GOT MY TWO LITTLE EMBIES BACK HOME

Had to wait in the hospital for an hour and a half as they were so busy, was a nightmare as i had to keep drinking water for the transfer then visiting the loo constantly as we didn't know what time we would be seen Anyway who cares, all that matters is we got this far when we thought it would be all over a few days ago and never get to an ET.

Just praying now i can have a bit more luck---i know, i'm asking for too much---but its our last go at ivf as my ovaries are not responding well to the drugs and this is the last go at having my own biological child.

COME ON EMBIES PLEASE IMPLANT.

Steph - Wow, thats great news. You will definately have to give some to me if this doesn't work

Well done Jen and Steph - excellent work this week for you both! So happy for you.

Well my scan looked good today and finally the follies look good. They had to do a blood test to check my estrogen levels as it has been such a wierd cycle. So now I am anxiously waiting that result and if all Ok should trigger tonight with EC on Sat - wish me luck - it has been a long time coming! Should hear in a couple of hours --- wait is agonising!

Well ladies after my record breaking 1 month and 1 day of stimming I have finally made to EC! Dr D is very happy with my estrogen level, I have 16 follies and it's trigger time tonight.

I am feeling very relieved and exhausted too -
I am half way up the IVF mountain ............... phew!

Hi Ange..that's fab news! I'm so glad to hear you've made it this far...so i guess you have prob triggered by now..will EC be on sat??

Steph...that is wonderful!! 10 embies is great...lets keep praying they are super dooper quality....excited for you!

Jen...two embies snuggling in.....i pray so hard that the 2ww passes by swiftly for you! and soon enough we hear BFP from your direction..got everything crossed for you!

Shantala...so pleased to hear from you...i was getting worried! I can just imagine 2ww driving you mad....best to keep busy busy busy!

As for me...well i went for scan and follies have grown-2 almost 15mm, but the majority are at mean of approx 11mm. I feel like i still have ages to go..talk about slow and steady!!! Anyway they are keeping me on the increased dose and will do another scan on friday to check growth..but EC may not be till next week- mon-weds. Anyone know of any foods/supplements i can take to help??? Trying not to get down...but sorry i just can't help it was up at 5am reading zita west for tips...seriously not a good thing to do!!

Ok girls better go...will be late for work otherwise.

hi Nerms - well slow and steady seems to have worked for me so all I can say is hang in there - those smaller ones will gain ground I am sure. Often they have a sudden growth spurt towards the end. Try and eat healthy,drinks lots of fluids and rest up - now I better go and lie down and follow my own advice!

nerms—Sounds like your follies are growing nicely. Hopefully they will continue to grow over the weekend and ER will be next week. I didn’t know there were any foods or supplements to help follies grow. Don’t get down ER will be here before you know it.

Hello to everyone else!

Had u/s today instead of tomorrow. They moved it up a day. Forgot to tell you ladies (sorry). But anyway, there were two sacks. Both look pretty empty to me. Not sure what I was looking at. We did however see what could have been a heartbeat in each one. Couldn’t really tell. It’s still very early. Have another appointment on Tuesday and prayfully we will see two heartbeats then. I’m just so excited that both sacs are in my uterus! Please say a prayer for me ladies, that by next Tuesday we have two strong heartbeats. I know some might think I’m crazy but I have already grown attached to both embreyos and I would love to have twins.

Hi girls

Wanna - Don't be down, thats good news you can see two sacs. As you say its early days so hang in there, two little heartbeats is what i predict. Try to relax, drink plenty of water and get pampered in preperation for the next 9 months

So have been lazing around all day and i swear i feel the pounds creeping on. Just had a very healthy tea and away to veg out again i have a slight pain in my left side---not panicing though, will just be my embies snuggling in----- praying thats true.

Thanks Jen--You are absolutely right! I'm going to stay positive. I know there will be two heart beats by Tuesday so I'm not going to worry.

