Menopur

DH and I just started IVF in February. I just started stims on Sunday. I am taking Gonal-F, Menopur and Lupron. Menopur is not like the other shots I have taken. It hurts Also it is causing me to bruise. Does anyone have suggestions on how to reduce the pain/bruising? I am currently taking shots in my leg.

Try icing the area before you give yourself the injection. I started doing this just recently on my 2nd IVF and it doesn't hurt as much.

I think if you inject the fluid too fast it can cause more pain. My husband gave me all of my shots in the leg and sometimes it really hurt and other times I hardly felt it. By the way, you have a very pretty name, Clarissa.

try the injections in your tummy. that seemed to work better for me.

Try giving the shots in your stomach. You generally have more fat in the abdomen area so it won't hurt as much. The leg is more muscular so that may hurt more. I did experience some bruising, but a cold pad helps reduce the burning sensation.
