Steph, Anna- best of luck at EC today! 2 more weeks! very exciting!

Yarnista- congrats on the successful EC- grow embies grow!

short post for me- the more I'm on here the more I htink about 3 more days, so it's actaully better if I'm not on here as much and concentrate on work or other things. friday can't come soon enough! either way- if it's a BFN then I think - right now- I'll be ok with it and be able to move on and at least stop talking about IVF all the time and look forward to our 2 other tries, and of course if it's a BFP then we'll have something to look forward to- it's so hard being in limbo because don't want to get hopes up too much, but hard not to be thinking about future too.... no symptoms- no spotting, my boobs still hurt- but of course I don't know if it's just from the PIO shots. I don't know what being pregnant feels like obviously and even if I did, I don't know ifI would be able to tell if it was pregnancy or just all this med! 3 more days....

yarnista -congrats on the number of eggs thats a real good amount, hope they all fert for you.

ref your number of follies to number of eggs retrieved. not every follicle contains an egg unfortunately.

but 20 is a good number chick.

Hi everyone- I've been in hiding, but watching with interest - Kandice I just had to reply to your post I am 100% with you - my test day is Saturday and this is the hardest part isn't it?
Like you, I know I'll be ok whatever the result, but I'm in danger of getting arrested as I keep walking around rubbing my tummy in public and saying out loud that I'm pregnant!
The only good thing about all of of this is how close it has brought DH and I -
Congratulations to everyone on getting so far , welcome to Mama and Yarnista- if you need a good book to read while this is going on , pick up any Paulo Coelho book - I find him a brilliant author and each story is really uplifting

Welcome Mama! You'll find this thread very useful and loads of support! So you have 16 days to ET...are you stimming at the moment? It's my first attempt too with ICSI at the stage of stimming.

Nimble...glad to hear lining is nice and skinny....so have you girls had your first injection?

Katrina..just noticed on the list you were due for ET yest..did you? How did it go?

As for me...i went to clinic for day 7 scan on monday...they said i have 14 follies...but all of them are very small b/w 9-12mm i think the lowest they will accept for ec is 17mm. They also said this scan was a bit early and they doubled my dose to 300 for two days, i go back tomorrow for another scan...i sooooooo hope they have grown...i was feeling quite positive on monday, but this morning i got up and felt a bit empty

...i really hope they are growing..i feel slightly bloated, but not uncomfortable...not sure what is normal but alot of other girls i've read about have mentioned they feel extremely bloated at this stage...i'm on day 8 of injections. Any one with any info/reassurance?

Hey ladies,
Just got a call from the embryologist, we have 15 embies growing and the ET will be Saturday. Anyone have opinions about day 5 transfers, from what little I have read it looks like the chances are better for us. Hope all of you are doing well, any ideas when the 2ww comes to help fill in the time so I'm not obsessing?

Ouch ouch ouch is all I can say – I have officially become a pin cushion and started my stimms tonight !!

Sonya hey, not long to go before you join us crazy chicks on the stimming drugs eh!! Know what you mean about being exhausted – it has hit me in the last few days.

Sha – day 2 for you girl, how is it going? Unfortunately no pen, just good old plain needles and 3 of them !!

You’re a fitness girl – are you still gyming at the moment? I went last night but my acu said that I shouldn’t go (based on the Zita West book) as the blood is needed in my womb however kinda of thinking that as I’ve only just started stimming it wouldn’t hurt for another for days – so went running tonight and I feel so much more awake!

Hi Karia – doing a little jig for you to bring on AF – feels like we’ve all had problems with her this month !!

Yarnista – way to go with 15 embies that really good – hopefully you will get to freeze some for brothers and sisters !!

Jill – how did your baseline scan go, are you on your way ?? Has the witch shown up yet for you??

Janice – nice to see you – being following yr progress on the jan thread – so pleased that you have some dates – now you have something to look forward to.

Kandice – so sorry that time is dragging for you but you don’t have long to go. It is so hard to tell with symptoms, everyone has them so different…but praying hard and sending loads of sticky baby dust to you for a BFP on Friday.

Holly – wooohoooo another one on the nutty train – great news that you’ve started today.

– I replied to yr post on the other thread yesterday and was going to suggest to come over here tonight and here you are. It does sound like you are stimming as your dates are virtually the same as mine. Ask as many questions as you like as we have all been where you are now and personally I found out so much more from this site than I did with my clinic. No question is a silly question and there is normally someone who will be able to help here.

