Hi girls

Shantala and Steph - Thanks for replying about the pessaries. Mine are Cyclogest progesterone PhEur 400mg. I usually have to take them right through until 4 days before test date, then if your not pregnant you usually bleed. However i find this too stressful and am continually worried when i go to the loo so i asked the Doc if i can take them right throught to the test date and she agreed. I feel much better about this and will finally get to my test date (usualy bleed 2-3 days before date)
You girls are so lucky not to wait for so long until you test, mine seems years away
I so hope we can all get lovely BFP's so we can have our Christmas babies

jen - i'm on the same ones....interesting that your clinic tells you to stop taking them 4 days before the test...that makes me feel better that mine ask you to stop on test day...anyway, sounds like its all roughly the same....when did you start taking yours?? they made me start mine on day of EC...

Hope that you are all having a nice weekend. Thought that I should stop by and see how you are all doing.

Bonnie - so sorry to read your news. It is hard to pick yourself up and feel like you can go again. Especially when you have lots of tries. I have been letting my hair down and not talking about it much. Guess that we all have different ways of coping. I hope that you find the courage to try again

Angie - I am thrilled that after all you went through that they were able to collect 13 little eggies. That is terrific. Hope that you have good numbers and then a good selection. Are you having 2 back home? Hope that you are looking after yourself well and that dh is taking good care of you

Jen1d - Am so excited that you have 2 back on board. Don't want to confuse things but I take the pessaries too. Just 1 per day when I go to bed. 400ml. I started them on the day after EC and then continue through until test day. Although even with them I have bled every time on D11. I know what you mean about being nice to just reach test day. You are going to do it this time hun

Shantala - not long for you now hun. Hope that you are bearing up ok. You seem to be in good spirits

Steph - more than 1/2 way there now. Hope that you are doing some nice things to take your mind of it if at all possible

Nerms and Reach - hope that stimmies are going ok. Sending the folly fairy to both of you to ensure that you get a good crop

Aunty - I have been abusing my body since I got it back!!! I am like what the hell let's give it a hard time as being good to it has not done me any good. Enjoyed champagne, coffee and chocolate. But need to get back into good habits as want to lose some weight for the next try. Have you decided what next for you?

Not much news from me. I have booked to see my gp a week on Thursday to see if she'll help us get some of the tests that we need done for free. She does not have to do this for us but I hope that she might have some sympathy given that we have paid already for three private cycles. Otherwise we will have to stump up more cash for them. We see consultant at our 'old' clinic the same day for our -ve review. Just interested to see whether he thinks that we should try again or whether we should look at donor eggs. We will also let him know that we plan to move on to a new clinic. Have found out how to get copies of my notes from medical records and should be able to get that in train so we have all our history for the new clinic. Feels like we have done all we can and now just having a chill out/laugh for 10 days before we have to think about it all again.

Take good care. I think of you every day even if I cannot come here each day.

Carolyn it's sooo good to read you again, im 100% behind you have your mad days, a bit of body abuse will do you so much good mentaly, i have to admit after my last BFN i even started smoking again drinking double shot coffee's and oh yeah chocolate....i have quit smoking again and the rest will follow, for us i cant seem to give up i think it would be too devestating so im trying to think of ways to raise the money im sure if i work hard enough i can do it....fingers crossed. you would think 3 times was enough but nooo LOL

Hi girls!

Well I'm only on day 3 of my 2ww and I'm already going crazy. And I don't even have to wait two weeks!! I just have to wait 9 days. I don't know how I will ever get through the next week. I'm already overanalyzing everything. Is it possible to already have food aversions this early?!? Because I feel like I do...or maybe I'm just making myself sick with worry

Anyway, enough about me...

Shantala- Good to read you again! I have been thinking of you as your test date grows closer. How have you been holding up?? I'm glad you are holding out until test day. And great news that DH has the day off. He will need it to helo you celebrate your BFP!

Carolyn- I'm glad you are taking some time to indulge a little before you get back on the ivf roller coaster. You more than earned it and hopefully when you go to the new clinic it will be with a renewed sense of hope.

Jen- There will be no bleeding for you for another nine months because you are going to get that BFP!! Christmas babies sound wonderful. I can't imagine a better gift!!

