here and discuss and the snoopers will be totally lost.

Angie—I could not stop laughing about your sticky flip flops. I actually envisioned you stuck to the floor in mid stride. I definitely think that needs to be added to our musical. Please keep us posted on next scan.

Mel—Hope your toe gets better. Man, that baby toe can’t catch a break. Now a blister. Geesh. Will change the ticker sooner or later. This one has brought me so much luck. Afraid to change it. Maybe I will after the first scan.

Ha…so much for us waiting to tell people. Like I said before, nothing ever goes the way you want it to. lol DH and I went to dinner last night and we discussed when to tell people. We decided after first u/s which is next week. But then we kept going back and forth about keeping it a secret from our families and how we wanted them to share in our happiness. Finally we decided that if it came up we would tell them. So today we are at his parent’s house and we just spilled the beans. WE SUCK!! We can not keep a secret. His brother and sister were there. Everyone is so excited. Then we went to another family member’s house to tell them. It makes it feel more real when people know. I also went to my mom’s house today and told her. She could not stop crying. She made me want to cry. None of our friends know but I’m sure they will be next week, because obviously we can’t hold it. My mouth is like my bladder…can’t hold a damn thing!

I’ve been having twinges and pulling all week off and on. I’m hoping that’s a good thing (especially since people now know). It would be nice if twins were in there but won’t know for a while. I keep calling then the twins anyway.

Off to bed I go. I’ve been having a difficult time staying awake.

Love and baby dust to all.

Hey Sassy - you are well on your way - most normal people only stim for 8 to 12 days I think - I am the freak here.

In fact, may be you and the sistas can help me? Girls what does it actually feel like when you have 8 or 12 follies in total and they are about 10 or 12mm in total so far. Do you actually feel anything? Should I be feeling anything?

What is it like for you so far Sassy? How many do you have?

I really have nothing to compare it to as remember, last time I had my 20 plus follies and it really felt like 2 swinging water balloons in side by the end.

I have a few little twinges down there but that's all - the worst is sore and itchy boobs - driving me crazy.

Patie - I guess the BCP can't hurt. My take is that our cycles are so messed up by all this can't expect AF to be very normal now. Mine have mainly been very scant and hardly noticeable for as far as i can remember now. What happens after AF - are you back in cycle then?

Fee - hope you are enjoying being home alone? Behave yourself now - no wild parties.

Wanna - when will you find out if you have twins?

HI to everyone else.

A list could be the way to go. We could all copy & paste as we go to so no-one has to all the work. I'll start the ball rolling :

Angie - record breaking stimmer (since 14/2) - inching my way to EC
Meggo - BFP sista no. 1 (natural) - due in ?
Fee - BFP sista no. 2 - due in ?
Wanna - BFP sista no. 3 - due in ?
Sassy - stimming

Hi ladies! Hope you are all having a good weekend. We just got back from a night out--my 30th birthday is Monday, so we met some friends out to celebrate. It was fun, as we finally broke down and told them we're pregnant...I thought about taking a note from Fee and waiting until somebody asked if I was fat or pg, but couldn't wait any longer!

Wanna--I think it's hilarious that you guys caved and told people. It really has a snowball effect, huh? Sorry about the jaw thing. I have a good friend who was shot point blank in the face 4 years ago (LONG STORY!) and he had surgery on his jaw this week---they put a metal plate in with screws! Needless to say, his mouth is wired shut and he's not a happy camper. Don't know why I felt the need to share that story with you. Hmmm.

Sassy--Great rant! What a mess. I can totally understand why you're upset. People like that (pretty much everyone in your story) really piss me off! I'm hoping your stimming goes well...

Angie--I had 11 eggs harvested and I was trying to remember how I felt. I just seem to recall slight discomfort and big bloated belly...but nothing too miserable. In fact I remember thinking it wasn't working because I really didn't feel that differently!

I have a little rant...a couple that we were out with tonight just adopted a new baby boy. They went through IUI 5 times unsuccessfully but were unwilling to try in vitro because she didn't want to gain weight or stop smoking (yep, that says a lot right there!!!!) Anyway, this baby they adopted is 2 weeks old and they were both at the bar tonight drinking (and by drinking I mean getting D-runk!) and smoking. With a 2 week baby at home!!!!!! My DH said he thinks they think the baby is a puppy...

Anyway, that disgusted me so I had to get it off my chest. As I told my DH, our child will probably end up to be a serial killer and theirs the President of the USA, so I suppose I should try to keep my judgmental mouth shut!

Hope you all have a great whatever it is there!

Hellooooooooooooooo,

Sassy....I responded to your PM by PM too just in case someone is lurking...... , but all I can say here is OMG!!!!!!!!

Meg......I cannot believe that couple!!!!, how did they even get to adopt a child with that behaviour!!, don't they do those very thorough screen processes, it looks like they missed a lot here......

Ange....I like your list idea, so we know where all the sistas are in their cycles and pregnancies....About your question. I had around that amount of follies, around 12 or so, I felt bloated and really full when I was close to EC, meaning when the folllies were close to 20mm each. So I guess you are ok....