On another note, I had the slight pain on my left side...and also on my right side. lol It's just your little ones attaching themselves to the walls. I love your outlook. Continue to stay positive. And don’t forget to sing:

Hey girls ~ I am having a really bad day....
I'm probably going to be a downer, but had my u/s and bloodwork today.
The follies had not grown much - still all under 10mm (i'm on day 5 of stims). The bloodwork came back with the estrogen really low at 83. On day 6 of my last cycle my estrogen was at 243. The nurse said if it's not in the 200's by Saturday scan, then we'll have to stop this cycle.

To top it off ~ i didn't want to share the bad news with my sisters or mom, because my little sis found out today she is having a boy...so everyone is celebrating her news. I just didn't feel like having everyone feel sorry for me, yet again... thank goodness I have you girls!


Anyway - maybe it will turn around by Saturday, but what are the chances...?

On a happy note, Great News Angie! Glad to hear you hung in there and now are going to finally collect those little eggies! The Easter Bunny will be coming early to your house!

Nerms - looks like you are coming along nicely as well. Good luck over the w/e and hopefully you'll be ready to go next week!

Wannababy- that's exciting that you could see the sacs. I'm sure all is great and you'll see your little heartbeats next week. I know after everything we go through we will still be walking on the eggshells the whole pregnancy. This just means so much!

And a Happy Birthday for next week. You will just have to do what you have to do re-party. It will be worth it in the end and they will understand when you get your BFP. Wannababyivf - I still think that it sounds good for you. They often scan early with us ivf ladies. If they saw heartbeats then that is very promising. Just hang in there for a little longer and I am sure that you will get the bestest news in the world

Reach - so sorry that you have had a bad day. How brave and strong of you to keep your feelings to yourself. Follies and levels can turn around a lot in the space of a few hours, let alone days. So hope that your levels pick up by Saturday. They must think that they will as they would not keep you going from yesterday

Shantala - hope that the 2ww is not too awful for you. Hope that you are staying +ve and away from HPTs

Nerms - sounds like your follies are doing well. Grow follies grow

Rachel - thank you for all your support. You have been a rock. How are you doing? See from your ticker that you are off to info evening re-egg share. Pleased that you have a way forward to investigate. How are you feeling about it?

Hugs to everyone else. Need to crash into bed as totally shattered after yesterday. Had a brilliant day yesterday. Drank coffee (have been off it for 10 months). Ate pastries and bacon sandwiches. Backed a winner and some placed horses too. Drank champagne - lots of champagne (after more than 10 months tea total). I am so pleased that I did not bother to go for the test as that and the call would have been such a downer for me. I forgot about it for most of the day as we had such good fun. Laughed more than I have done in ages. Helped me to take a break from being ivf person all the time.

So today, with massive hangover, I booked to see my gp to see whether she can arrange some of the tests for us to save £. Called our clinic about the process to get copies of our notes. Have consultants appointment set too. So can take two weeks more off and not feel bad about having an 'ivf' break.

Off to bed.

Hi Reach - sorry to hear you are having a bad day. Sometimes they just take a while to get growing - (look at me-1 month of stims!) -can they up your dosage?

I am sorry to hear you news - I totally get you about not wanting people to feel sorry for you but I guess they mean well. Look after yourself , eat healthy, rest up and I'm sure your follies will get a move on.

Carolyn - Great to hear from you and i'm so pleased you are feeling a better and ready to crack on with this ivf lark. Sounds like your day at the races did you a power of good.

Reach - Hang in there babe, a couple of days can make so much difference. Remember they thought my cycle would have to be stopped due to only having 3 follies, then i two days later i got 5. They told me it was likely i wouldn't get any eggs, then i got 3. Then 2 fertilized and i'm on the 2ww---miracles can happen
Must be so hard with your sister being pregnant---take a deep breath and smile

Thinking of Wanna, Jen and Steph at their appointments today.

Am going out for a meal tonight as its my mum's 60th, well it was her 60th last monday but i was in theatre having EC so were going out tonight.