Angie- I'm so happy for you!! I know the past month was rough but I hope the end result will be well worth it. Have you got your fert report yet? Did I miss that?

AEJ- Glad that you had a great second scan. It really is amazing what all can happen in there in just a few short days!! 8-10 eggies would be fantastic! Hoping this week leading up to ER is nice and relaxing for you!

Boonie- I PMd you but just wanted to send you big (((HUGS))) again and let you know I'm thinking of you and DH.

Nerms- Hope you had a fabulous weekend. When is your next scan? Is EC definitely the 21st...right around the corner! Very exciting!!

Well I'm back to lay down. I've been taking this bed rest thing very seriously!!

Hello ladies - well, I am delighted to join you on the 2ww.

ET today for me - I think 9 out of 13 fertilised but they don't tend to dwell on that - instead they prefer to just tell you how many are good enough to freeze. So i had 1 X 4 cell grade 1 transferred and 3 will be frozen - I think they were grade 2's - to be honest I can't remember.

Anyway I was happy with 3 frosties as we still have 3 from last time - so I am hoping we can build some kind of family with 6 of 'em in waiting....fingers crossed no more EC for me as I reach the ripe old age of 38 tomorrow.

Phew! Relieved it's over - let the 2ww begin!

PS shantala - you are amazing to hold out from doing an HPT. I really admire you - I know wanna did that too and it worked for her and she got a strong BFP - may be that is the tactic to take.

Jen..you were so right....follies grew grew grew! I'm just so pleased! I have about nine that are b/w 20-23mm and a further 6-7 that are nearly 17mm, considering on friday we only had three nearing 17mm it feels like a real turn around! I'm taking my hcg shot tonight and EC is 21st!!! ET should be sat or monday! I can't wait to join the 2ww...even if it drives me potty!

Carolyn..i do hope GP can do something by way of contirbuting to costs...it just doesn't seem fair otherwise...all the best!

Angie...congrats on ET...you sound so excited!

Angie—I’m so happy for you. All that stimming was so worth it! That’s a great number of eggs. That’s wonderful. I’m so EXCITED!! Also, that’s great news about the house. I’m sure you will have a BFP! Good things happen in 3’s. Good Luck on the 2ww and have a happy birthday!

Pep—Glad to hear your ET went so well. Good Luck with your 2ww. Keep yourself really busy. Read a good book. Watch some good movies and sleep a lot to past the time. But most importantly, try and relax. I know that’s easier said then done.

Jen1d—It’s normal to think that way. I know I did. It’s only natural. As long as you are positive more than you are negative, that’s all that matters. You will get your bundle of joy. Don’t you worry about it. I’m sure everything will work out fine. BTW..I also had the slight twinges and pulls. I have to take the pessaries 3 times a day until I am 10 weeks.

boonie—Sorry to hear about your BFN. I know you are so disappointed. Don’t give up hope sweetie. We’ll be here if you need to talk.

REACH—Glad to hear your scan went better. Any news on your b/w? What’s the latest? Hope all is going well.

nerms—WOOOOOOOOOHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!! Grow follies grow!! Good job! Things can change so much in a matter of days. That’s absolutely wonderful. Sounds like you have some big fat juicy eggs. lol Those are nice sizes. I can’t wait to hear your fert report. Good Luck with EC.

Wow, so many people on their 2ww. Or soon to be on their 2ww. I can’t even keep up. I’m just waiting to hear the results. I’m so excited for all you wonderful ladies. I will be popping in to check on all of you. Oh yeah, I read someone mentioned that I didn’t take the HPT! Nope, I didn’t do it. I did in the 1st cycle and got a BFN. I thought I would try something different so I didn’t take it in the 2nd cycle and got a BFP. Not sure if it made a difference....Hey, you never know. Good Luck ladies no matter what you decide to do. I pray you all get BFP! I can’t wait until you are all in my boat. Then we can compare symptoms.

Nothing much here. Just waiting to see my little heartbeats tomorrow. Praying that I will see them tomorrow. Please say a prayer for my little ones. I need some strong heartbeats. A friend of mine said she didn’t see the heartbeat until about the 9th week. Geesh, not sure I can wait that long. It’s like the 2ww all over again. Trust me ladies, it never ends.

