Cramping after FET

Post by lross »

Hello

I had FET two days ago and today I'm feeling crampy, just like I do when AF is on its way. I haven't done anything strenuous, in fact I've been taking it extremely easy since the transfer. I've had one previous ET but I don't remember cramping like this. Is it just a normal after-effect of the FET or should I be worried?

Many thanks

I had my fet on Monday and I have been cramping since the day after. Today, I noticed that I haven't cramped the days that I did it felt mild then it would be intense as if AF would be here any second.

During my fresh cycle I also cramped after transfer but I don't remember how they felt.. It was a bfp cycle but ended up losing the baby.

It could be GOOD but I am sure some ladies had it and ended up with bfn... GL!!

I had lots of cramping after my FET in January. I was told that it was normal and could be from many things, but most likely the progesterone increase. Unfortunately the embryos did not stick, but I don't normally have cramps with my period, so I believe that it probably was the progesterone increase. Do you have any spotting?

Easier said than done, but try not to worry, b/c stress really does lessen your chance of sticky embryos. I have my next FET on 4/13 - hoping for better results this time.

Good Luck!

Hello,

I was told the same. I got my FET (4) 8 days ago and am crampy since. The nurse told me it is because of the progesterone and that I should not worry about it.
Good luck!

Thanks for your advice. I suppose I'm just looking for things to worry about so I'll try to stop doing that! The cramping's not so bad today anyway.

It's good to read others are in the same boat :?
I had my FET Thursday 22/3 and have had lower back/abdo since a couple of days before my transfer. Today it became more persistent and is just like the pre AF pain I get every month.
I started my progesterone pessaries two days before ET and just have to keep reminding myself of that. It's hard when it feels so much like AF coming.
It's easier though knowing others are experiencing the same thing!

Cramping is good

Hi

I had my FET on Friday 3/16 and on Tuesday night I had really bad cramping. knew it was implantation cramps right away because I had the same thing a couple of days after my ET two years ago which produced my wonderful twins girls   !!!!

Sure enough, when I went for my blood test on Tuesday 3/27 it was POSITIVE!!!

SO I SAY ----- CRAMPS ARE A GOOD SIGN (as long as you have no bleeding) My cramps slowly died down a couple of days after they started. After that, I had breast soreness, frequent urination and fatigue. All those symptoms can be attributed to the massive increase in HCG in your bloodstream.

Blessings for a BFP!

Hi,

Same here, lots of cramping... still after the pregnancy test that was positive. It still worries me but the nurse told me that it happens as the uterus stretches and takes its place.

All the best to you,
