I have just a positive vibe for our thread - first 3 2ww'rs are all BFP's, what a way to start !!

Mrs B - a line is a line !! So 'unofficially' Congratulations - you didn't give me time to start a thread for you but am so pleased for you

Steph - I've added to you to the 2ww - so next time its posted you shall see your name there.

Girls - I've had a play with the list and just sent it to Sonya for approval - hope you don't mind - thought it would be good to get those BFPs up at the top for the world to see. (Nicki hope you don't mind too since you did start the original list )

Nerms - see, told you that they would grow, just late starters

Sha - there is still time for them to grow, just take a look a Nerms - hers have just done a last minute spurt !! your weekend sounded fab, sometimes it is so nice to get away during the IVF period just to focus on something other than this. You came home just before the real cold weather settled in.

anyway, wish I could take my own advise - had first scan this morning and really disappointed. Despite being on super drugs dose, I've only got 5 however, they are all relatively good size 1x15mm, 2x14mm and 2x10mm and lining is also good at 7.9 and they need it at 8 so not far to go. I had similiar numbers on my 1st IVF although at this stage they weren't worth measuring so it is good news in that respect, but was hoping that I would have atleast 8!! Don't ask for much DH sent me a text later to say that it was quality not quantity which made me cry more. So another scan on wednesday - come guys GROW!!

Based on todays scan, looks like EC will still go ahead next Mon.

melly - this is a great place to come to for support.

Amanda - welcome back - wondered where you had got to. Wow you must have super follies down there - good luck wednesday.

Melly-Welcome!!! Don't have second thoughts...no time for it. Just think about holding that little baby in your arms. That is what I do. My 1st one was BFN and I am getting back on the horse. You can do it and it will all be worth it!!!!!

Catching up....
Ok it's been awhile since I have been on here!!
First CONGRATS to Kandice, I love how you kept your word to your DH but still kept us informed!!!
I had 5 pages of catching up to do and that alone gave me a HUGE headache but I couldn't resist I NEED to know what's going on with all my Message board friends!
Ok so Friday we met for the first time with the embryologists it went well, alot of information! she said being so young we shouldn't have any problems, she reccomeneded that we have a back up donor sperm and I dont like the idea of that at all, does that sound bad? She says they never use it but if we don't have it and can't get any good sperm we were doing all this for nothing! She wants us to bring in another sperm sample and test it again but our last count was 4 million and she said she has gotten women pregnant with 300,000 so it's not looking too bad! I also started follistim on Friday I can relate to feeling like a pin cushion , im also going for lab work everyday, follistim 2x a day and lupron in the am!! I got a bladder infection Sat which was horrible I didnt know what I was allowed to take for it so I had to sit in pain to wait for the oncall RN to call me back, feeling much better today but at the time it felt like one thing after another, I was tired all weekend!!! Sunday I went in for more lab work, they called me back and said my estrogen level was at 200!! which is good right?? well they told me only take follistim once a day until I see the Dr.
Today I went in for more lab work they havnt called with the results yet, I also had an ultra sound, I have 15 follicles on one side and 20 on the other, But i didnt know size or quality mattered at all until I started catching up on posts, my Dr didnt say anything about size , so that will be my question at tomorrow's ultrasound!!!

For the fitness girls, My clinic told me to stop as soon as I starting stimming they said they didnt want the folicciles getting twisted?? does that sound right? a big part of me wants to keep working out, but now that I have been so tired im kinda over it at the same time, but if it's not dangerous then maybe i will!!!

NERMS- What is the POm juice for?? anything that can help I want to try..


sokru8- It completly makes sense to me to be so tired but yet you cant sleep I feel like that since I have started this whole thing, I cant decide if it's the meds or the excitment of the whole thing, maybe both!!! How are you feeling from the stimming??

Hello everyone...i just did my trigger almost an hour ago!!! Can't believe it's all really happening!

BJ..CONGRATS!!!!!!!!!! Can't believe it...what a turn around! I'm not sure about the analysis..so sorry can't help there...but i'm really pleased for you!

Mrs B..how are you feeling? A huge unofficial congrats to you...not many days left to make it official!

Shantala...no pressure hunny! Keep positive and sending you lots of positive vibes! May the outcome be a strong BFP. Hugs to you!

Sha...listen matey...please don't worry....slow and steady...it is just so frustrationg because the exact same thing happened with me...i was started on low dose and it was doubled on day7, despite this for a further four days things grew but only 1mm a day on average (if that!), but over the weekend they seem to have really come round...i had tears of joy in my eyes already...this is only the beginning Keep positive and tell yourself it is just going to take a bit longer but slow and steady wins the race...don't get down...

Nimble...you're right you should listen to your own advice....please don't be down...i suspect it is a bit early to worry....grow follies grow...sending the follie fairy to them! Things sound better than last time and i think that is what you should focus on! And you DH is true...quality not quantity. Sending you lots of hugs and lots of PMA!

BJ, Sending you lots of prayers that those numbers keep on going up!

As for me, I went in for a blood draw today and they called to report that my estrogen levels were low. They want me to decrease my Lupron from 5 units to 2.5 units starting tomorrow. I am not sure how this will affect my cycle since I did not have this with my first IVF. If anyone has experienced this I would really appreciate knowing how it affects the cycle. Otherwise I will redo lab work on Wednesday when I have my first scan to check on the follies.

Hi girls,
It's been a long time. Can I come back in? Here is my update:

had ER on march 5th. only three eggs retrieved, only one was mature. icsi failed to fertilize the mature egg. on day two, the other two eggs had matured and they fertilized with rescue icsi. march 9th transfered two grade 2, slightly fragmented, 6 cell embies. last night, night before my beta, started bleeding and cramping. feeling sad this morning on two hour drive to the clinic for beta level. had follow up appointment at 2pm today with RE to discuss new plan. As I was pulling into the parking lot the nurse called me with my hcg results. it was BFP!!!!! I was like, what the ?????? I thought i had dear old AF. My level is only 63 and I am bleeding lightly with moderate cramping. I am not sure how to feel right now. these feel just like af cramps and bleeding. have to go for beta levels every two days until the numbers triple and then some.
has anyone ever experienced this before?
i am going to read up and catch up on all you girls right now, i just needed to vent and get some support from you ladies. thanks for listening.

Nerms, how sweet of you to say - and it's true, I'm SO HAPPY. So scared , but so happy. I'm starting to feel that maybe this time will will get to bring home a baby?!

Sha, the other ladies already said this but I also immediately thought of Nerms - the slow start will of course drive you crazy but there's no reason to give up hope as there can well be a great growth spurt ahead of you. But the impatience I understand so well, just hang in there honey!!!

Nimble, sorry that you were a bit disappointed with your scan results but your DH is so right - plus anything can still happen. I'm rooting for your little follies too! And good luck for the Wed scan.

The nurse gave me the results today over the phone, but has said that they need to send the blood away for a quantitative pregnancy test- can anybody tell me what this means please?

Bridget, a qualitative preg test is just positive/negative (checks for the presence of HCG), whereas a quantitative one will look at how much HCG is present. So that's normal procedure and I'm hoping you'll get a nice strong number!!!
