Hello to all of you. I received my positive HPT just days ago. This is my third try. I had a fresh cycle in the past and FET. I got pregnant with both and lost them both to m/c. I have my bloodtest this coming Tuesday. I am very nervous about the u/s. I have two healthy biological children and never a problem with m/c up until IVF. I am excited and nervous all at the same time. Congrats to all of you that have gotten your BFP!!

Welcome NaeNae,
First of let me say…CONGRATULATIONS on your pregnancy!! Isn’t it great to hear that. Let me say it again..CONGRATULATIONS!! Of course you can join us. I love your story. Makes me believe miracles really do happen. You have some little fighter on your hands. I had to giggle about everything going on between you and DH on Valentines day. lol But at least you can still tell people that your baby (or babies) were conceived on Valentines day. 203 is a great beta number! Have you had another one done? I had to almost beg my doctor to take another one. lol I’m right behind you. My first ultra sound is on the 16th and I’m done on the 9th of November.

HI Tammy!! Welcome!! And CONGRATULATIONS…again..CONGRATULATIONS on your pregnancy. Don’t think or talk about the evil m/c. I know you can’t help it. But don’t give any energy to it. It’s not going to happen this time. Stay positive! We are all going to carry our precious little ones to full term!

Hope everyone has a wonderful and healthy pregnancy.

HI,

I would like to join all you gals. I just started to read this board. I would like some people to talk to that is going through almost the same thing at the same time as me.

I had my first IVF/ICSI FEB 07. 3/1/06- BFP. transfered 2. By figuring out my due date on the computer I am due 11/7/07. I am almost 6 weeks pregant. I have my first u/s 3/22

Just wondering and want to compare some symptoms. I get worried because I don't always have the symptoms, or some days I feel fine. Some days I am really not nauseated at all. Does any one else have that?

I am more tired then usual, more in the PM, I get nauseated at times, not as bad anymore. When I get hungry I need to like eat right now because I feel like I will pass out. Sometimes I munch and my stomach is still grawling. I know it is early, but my clothes don't fit, My stomach sticks out, I know it is early to show, but I swear my stomach looks like it. I know that my uterus isn't that big but, I look like it, so I think. I gained alot with the IVF, and now just am so bloated. I went shoping for new clothes, did get some maternity clothes. I know it is early but my mother in law insisted. But they are so comfortable, I might start to wear them. Anyone else feel like HUGE?

Just wondering if some other people have the same symptoms, or if I am just crazy.

Hi Jen,
Welcome and congratulations!!! I was just about to start a thread about early symptoms. Like you I am almost 6 weeks. I don’t have any nausea at all, thank God. Hope it stays that way. But when I do get hungry I need to get right away or I feel sick. In the past I could wait a while when hunger hits. Now once I feel hungry, I have to eat immediately. I am also tired a lot. Mostly in the afternoon, early evening. That is the worst part for me because I like to stay up late.

My stomach is also stuck out. I think I put on weight with the IVF. I believe it is way to early for me to be showing buy my stomach has already started to poke out. I was in the closet this morning for about half an hour trying to figure out what to wear.

Also, I have this pulling sensation once in a while. Do you have that? Or does anyone else experience that?

yeah, I get a pulling sensation, and sometimes a cramp, different from AF. It only last a bout 2 sec then goes away. I figured it is just my uterus growing. I hope that is all it is. I can't wait until my first u/s 3/22, I want to know how many, I am hoping for 2, then it would explain my big tummy. I swear I can feel my uterus already, just a little above my pelvic bone. It is now hard there, where before it wasn't. My husband felt it too. I know they say it isn't possible, but I swear I can. It is small, but I can just feel it, it is a hard wall almost and it is getting bigger. Weird huh. Anyone else feel this?

Hey girls sorry it has been a few days since I last posted, I am still doing good gong 2morrow for US and am nervous and excited.
I too am having the same feelings. No morning sickness, I read that sometimes it doesn't start until about 7 weeks. So we may still get it.I eat like 2 grown men, and I have no pants that fit. I read in a book that if you are slim that it is possible for you to start to show this early. Some of what is there is just bloating, but feels good to look down and see a baby belly huh :D :D , I do have days that I don't feel anything at all, I did some research on that and it is normal!!! So don't panic!!! I do have the pulling and cramps but not too bad though.
I did gain a littl bloat from IVF but lost most of it before transfer, so dont know why I got the big belly, I oly had one put back so only 4% chance of twins, I think it cause of all the food, this is gonna be a "Fat Tuffy" baby lol  I guess we are all right on track because we are all having about the same symptoms So I will post after scan and let ya know how it goes!
I am really happy to see all the new ladies here. It is really neat to be having our babies within days of each other!!!
Oh Yeah you can go to americanbaby.com and look at the pregnant belly and it will show you month by month how you could look and so far I am right on track even with the pooch!!
go check out the website it is really neat.
Another one is babycenter.com
Have a great day ladies I will talk to you later!!!

