Mrs B – CONGRATULATIONS, bet you can’t wait for your first scan, yet more waiting but it will all be worth it in the end.

Shantala – it’s nearly time for you honey, lots of PMA and sticky baby dust coming your way. Wishing you a strong BFP

Nerms – 16 eggies well done you, lets hope the all have a good old dance with DH spermies and make lots of little embies for you. Can’t wait to find out. Good luck honey.

Marcia – I have PCOS and quite a bad case to. none of my cycles have been the same, I have has one cycle cancelled, the rest I have always produced eggs some cycles were low numbers but my last we got 30 but only 16 fert, I had a slight case of OHSS. Not something I would like to have again. This cycle I’m on low dose stims, but my follies are not being very good to me and are not growing to well, so the clinic have up the dose, got a scan on Friday to see whats going on. I know quite a few friends that have PCOS and have gone on to have lovely healthy babies, so my advice to you chick is try not to read too much on the net and trust your clinic. (easy said than done I know) lots of PMA honey it will all be ok. your going to get that BFP you so deserve.

Rae – hello there honey how is our mum to be feeling today???
any bump showing yet.

Anie & Riles 7 nelly - big welcome to you both hope you enjoy your time on here with us all.

Pep – how you doing honey, sending you lots of sticky baby dust.

jill – how did your scan go???

Anna – how you feeling matey, lots of baby dust to you to.

Nimble – where are you honey, dying to find out how your scan went. thinking of you chick.

hi to all I have missed thinking of you.

Not a lot going on with me at the mo, still not feeling any sort of partying in my ovaries!!!!!!

I'll put the scarves up on my blog in a day or so you can see them. The staff there have been so nice and kind I wanted to do something. I'm not on bedrest by the doc but decided to stay at home away from work as my teaching job can be a little dangerous at times.
Sokru8 of course I would love to knit you a blankie for your BFP, what color are you thinking? On this knitting site called knitty.com, they have something called random acts of kindness so you could be my rak.
Is it Monday yet? :D :D :D

shantala wrote:Hey ladies

Marcia – great news about your scan and your superman!! Lol…I understand why you’re worrying and we all do it (thanks to the internet) but try and trust your clinic…I found that the most difficult in this process. I read up on everything and anything about our situation and IVF and then was constantly questioning my clinic in my head…having said that I don’t think its always a bad thing…could you maybe phone your clinic and voice your concerns and ask what the success rate is for PCOS women?? The other thing to remember is that statistics are such a funny thing. So don’t go by them too much. They may give you a success rate for PCOS women that you’re not happy with but then you could go into what is the success rate for women with PCOS who are 33 (the stats will include all ages) or even more, what is the success rate for women with PCOS who are 33 and have superman sperm (I should think not many of those)….so, see, your chances may be higher as the stats (most probably)…does that make sense?? Anyway, wow, your first investigation…you must be pleased!!

Hiya

Thanks for your words of support, and like I was telling Melly, we've already got an appointment to speak to our Andrology lab after our first Follicle scan next week. It'll help hearing what the actual lab that does all the preparations for IVF and SA tests have to say, as they're the experts. We already have all the procedure stats for the hospital in a book that they provide for all the patients, that we all know how they're procedures fare to everyone else in the UK, and all the success rates are give. That's how I know we're in the top catagory for a possitive retrieval, transfer and pregnancy everything's in our favour, but nothing mentioned about PCOS so they're going to talk to us about that next appt.

Yeah - one more little runner coming up from behind to make it a total of 6 follies - may not have many but boy are they getting big - largest at 20mm and they are really kicking today - hope its a sign to come when they become little embies :D Also had accu tonight to help make the eggs good grade 1's - she told me that I have to think that I will be pg, I will pg, I will pg and to have no neg thoughts so PMA PMA PMA and baby dust everywhere.... oh dear I'm loosing it! Last scan on Friday before the big EC Monday.....so excited could pee my pants! :D

My we have been busy today.... so where do I start...

Mrs B - official congratulations - I'm so pleased for you - take care of baby B!!  Image

Shantala
– sweetie – I have absolutely everything crossed for you tomorrow – I’m thinking of you and can’t wait to hear the good news of a BFP. I know you’re not likely to sleep tonight but try Image

Nerms – well done on 16 eggs – fingers crossed that you many embies tomorrow and that they are playing nicely with DH swimmers tonight! When are you having ET done??

Mama / Smattison - I've stalked you both on myspace so you should be getting a little invite to join my friends!! Its still new to me and still learning !!