I’ve done one cycle of IVF before however this is also our first cycle of ICSI.

Bridget Jones – nice to see you back – wondered where you had got to ! Not long to go for you either – praying hard for that BFP for you.

Nerms – hey don’t feel down – my follies took a while to grow the first time round and they also increased my drugs and they flourished at the last hurdle!!. Grow follies grow!!

Steph/Anna - hope EC went well for you both today - thinking of you.

Katrina1 - did you have ET today ?? If so, hope it went well.

Hello girls!!!!!!!!!!!...........no time for personals now, will catch up later, but wanted to update you on what's going on....
Went to the clinic today, since AF arrived yesterday finally!!!!!. I had my baseline scan and bw today, and everything was great!!.
So this is my schedule:
Today- Start BCP's
03/19 - Saline Ultrasound
04/05- Scan and bw to start estrogen patches
The estimated ET date is 04/24.....

I am sooooooooooo excited!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hi there ladies

Yarnista - great number of embies you have there, but like I explained for Kandice the other day, you're already in your 2ww. Concider your Egg Retrieval as your OV day, so you're on the same amount of days post ER as you would your natural Ov cycle day, so that's why IVF'ers can test a week later. Some of that natural fertilisation in your 1ww the process that's is being done manually and dpER is goin by. By the time ET time comes, we're already or going to be nearly at the middle of the 1ww or nearly into the 2ww when it's testing time.

Nic and Stephanie - How are you holding up? Hope you're doing ok, been thinking about you guys. Nic - I can totally relate to your episode with the water works. I felt so sad and down and not at all happy yesterday and I just cried and cried. Now I can honestly say I know what all the PMS or PMT fuss is all about, as mood swings is one thing I never get around AF time. Headaches or cramps yes, but never a wimpering wreck that's crying for no reason

. And today, I've been so snappy and pee'd off, I'm like what the hecks all that abaout

. I'm sure glad I don't get like that on normal circumstances. Good luck for when AF shows up Stephanie

A HUGE thank you to all the ladies doing there AF jigs for me, as it seem to do the trick

. I was hoping that my body would stay as good as she has been over the past 8-9 months and I had another good cycle length. I was hoping she's be on time and I'd have AF tomorrow on CD30, but low and behold she should up, just as I'm about to leave out for work and I had head back upstairs. Today is CD1 and AF a day early yay, stupid thing is though, forwater reason my Fertility hospital doesn't class today as a CD one, as you have to have bleed a proper red bleed for a full 24hrs to be CD1. And to them CD1 is tomorrow, and therefore they won't do our baseline scan until the 1st Monday after a bleed. Anyways, I knew that would happen, as they'd got my Baseline scan already booked in a month ago for Next week Monday at 8.15am, so I'm ok with it. Just means I'll be CD7 in my books, and at least AF will have been over by the time they want to poking around in there.

Hi girls!

Just wanted to update...26 eggs retrieved today!!! I was so pleasantly surprised when I heard that I had to ask the nurse a few times since i thought I was dreaming. They are calling me tomorrow to see how many were mature and fertilized. I didn't expect that number at all and it even surprised my RE because of my high FSH. I am so hoping they're good quality. I had a good retrieval process all in all. Was out cold right after the u/s wand went it and now just a little crampy. Even went to acu today too and she put these things in my ear to stick until transfer since she won't be in town on Friday. Has anyone ever heard of this? They're like little gold dots on stickies. She said it helps support the uterus. Thanks for the well wishes girls!

Nerms, don't worry about your 9-12mm follies. You are still early and with the extra dose, they're definitely gonna sprout. My RE started me with a high dose (300) and noticed they were growing a bit fast and kept reducing the dose.

Welcome to the group Natalie! You will definitely get a lot of support here from everyone and get your questions answered. If you are just on Lupron right now, you are still downregging and then when you start the FSH injections, that's the stimming part.

Marcia, congrats on AF coming! My af also started with spotting for 2 days and I had to examine everytime I went to the bathroom to see if there's red for full flow to count as day 1....ah, the things we do....

Yarnista, good luck on your ET. My clinic only does 3day transfers but if given a choice and a good number of embies, I personally would choose the 5dt to give me more chances. Great number of embies!!!

Vicky, I'm so excited for you!!! You've got dates now and they will come fast, as you probably know. I can't believe I'm at this stage already.

Nimble, congrats on stimming. Grow those follies!! I wish I was a fitness person too...I was never a big gym person although I always thought about joining.

I know it's not the same!