Hi Ladies! I was hoping I could join your group. I got my BFP :D today...and we are ecstatic!!!! My HCG level was a little low (76)...so I was wondering what your first results were? I go back for another pregnancy test Friday. They want my HCG level to be at 300...at least!!! My suspected due date is November 14. I don't think it has completely sunk in yet...I am on Cloud 9!!!

Welcome NaeNae, Tammy, Jenhope and Jen779 and congrats on your BFP's!!

Mom... I can't wait to hear about your scan tomorrow. I am counting down the days til mine (3/17)

Jen779....not sure how many days passed your transfer you are, but I was 7dpt5dt and my 1st beta was 16. My second beta at 10dpt5dt was 159 and 14dpt5dt was 614. Always thought mine weren't too high, but Dr. said as long as they are doubling I shouldn't be concerned. Still won't breathe easy til I see that little bean on the screen.

Jenhope/Wanna and Mom...I'm so glad you all said you're belly feels big. I thought I was nuts. I got on the scale this am and have lost 5lbs, but all my pants are so tight in my belly! I'm deciding if I should just buy the next size or go for the maternity clothes. How lucky are we...baby doll tops are in for Spring. I could never get away with wearing those if I wasn't pregnant, so we'll be styling with our baby bumps and baby doll tops. I'm guessing the bloat is from all the IVF drugs and the fact that I'm still on prog. shots and suppositories. I also get so tired late afternoon and want to put my head down on my desk and take a nap. I also get intense hunger, not a gradual hunger and definitely feel better when I eat. No nauseau yet, thank god. I also get the pulling feeling. My sister said it's the ligaments stretching.

I'm so happy we have eachother to check in with and see if what we're feeling is 'normal'

hugs,
Ange

Ange—I swear it’s as if you just described me when you typed your post. lol Everything you just said is exactly what I am feeling. Haven’t gained a pound but have the protruding belly. Have hunger pains like you wouldn’t believe. They are intense and when these kids get hungry they have to eat pronto or there will be hell to pay…mommy feeling sick. I too was trying to decide if I should purchase maternity clothes. I want to say it’s way to early for that but I think our bodies are telling us something totally different. I can’t wait to wear the baby doll tops. It’s going to be so fun to be able to wear cute clothes in the Spring and Summer. Like you, I am so glad we have each other to bounce questions and feeling off of. I feel so much better knowing that I am not the only one with these feelings. I can’t help but worry but talking to you ladies puts me more at ease. Lol

Jen—Welcome. I just let you a message on the February thread. I am so happy for you sweetie! Makes me feel good that you have the same result as me!! Being that we have the same history and all. Congrats again babe! I’m so excited for you!! BTW, how many did you transfer? My first HCG was 167. But I think that may have something to do with the fact that I put two little ones back. My HCG level jumped to 3000 in less than a week. Don’t focus on the number sweetie. As long as they are doubling that is all that matters. Relax and don’t stress. Your little one(s) need their mommy to be as calm as can be.

Mominwaiting—How are you? I am excited for you. I can’t wait for my u/s. I wish mine were tomorrow. Please keep us posted and let us know how it goes. Good Luck!! My pulling and cramps are bad at times but they don’t stay long…thank God. But the other day, I sneeze and BOY did it hurt. OUCH!! When I start to feel the pulling and cramps I just try to relax and sit down or lay down until it passes. Unfortunately I do not have luxury at work. I spoke to a good friend who is on her fourth baby and she is a doctor. I was telling her about the pulling and she just giggled, then she said, girl you are going to feel all sorts of different things. She said it’s only the beginning.

Jenhope---I haven’t even tried to feel my uterus. All I can feel is this basketball also known as my tummy. It’s huge and hard. I have no idea where my uterus is so wouldn’t know what to feel if I tried. lol But I do feel a pulling and a contracting feeling in what I think might be my uterus. Wow, that’s really sad, huh?

I’m so glad to hear that we are all having similar symptoms. Nice to know that we are normal, huh? Hope everyone has a wonderful night/morning depending on where you are. I’m about to go raid the fridge since the hunger pains just hit.

Talk to you ladies tomorrow.

Love, Hugs and health baby dust to all.

