Deb and Kimberly

The first tweleve weeks can be filled with exhaustion, morning sickness, worry etc. Deb we did the same thing as you - looked at our scan photo's constantly:) I have a 3D scan photo that I will post on the photobucket site so you can see what to expect as your twins develop.

www.photobucket.com

I will confirm when I have uploaded them for you to view - sometime today.

Our twins in the early stages were about 5 days different in growth but they caught up by the 12th week and now are almost the same size. I remember being really worried about that.Their heartbeats at 19wks 4 days were 154 and 151.

Kimberly - one thing about housework - it will alwyas be there for you. Take the time to rest - you will feel better in the weeks to come :)

Take care girls and yes it is one step at a time.

Cheers

Di

Hey Girls ~ I was just wondering....is anyone else still on the progesterone shots? How long do most women stay on them? I feel like I will be on them forever. (Not complaining, just curious)

Hey Deb

I stopped all injections in week 12. No gradual stopping - clinic gave me a date and then I did not continue with injections.

The site can get sore and very itchy such a relief when they are over :)

Hi Girls,

Di - hello neighbour! I'm in Brissy, where are you? I am 23 weeks today, so not far ahead of you!

Deb - I used the progesterone pessaries and I was allowed to stop them at 12 weeks. This is because at 12 weeks the placenta's should be fully formed and producing progesterone on its own. Before then, its the corpus luteum (burst follicle that the egg was in) job.

Am very tired. Its been a long hot day.

Di! That was so great!!!! LOVED the 3d photos! We have to pay extra for that here but I would love to do it! CONGRATS!!!!

As far as the shots go, I stopped at nine weeks w/ the shots but am still on supposities. My Dr. stated that my body had taken over and would be just fine but I think everyone is different.

Take care ladies.I am very late for work!!!!!

Di ~ What beautiful photos!! Congratulations. Looks like things are going well.

When were you able to hear a heartbeat? I have a sono tomorrow but my doctor told us that 6 wks. is still early and we might not hear it yet.

Hi Girls

Yes, the 3D shots are great. We also had to pay extra for them but it was worth the $$. We got a DVD and a photo CD so now we can watch whenever we want :D The reason I posted them was for you to see what you can later expect but also to let people know it is available.

The heartbeat at the last scan was Boy - 154 and Girl 151.

I think that when we do fall pg after IVF everything is magnified. Our emotions, worry and all the twinges and pains send us into a panic. I know of many people like this.

I never take this pg for granted, our journey is not over yet. We are 22 week on Thursday but I know I will breath much easier when we hit the 28th week mark and the viability is very high.

Good luck girls and try to be relaxed.

Di~ I agree it is worth the extra money. After seeing yours, I really want to find out where to get it done here. Seems that every picture just makes it more real. You and Dh must be wearing out a video that great!!!

Ladies,

Quick Twin question. I am absolutely wiped out with morning sickness (all day long) and I'm so exhausted. On a twin pregnancy does the MS ever give up like it does on a single pregnancy?
I just don't feel up to anything at the moment. My poor hubby is doing all the cleaning, shopping, cooking.

DianeC,
Your 3D's are fabulous. Well worth the money I would say. How cool is it for the babies to be able to see them in a few years time.

Hi all

It seems that with twin pregnancies m/s can be either mild or non existence to severe. It can also be present up until the 16th week of pg.

Even with a sigleton baby you can have severe m/s. When I had my daughter (16years ago) I was quite ill up until I was 41/2 months pregnant! Much better this time round :D

Hang in there - things do get better after the first trimester.

Hi there!

I'm new to this thread. I've been on the Summer babies thread for quite a while, but I thought I'd join the double trouble group as well!

HI Xray em! Good to see you.

I was catching up on some of your latest posts. I'm glad things seem to be going well for you!

I'm 6 months today, and I can attest to the early morning sickness. I had it from week 6 til week 16, and I was nauseus ALL DAY LONG! But then, around 16 weeks, it just stopped! Yeah!

As for projestrone, I was stopped around 12 weeks. However, my specialist has me on a once a week shot to avoid preterm labor. It is a form of projestrone, and I'll take one cc a week until 36. It seems to be doing the trick so far!

I'm like xrayem and NOT finding out the sex of the bambinos. I love the element of surprise! Of course, our families are frustrated with me and DH, but hey, they didn't have to go through all of the infertility stuff like we did, so they'll just have to deal, right?

I look forward to getting to know all of you! I hope to be carrying these two as close to full term as possible. PMA!