Wanna....so you caved in and told everyone!!!! , I bet it was a great feeling!!, and it must have made you feel so relieved as well!!!!!

As for me, I have good news and bad news......the good news is that it looks like AF is here, I started spotting yesterday, so I would finally be starting my FET!!!!.......and the bad news is that AF is here, so my natural 2ww is over, but oh well, that would have been a nice miracle.....

Hi Ladies

Am anxiously waiting on the results of my third beta. Staring at the phone again like a psycho.

Now sass, I loved your rant it was pure gold. I PM'd you a reply but I'm not sure if it actually sent? Can you let me know?? Hope your follicles keep growing and pump out a few eggs. As far as the shirt goes, I like the syringe, it's edgy and cool. I'm gonna feel like a badass when I wear it. By the way how was the sizing? I'm pretty average size about five foot six and a half inches average weight??? what size would you recommend??

Patie, I don't know why I spoil DH, I can't help myself, it pisses me off and I think I have made him overly dependent on me (although he denies it). As far as using BCP goes, I have been using it to regulate things from word go because I was very irregular, I think it is a positive thing because then you don't have to wait around for AF to come etc...makes the timing a lot easier.

Vicky, congrats on your four year anniversary, you and your DH must have been together since very young??? You guys sound a bit like me and DH, we only got married two years ago but have been together since I was 17, long time!! Argentinian restuarant sounds GOOOOOD, I'm jealous.

Nickster why are you working the whole weekend??? Are we in the dark ages here???

Wanna sounds like the secret is well and truly out, must have been great to be able to finally tell people. We've only told a few, and DH had to tell his workplace because his annual leave got stuffed up with cancelling the holiday and making new arrangements....I'm still hanging on to my secret for deear life. I'm not finding it too hard because I am feeling grumpy and surly and don't want to speak to anyone anyway. Is that a symptom? Had big pains in left side on Friday and Saturday, thought it was ectopic but they resolved on Sunday, otherwise nothing much else to show for being prego apart from being a *****.

Angie, I got 17 eggs but during my scans they thought there were about 11 or 12. I really only blew up about three days prior to trigger. In fact I was so symptomless that I thought it wasn't working...10 to 12 is bang on a good number and I reckong you would be feeling heaps less than before with the OHSS....No wild parties for me....yet. There's still another week and a half of DH free zone, no telling what I'll get up to...

Mego, why was your mate shot in the face??? that is a bizarre story. When me and DH were in America we were very scared that someone would shoot us...and as for those d$ickheads at the bar, what a pair of morons...for so many reasons. I hate them. People like that never get shot in the face do they???

Where are you other ladies??? Mel, Coco, Jen, Attorney General (OK I know you're very busy dealing with punters everywhere but c'mon!)

I won't have time for much in the way of personals tonight.... will be able to do them in the am. But just a few things here real quick...

vicky: yep, what is up with the new ads? quite distracting!

Fee: i did get your pm. Thanks! I usually take a small-med shirt. The med i got is not bad, but will not be able to dry it in case it shrinks (it is fitted). So if you want it to be comfy with some room, you might want to order one size up. If you go to the main part of the website and look through the products... you can get to the sizing info for the hyp catalina shirt. Good luck on 3rd beta... will be looking for it in the am!

angie: i haven't found a real pattern to my pelvic discomfort. Some cycles I don't have much pain, and others i have much more... but it doesn't seem to be just based on # or size of follicles for me. Maybe added to by what i am eating? I am a bit uncomfortable now, but nothing bad. I had about 9-10 follicles, mostly 8-10mm on my last us. I have a repeat us tomorrow My E2 level at this point of last cycle was 4 times what it is this time. Strange considering i am using the same protocol with same doses. Anyway, will be looking for your us results tomorrow.

Thanks all you who pm'd me... i will be responding to you in the am. Thanks for listening to my rants and for your feedback. I will answer your questions. But yes... i live in bizarro world here

Hope you are all well.

Good luck Fee - does the waiting ever end? It appears not. Thanks to you girls for your symptons stories - I don't really have any either - will just have to wait and see tomorrow.

Yes I have a few questions for Meg too - but first HAPPY BIRTHDAY - 30th eh ?- ooh I remember the time when I was thirty - shared a party with 2 of my mates - we had a blast ! A mate's friend's band volunteered to play - such a great night - I'm reminiscing too much here.

My questions to Meg are also 1) why did you mate get shot ? and 2) which Aussie-ism did you use to impress your mates?

I think there is a bit of pattern here - me and DH were together 8 years before we got married. S/times I do stop and wonder why it took us so long to get to the stage of TTC and wonder if we had got our act together quicker would we be in this mess now? Who knows? I think it took us way too long to grow up but we can't change the past. Anyone else think like that? - only the 30 somethings need answer!

Feeling very philosophical today. I am preparing for a big event here at work which takes place next week - and I'm sure if I get to EC, it will be on that day but I refuse to stress - I have surrendered to the process.