Mama - What did the clinic say about freezing yr DH sperm? Great news on your active follies – its great that your clinic monitors you daily. I have absolutely no idea what my E2 levels are

With images and that you just need to copy the code normally begins with Image

Riles– welcome – glad you decided to pop in and join us.

Nelly – welcome too – see we missed most of your action however glued here to wait for your results – wishing you sticky baby dust.

Stephanie – way to go – welcome aboard the nutty train. When’s the first scan due?? Hey I’m glad I’m not the only one, I’ve already told my DH and mum that we are having a Christmas baby!! So cool eh

Sha – any partying activity going on or are they still chilling out? Sounds like you have similar follies to Nerms waiting till the last minute to grow – don’t they know how much they are putting their mama under stress – shall have words with them if I were you!

Jill how was your first scan today? Thinking of you when I had mine

Marcia – that’s great news about yr dh super sperm – no doubt he can’t get his head through the door now!! Sorry to hear the needles are hurting – are you not able to use your tummy – I find it really painless there and hardly get any bruising at all??

Rae- hows bump doing? Keep positive and not long to go before you’re over the first hurdle.

Sonya - poor you feeling shakey - hope it goes when DH gets home and gives you a big cuddle. First scan friday to - can't wait to hear how you're getting on.

Amanda - how did EC go - hope everything is ok

Finally - our 2ww'rs (Anna/Steph/Yarnista/Chvonne/Karma K) - I can feel positive vibes and see lots of BFP's - baby dust to all...... yep I have officially lost it

right off to bed...... night all
big hugs

Hello ladies...just a quick one for me tonight...Brother and sis-in-law are moving here to Texas today and they are driving from Nashville. I am trying to have dinner for them when they get here. Sis-in-law is 12 weeks prego...she needs a home cooked meal, they have been eating out since they closed on their house last Friday.

It is so good to here how good everyone is doing. As for the ones that aren't don't worry what doesn't kill us makes us stronger. I have had a down day, it started when I went to the Doc and DH did not make it. He said he would be there but he was a no show. He is a Doc in the same hospital where my doc is and he couldn't make it... I started crying and just left, as soon as I was driving off he called and said his meeting ran long. I was still upset but I need to cut him some slack, he does his best! The sad thing is that this is just the begining, my crying spells have started...AGAIN! Only 15 more day and I will be PREGO...I have to focus on that! Well I have to run...I will check in tomorrow!!!

Shantala-Good Luck tomorrow and I will be online all day waiting!!!

Shantala-Wow just looked at your myspace and you are beautiful…hubby is handsome also. You made a gorgeous bride. When did you get married?

Well I am officially on the Crazy Train….I just got back from my Doc’s office. We did my baseline and U/S. My lining is nice and thin. It was 5; right on track and my ovaries are doing great. #1 has 7.3 volume and #2 has 14.2. They say one is usually bigger than the other. All my resting follies are resting nicely and no cyst. I start stimming tonight. They will call me later today and tell me how much of what to take.

Marcia-Our Due date will be 12/23…LOL What a great Christmas present!!!

Hi babes

You're so sweet, and you sure made me smile. Unfortunately we've been let down by our fertility hospital once before which led to the cancellation or first IUI last year June, and there responce after all the let down and screw ups was a nurse sayin,'well you might as well go for the IVF becasue nothing else will work for you  '. I'd already told them beofre the IUI consult that I don't respond well to Menopur and that I wanted to try something else. They said how about clomid, I said you know how I feel about that drug, I did for 10 months on and off from 2003-2004 I'm not about to go backwards in treatment, and cetainly back on that medication. I told them that if I had Menopur again, it'll just be failed cycles like before. They said I could have Tamoxifen, and then Menopur, and low-and-behold, Tamoxifen was great, Menpour just stopped everything in it's tracks and the follies wouldn't grow. I said there was not point carry jabbing when I've had to go upto 225iu's of the stuff and had a crap cycle then, and they didn't even suggest anything else they just sent us home and said they'd call us.

The next day the receptionist said the doc had cancelled the IUI, we might as well go for IVF as nothing else worked.

So that's what we were left with, a M/C in May on a natural cycle, crap IUI cycle, and told to do IVF in July. Yet another M/C is proof we need the help, we're just praying that we've looked into everything that'll help us get there. Finding that IVF fertility hospital report that treats PCOS women convinced us we need to do some more digging to get the help we clearly need. I did however put my stats into this IVF calcuator I found on that site and our due date would be 18th Christmas my dad's birthday. And a Medium last year told be I'd have a Christmas baby. It's a lil spooky our baby beng due around then if it all works out, but could also be around 1st of Jan depending on when the transfer is and if I go to 40weeks or not. An early Birthday and Anniversary pressie or just having a baby born happy and cute would be totally amazing.