Hi everyone -

Yup, muffin top bellies must be a common theme amongst us. My husband keeps giving me a hard time, saying 'you CAN'T be showing already'!! I'm putting mine down to poor muscle tone (never did really get it back) from my first little boy, born 7 months ago. Friends lent me loads of maternity wear last time - and they are all pregnant right now. I even lent out the few bits that I had bought as I really didn't think I'd be needing them so soon. Looks like I'll be scouring the shops for some comfortable stuff pretty soon!!

I'm feeling nauseous mildly nearly all the time, but my first pregnancy was very different - didn't gat a single symptom until week 8 and then got the whole lot, badly, until week 18. Totally sympathise with wanting some symptoms so that you know it's all still OK in there, but some 'lucky' girls never get any. A friend of mine due in May hasn't had a single symptom, apart from no AF... go figure! I'm sure all your little 'beanies' are loving it where they are - so don't go wishing nausea on yourselves, especially if you are working somewhere where you can't race to the loo!

Take care all,
Caroline

Anyone else have a hunch about which gender their pip/s will turn out as? I had no idea with my first, but I've got a really strong feeling that this one is a girl... probably a boy then!

It is nice to have people who know what you're talking about to talk to. I called my RE and insisted that I get another beta test. I got it back today and it was 5317!! That's not a bad jump, since 9 days ago I was 203. My u/s is 3/21.

I too have no pants that fit. I'm so glad to hear you guys are going throught the same thing. I was starting to think it was all in my head. I have days that I don't feel anything, then I have days that I have every symptom in the book. Then I end up worrying when the symptoms go away.lol

Who else is on the POI shots? They are absolutely killing me. I only hurt when I sit, or walk, or lay down. I am doing every tip I can find on the internet, but I am so sore the next day, I can barely move. It seems to be getting worse. I am quite thin, and I am wondering if I am just running out of good places, and everything is filled with scar tissue. Is anyone else going through this?

WANNA-Thanks for the warm welcome.

JENHOPE- I have that same pulling sensation that you have. I have also noticed that my stomach muscles feels like they are almost pulled and sore when I flex them. When I sit up in bed in the morning, I feel like I pull something.

MOMINWAITING-Thanks for the tip on that neat website. It really is cool. I'm so excited to hear how your ultrasound goes tomorrow. Good Luck.

CARBEV-I really hope and think that I am having a girl. Maybe it is wishful thinking. I already have 2 boys that are 7 and 8 years old from a previous marriage. I just think that in our situation, where we only had 12 sperm to work with, they had to all be girls. I don't think the boy spermies were tough enough to make it.

ANGE- I like your idea about the baby doll tops. I thinks I might go with some of the babydoll summer dresses. I definitely don't look forward to the maternity clothes. I'm going to stick with my jeans, unbuttoned, with a rubberband extender for as long as possible.lol

Take Care Everyone,

NaeNae—I thought that was just me that felt that pulled sensation when I get out of bed in the morning. The first thing I do when I wake up is stretch while laying in the bed. Lately, it hurts when I stretch, like I have a pulled muscle in my tummy. My pants don’t fit either. It’s kind of uncomfortable to tell you the truth. Please explain the rubber band extender. How does it work? I’m envisioning it but I want to make sure. lol I might need to invest in that. Wow, great beta! Could you possibly be having twins? I’m not on the POI shots. I have the pleasure of being unpleasantly acquainted with progesterone suppositories three times a day.

Carbev—I have no idea what I am having. But I would like a boy and a girl. I’m just going to assume I’m having twins. lol My husband wants two boys.  One of my good friends told me she had a dream that I was having a girl. That would be nice. At this point, I’ll take whatever God gives me. I just want the babies to be healthy. Truth be told, I already have the girls name picked out.

Mominwaiting—Thanks for the websites. Can’t wait to hear about your scan today.

Does anyone else have the heavy boob sensation? When I wake up in the middle of the night to go to the bathroom (which is about 4am every morning), my boobs feel like weights. But then when I go back to sleep and wake up a little later, the feeling is gone. Anyone else feeling that? Also, this might be TMI…but my nipples feel really weird. I can’t even describe it. It’s almost like tingly but not really.

Ok, I am glad I am not the only one having these kind of symptoms. As for how I can feel my uterus, I work in the medical field, so I can feel where it is. I swear it is bigger, unless it is just my stomach muscles getting tighter down there, but I don't think so. I have one more week to wait for my u/s, I want to know how many. You know I think in the beginning I was really nauseated, but now when I think about it I think it is from when I started the PIO injections, because it is a side effect. So that made me feel better, because I am not so nauseated now. I can't wait until I really start to show, because then I will not just feel fat, and bloated, and crapy. And then I have a reason to start to wear maternity clothes. oh, I love the baby doll tops, they are so comfortable, and fit good. I just have to find some that I really like. Well have to run. Take care everyone.