I’m having food aversion and slight queasiness. Not fun at all. I am so sleepy. I actually fell asleep at my desk this morning. Not a good look at all. Will check on you ladies later.

Shantala - I started the pessaries on the night of EC then as i asked the Doc, will take them until test day and pray i don't bleed but Carolyn has me worried now

Carolyn - Good to hear from you, think its a great idea to have a bit of a break and a chat with your Doc. What do you think about donar eggs and where would you go for them. I might have to think about that if this cycle does not work. Oh ye, you got me panicking about the pessaries. The Doc told me i wouldn't bleed when taking them and so will be calmer until the test date comes round but you bled???AAAAARRRHHHHHH

Wanna - Wow you take the pessaries for so long, strange how we are all different. Good luck for your scan tomorrow---2 little beats here we come

Steph - You sound a little bit stressed girl. After 3 failed ivf's and lots of overanalyzing believe me its best just to chill and pray that nature is taking its course. We have done our best and its down to the body now. No matter what we do now it just seems to be luck whether it implants or not. Now go get dh to pamper you

Am going back to work tomorrow for 3 days only. Will be taking it easy and have told my boss this People don't really understand thought, do they? Think its because we look fine but they don't know whats going on inside.
Feel fine so far, had small twinges last night for a couple of hours, then nothing

As for the HPT's-----STEP BACK AND PUT THEM IN THE CUPBOARD
They can give off lots of false reading (neg & pos) so wait until the test date, i know its hard

Jen1d - I am so sorry. Did not mean to panic you at all. That is just what happens with me. I just seem to bleed on D11 whatever happens before. Does not mean that it will happy to you at all. It is just my body which is useless. Donor eggs - hmmmm. Some days I think that I am ok about it and it is just a little bit of material to help me get started and that I will do all the hard work of carrying and nurturing. Other days I am just not sure how I will feel if people say the little one looks like me or does not look like me dh is not at all sure as yet. He wants it to be 'mine'. I have investigated IM clinic in Spain. I have dark hair and my acu rates the clinic there. Plus I have been reading about it on this board and another chat board. No wait list at all and I love Barcelona. Time is not on my side and the wait lists here just seem too long for us. Hope very much that you will never need to think about this at all.

Wanna - Afraid that I have heard nothing from momtojazzie. I hope that she is celebrating with her new husband. Hope that your scan goes really well tomorrow hun. Double trouble for you

Steph - As Jen says. Try to stay calm. I have analysed every twinge and it just makes you go stir crazy. Try to do some nice things with your dh and to take your mind off things if you possibly can

Bad day today. One of my closest friends is on ivf #6 with donor eggs from her sister. She was carrying twins and today found out that she is miscarrying. This is her second miscarriage after 4 fails with her own eggs. This is just so dam unfair. Don;t know whether I feel bad for her, for me or for all of us. Probably everything all together. Just brings back how hard this is on all of us. She deserves so much better.

Hey, don't worry about it, if its worked its worked, right? If i bleed then ????????? Will just have to wait

So donor eggs??? I feel exactly the same as you, thats why this time it NEEDS to work as its the last time i can do ivf and will have my own child---it terrifies me to think about it. The good thing for you is that you are still producing lots of eggs so have more time to try, which is great especially with someone with blocked tubes as the Doc told me the infections/fluid that can come from the tubes can cause problems with the eggs/ovaries etc. I just wish i had tried to conceive when i was much younger. I think i feel so frustrated as i have never had any infections/diseases/problem periods etc and the Docs think my tubes have probably been deteriorating since i was very young as they were so damaged and my eggs are poor for someone my age. The Doc keeps telling me that my chances with a donor will be higher and i'm YOUNG in ivf world but i can't help thinking it won't be mine and won't look like me. I know its the old nature versus nurture thing and if it will give me a child then great, thats what we want, but is it so selfish to want my own one. They also told me about going to Barcelona but i don't know anything about it and will cross that bridge when/if it comes. At least i know you are full of info and know where i should go I only hope they have blonde haired, blue eyed people over there too Is it right that the donor is kept anonomous over there whereas in Britain the child can search for the donor when they are 18yrs?
