hope you had a much better scan result than I did and you got to see a heartbeat. sorry couldn't say much when I saw you but as you could tell, I was gutted - Gorgy couldn't see anything, not even an embryo - he said the sac was too far away from the probe but not sure if he was just saying that to make me feel better. being gorgy we didn't get much more out of him other than we have to go back next week for another scan. the nurses downstairs were really sweet about it and said it is early days yet but can't help feeling we should have seen something at this stage. even if the sac was far away. is this what happened to you last time round? beckym xxx

Oh Becky, I've been thinking of you today and looking out for yours and Rachel's posts. I'm so sorry that you couldn't see anything. Try not to be too down-hearted. Gorgy isn't the most communicative, but I don't think he ever says things to try to make you feel better, so please try to stay positive. I think you said you'd had symptoms, and that your line on the HPT had got stronger - hopefully its just that your embies have been slow coaches right from the start! Which day do you go back again next week? Much love Alison x

hi Alison thanks for thinking of me. I'm going back in on Monday as couldn't wait till Tuesday. Some of the girls on the other side also suggested contacting my local EPU for support so am going to do this and see what they have to say. I know that Jacky T was sent from a clinic to an EPU when the clinic couldn't see anything and the EPU picked the heartbeat up. just wished it had been Mr T this morning. beckym xxx

Becky, Didn't expect you to say anything, I just hope that I didn't invade your space at the wrong time, when you just needed to be together. I wanted to give you a hug though because I have walked down that street crying my eyes out and I know how bad it feels. On my last cycle, I looked through these boards and realised that the ARGC do very early scans, so it could be that it is just too early to see. Also, I think that they do have difficulty scanning certain people because of the shape of their womb. In all honesty, I can say that although in my case it was not to be, when I looked on these boards, I did come across other people who had gone back and been given good news. I waited a week before going back last time but I spoke to a women (also at the ARGC) in a similiar position who had been sent somewhere else for a scan on a more sensitive machine. I don't know if you could push for that. I know what you mean about Gorgy but it may help to know that when my scan was inconclusive last time, Mr T kept it really brief. I think the truth is that they really don't know and that waiting is the only thing that will bring some answers. Take care of yourself, you and DH, the waiting is tough, you just have to hang on to each other. Just to let you know, we did see a heartbeat but we are not out of the woods yet. I am going back for another IVIG drip tomorrow (so I assume that they have picked up on something in my blood to suggest that I need this) and a scan in another 2 weeks. hi Rachael - am so pleased you got to see a heartbeat. you deserve it. I hope that the drip thing is just Mr T being cautious. you know that the risk of m/c goes down to just 5% when they see a h/b so am sure this is the one for you. I am going to a local private EPU tomorrow morning and hopefully they will be able to give me some more news - maybe they have a more sensitive scanner. Whatever happens I'm glad I know your story and that even if this one doesn't work out, it is still possible for it to work out next time, if I have the strength to go through it all again that is, but with a break over Xmas maybe it will all seem a bit brighter in the New Year. best of luck for your drip tomorrow and for your next scan and it was good to get a hug from you today so please don't worry about that!! lots of love beckyxxxx

hi- just to say had the scan at the EPU this morning which was a lot more positive - have put details on the other side - what a relief!! hope your drip went ok and not too painful. Grace and Alison - thanks so much for checking in on me - you are both so kind. am going back Monday or Tuesday of next week for another ARGC scan but praying it won't be Gorgy. if I remember rightly he was the one who scanned me when my down-regging didn't work as well and was equally unhelpful!! he and I are jinxed. shall ask the girls if I can have Mr T instead. beckym xxx

Hi Becky, So glad to see that things look good after such a worrying time. We spent the whole day in London yesterday, so have only just managed to get back onto the board this morning. Am now going back for a scan & bt next Thurs, instead of the 8 weeks which they said on Tues, not sure why because it's not like they had any additional results to make that decision on, think it may just be that Mr T changed his mind! I am getting some funny pains at the moment, bit like period pains. Did you say not that long ago that you had something similar? Well best get back to putting my feet up and drinking gallons of water! Take Care, talk soon, love Rach XX