Keeping our fingers for you guys as well Image.

nerms wrote:Hi ladies...

Marcia...you know i had a scare about being diagnosed as pcos at the start of my treatment, this is largely the reason why they started me on a low dose, i read so much, sometimes you seek out information that confirms your anxieties, fuelling them further...i know that's what i did, for so long we've all been ttc that in many respects it feels unreal that it will ever happen for us. Have faith, and trust your doc, voice your concerns perhaps, but don't rely on one study to draw all your conclusions....i on the contrary have read that pcos women very successfully have babies. infact my cousin has a mod severe form and concieved naturally accidently twice!!! So please don't stress and stay positive!

Nerms
x
Thanks Nerms

Congrats on your eggies, your dream was to prepare you for what's to come. Many times I've had message dreams, and dreams that have come true, have done since I was a infant. Good luck for fertilisation Imageand transfer dayImage .

I know what you mean, but we've concieved naturally 5 times and lost them all due to the PCOS, I have the version that has the full whack, and I'm high risk for M/C, when I was told that, the only reaction I had was 'you don't say', at that time I'd only had 3  . June will be 9 years that we've been TTC and I'm giving this all I've got, as we're more than ready for our family to start. It's been over 10 years since our 1st loss, and it aches to know we could've had a 10 year old running and stropping about the place lol. I'm on a support group on another site and I know alot of women with PCOS and I know they've suffered just as I have and worse. Having to go through so many losses and cancelled cycles, and OHSS issues either with the Ov induction, IUI, so now hearing the views of their IVF stories as well and having to go thorugh a few before it worked, just lets us face the full extent of what's to come. I was hopeful until then, so that's when I looked into it further and found that article looking for success rates from this other Fertility clinic, and it made sence and explained why the girls I know have suffered.

I'm hoping I'll get some good news from the pregnancy side of my other forum, as I've asked for advise from other PCOS ladies that have had babies from IVF already. It's hard not to stress when you've had as much bad luck as we've had, but I'm trying. I ordered a subliminal relaxation tape from my acupunturist, and I asked for one for self confidence and positivity, as it's hard to think my body will every produce anything right after it failing on me alll these years. It's hard to focus on anything good when all you've had in your life is sadness and grief, it's all I've ever delt with, but I want something strong and hopeful to focus on right now.

I'm praying you get lots of little frosties and 2 or 3 nice fat embries to put back Image, here's some Image for you and hubby.

As for how many weeks along you are, doctors offices normally count from the day you started your period on your cd1 just like on a natural cycle. It's how they do it, so work it out and see what you come up with.

Thanks for that Sha, really sweet of you. You of all people can relate to where I'm coming from, but it's hard when I've had so many m/c's and so many non product cycles with Ov, or Ov properly. So thanks a lot for posting and I'll try to relax, I'm just worried my Fertiility hospital's gonna screw up again as our faith in them has been slightly dented since last year. We've been with then since 2002, and there isn' another Fertility hospital as good as ours in this part of the UK. We didn't change hospital as we did that already and came here as we weren't being treated properly at the other one. They'd give me clomid for 4-6 months and say come back when your done or if you get pregnant. So after knowing everyone there, we were scared to go anywhere else, and we're also lucky as this one is 15 mins from home.

All the best to you hun, I hope this is a lucky month for you gus as well Image.

Hiya,

Glad dyour hubby's home safe and sound, and you really should see a doc make sure you'll be ok. Look after yourself and it's a good idea not to drive.

As for the all the preggie news, I've never once been sad for hearing news like that. I don't know how it could make me sad really, it's another miracle that's been made in the world, and another couple getting their dream, it's a wonderful thing and makes me feel warm inside and it always has that affect on me. Good luck for your appt on Friday, my next one isn't until Tuesday.

Hi everyone, Just a quick post for me tonight as I am so tired and ready for bed. My scan today was a bit upseting as I only have one follie on each side that is atleast a 10. There are also 15-20 small follies on each side. I am hoping they grow soon. The good thing is my lining is at a 9. Hopefully when I go back on Friday there will be more follies growing. My estrogen level is still a bit low but it is getting better. I am concerned as to why I am not responding to the follie food this cycle when normally I respond to well and then they are concerned about my PCOS, but who knows. I will see what happens on friday.
Hope everyone's cycles are going well!!
Jill
