Rebecca-Wow...I bet it would be hard since you are from England living in the US. Do you have any family here??? Where do you live?? You will not have to worry about this anyway because we are all getting pregnant this time and all else will not matter. We can do this!!! I am trying to find out what to eat and not to eat...I am very picky and a huge soda drinker. That will be my hardest thing to give up, but it will be worth it. Are you doing anything special this time???

Hi Everyone,
Hope all is well. Well pretty excited today :? but scared at the same time because my cycle is really on its way now i took my first sniff this morning. Is this called downregging? And what does downregging actually mean? How many days into it will i start to get any symtoms?
And can any one tell me what to expect?
Any info from you wise people would be great.
Thanks

Hi all,
I am supposed to do my mock and injection class on tues the 27th. And my nurse is mailing my protocol with more accurate dates, when I went Friday she wasnt in and another nurse just handed me the info. I read somewhere in the posts that we learn more here then at thr RE's office! It's true! I wouldn't know half this stuff if it wasnt for you all! And the RE's offices do tend to forget to tell us things, ugh....anyway...

I got a call from a pharmacy company in New Jersey out of the blue today. They told me they have my perscription and wanted some info from me??? I was clueless...needless to say the RE never told me they fax all the IVF meds to a specialty pharmacy that deals with infertility meds, just took me offguard. Luckily my Insurance covered them all and I only have to pay out of pocket the copays ofcourse, which is $215. Its all straight now, but I didnt' realize I would need all these meds and need to order them now, call me stupid . What I do know is that I started BCP today and my first Lupron shot is April 6th..well thats a start..day by day..LOL
These are my meds:
Lupron...RE said he is starting me on low dose
Ovidrel 250mcg.....Trigger shot
Bravelle.....FSH
Menopur....LH and FSH
Estrace 2mg....start evening of ER
Progesterone in Oil 1cc...evening of ER
Zithromax 1gm....Antibiotic night before ER
Childrens asprin....Start April 6th..not sure why, have to look that one up, but I have heard of it taken during IVF

Sorry so long and I work nightshift so I read and post in between sleep and food..haha

April

hello all,

I'm just back from my baseline scan and blood work. I was so nervous, heaven know's why it's not like I haven't done it all before. Anyway, all is looking ok, I'm suppressed and ready to start injections on Friday. This time they are starting me at a higher dose and keeping a much closer eye on me. They also told me that if the same pattern emerges as last time they will cancel the cycle early on and not keep me going as they did last time. So all in all, I'm feeling a little bit happier today but still petrified.

Stephanie, we have no family over here, it's just the two of us. It does make it tough but my parents are giving lots of support over the phone and we have some good friends here. I would love to be at home though as at least that would open up our options. This time around, I'm being very dedicated to a healthier diet - I've given up caffeine completely (tough for a diet coke addict), alcohol is off and I'm trying to cut down on sugar levels and increase veggie/fruit intake. I'm also trying to increase the amount of water I'm drinking. I've read a number of diets which tell you to cut out dairy but then there was this article on the BBC website telling you to up intake of full fat dairy products to help with ovulation and infertility...so I'm not sure what to think to be honest!

N77 - happy sniffing my dear, you're on your way. I haven't used teh nasal medication before so can't answer your questions but it seems like most of the UK based girls use that protocol so someone will be able to help you.

April - the list of drugs is really overwhelming isn't it but it's amazing how quickly you become an expert in using them all. Looks like you'll be starting your meds round about the same time I'm hoping to have ET. Good luck!

Everyone else - how are you doing?

Thinking of you all

Evening Ladies!

Rebecca - I'm glad the baseline went ok today. Good luck with this cycle - wishing all the very best. Bring on the egg food and grow follies grow!!!

Carrie - that's a good piece of advice - can you remind me of it again in about 2 weeks when I'm going crazy on the 2ww.

Smattison - it's good to have a plan - I'm keeping my fingers crossed that none of us will have to turn to our Plan B's!

Nat - happy sniffing! Sorry I can't help - I have never had to sniff! Down regging made me tired all the time and unfortunately for DH irritable!

April - you will soon be a human pin cushion! Good luck sweetie!

Sorry if I have missed anyone
Hugs to all

Has anybody had a go at doing egg share to cut down cost of IVF? if so what advice can you give me as this is a serious consideration if 1st cycle doesn't work.

Hope everybody had a good day today and that the sun shines tomorrow.

Well I am officially on the Crazy Train….I just got back from my Doc’s office. We did my baseline and U/S. My lining is nice and thin. It was 5; right on track and my ovaries are doing great. #1 has 7.3 volume and #2 has 14.2. They say one is usually bigger than the other. All my resting follies are resting nicely and no cyst. I start stimming tonight. They will call me later today and tell me how much of what to take.

Rebecca-Our Due date will be 12/23…LOL What a great Christmas present!!!

Hi Stpehanie,

Would that really be our due date?!! I hadn't thought that far a head - that would be an amazing Christmas present!!! Would be sooo nice to have a child this year - everytime we get to new years eve it gets painful that we are entering another year without a baby. I'm kind of blown away thinking about it!!

Sounds like you're doing well too, all teh best and let's work towards that Christmas present!!

Take care all

Hey ladies!

I'm getting nervous about my scan next week. Hoping it is cyst free as I'm not down-regging. Started work today. Thankfully had a short day and they already knwo I will take another week's "vacation" in a few weeks. I wonder what it is like taking a vaction that is not infertility or pregnancy related? It has been a while to say the least!

Stephanie - Big congrats on starting stimms!! Regarding Christmas, I thought I was mad as I am already looking forward to the holidays with my little girl ( I will love a boy just as much, but can't stop praying for my little girl) I am already envisioning Christmas with our baby. That's all we want for Christmas. I'm behind you and Rebecca probalby about a week for EC. But, my little girl came at 38 1/2 weeks last year. So, Christmas is not out of the question.

Rebecca - I totally agree about the New Year being a mental goal for having our babies. Chloe died New Year's Eve at 11:45 PM. We are really wanting our little girl on New Year's Day this year. I hope we all start the new year with our little babies healthy and happy.

Doddo - when is AF due? I'm awaiting her probably this week-end or early next week.

Carrie - I'm sorry I have no advice on egg sharing. Last go I only had 2 fertilize and am a poor responder. I saw last year on a post here that a woman had done it and found out her donee had got a BFP and she had a BFN. That was rough for her to reconcyle. But, I would think if you are ok with that possible outcome, it sounds like a great way to cut cost and is a beautiful and amazing gift to someone. Good luck

Charlie - how are you doing? you're are first up to the gates and we are all rooting for you to get the first Easter egg hatched :)

Karia - hope you are surviving the night sweats - those are the worst. :?

Babydust to all and lots of jiggies for us awaiting the mistress AF.
