Period after IVF?

I am waiting for a BFP today, but was wondering if it is a BFN (I hope not!), am I supposed to get my period after I get off the progesterone and estrogen patches? My period has not come yet, but was told I wouldn't as long as I am taking the progesterone injections. I am not sure of what to expect if I test negtive today. Fingers crossed that I don't have to worry about it!!

I don't think I can really answer your question because I didn't take progesterone shots, I had the pessaries - but I got my AF before my test date whilst still taking them. So I'm hoping as you haven't got yours - it is good news for you! Keeping my fingers crossed for you

Same here! The shots may indeed have even more impact and delay AF whereas pessaries alone wouldn't.

Either way sweetie, there's only one way to know for sure, and it's the blood test. Don't trust any sign you're body is sending, positive or negative. It's the best rule you can follow. The signs are too misteading to read anything clear into them.
