April Cycle Buddies

Post by Hopeful2007 »

Hi Charlie, thanks so much for your progress thread for all April buddies!
:D

Just read Doddo's notes about how odd is it that we actually get anxious for our period to start so that we can start on FSH.. You made me laugh when I read it

I will probably be on the same dates as Rebecca & Smattison for EC, fingers crossed. April has always been a special month for DH and me.
We'll be celebrating our 7th wedding anniversary on 15th.

Good morning ladies-

Rebecca-Wheels off in the bedroom maybe but not in the garage…LOL

Welcome Anie-You have come to the right place. When do you have your EC??

Ella-Welcome to you too! You are in the right place.

Hopeful-Wow that makes 4 of us Me, Rebecca, JesJes and you!!! What fun!

Charlie-How are you feeling??? It will be here in no time!!! Baby Dust for you!

Well as for me, DH took me out for dinner and some romance, since it is really the last Saturday we can do anything for a few weeks. Trigger next Saturday! It was wonderful and romantic. When we got home I wanted some ice cream and he said “since I am such a wonderful “DH” I will make it for you”. I just started laughing uncontrollable…and he asked why, I told him that all the DH’s make comments about our lingo and it is so cute.

As for my state of mind and body I still feel like Sh$%^ but this to will pass. I really look prego and I like pretending. I find myself rubbing my belly and talking to the eggies growing…LOL I take Menopur in the AM and it sucks. It really stings and I can’t ever really get back to sleep. I have to take it at 7am everyday since DH gives me the shot and I have to do it before he goes to work and that really stinks for the weekends. Gotta run see you gals later!

Welcome Ella and Anie! Feel free to kick back and put your feet up here and vent all you want. I wish you the best in your cycles.

smattison - that's so nice that your DH took you out for dinner and away from this "ivf stuff" for awhile. Sometimes we all need to get a break from it and take a breather.

It's so beautiful here today. It's 85 degrees and sunny. It's race weekend here in town (Bristol Motor Speeway). There's like an additional 65k people (racefans) in town, on the highways, so not a good day to be on the road. I think I'll work on my report for a bit then take a walk at the park. I hope all of you gals have a nice Sunday!

hello,

Just thought I'd check in with an update. Went to the hospital this morning for my first scan since I started the injections. The scan showed absolutely no activity in one of my ovaries and 2 - 4 follicles all around the 8mm mark in my other one. Very scared I'm going down the same route as last time. It also took them 5 attempts to get a vein, overall not the best experience.

They want to see me again on Tuesday.

Feeling very low

Evening ladies!

Nicolamark - I don't know if the pen I used was the same (I took menopur), but mine worked whether it was loaded or not? If you are worried try loading it with a proper needle - you can always get one extra next time you are at the clinic.

Rebecca - I'm sorry things didn't go better for you at your scan, but you do still have plenty of time for your follies to grow. Try to stay positive sweetie! I will keep everything crossed for your next scan that your one lazy ovary gets her butt into gear!

As for me, getting nervous that none of our embryos will make the defrost! Pray for us please!

Hi ladies,

Welcome all the new April buddies! More BFPs to celebrate.

Rebecca - As a fellow poor responder, I'm right there with you. But, It really only does take 1. It is good that the follies you have are on the same time line. I only had 2 embies last time and they were "poor quality" and I still had my beautiful baby girl. Don't lose hope. It's truly the quality not quantity. I did ICSI to ensure highest probability of fertilizing. Sending you the follie fairy and tons of baby dust.

Charlie - sending very warm prayers for the defrosting of your little embies. My friend has done several IVFs and only gets pregnant on the FET cycles. Keep the faith!!! Image

Stephanie - Your dinner sounds lovely. As for the belly rubbing, I already feel I have a belly and I havent' even started yet! I'll be lucky to fit in my elastic waste bands for work as it is.

Jovigal - Sounds like a lovely Sunday. We spent the day outside as well. Did you say you're working on a report?

Jessica - Welcome! I could not agree more regarding the ICE. When the progesterone shots come around it is a real life saver. I went to college in Seattle and used to live in Kirkland. Which area do you live in? We also have Rebecca a fellow northwesterner (ex-pat). Wishing you tons of luck on Wed's scan.

Nicki - keeping fingers crossed for a great scan on Tue. Hope the pen thingy works itself out. My REs office always seems to have a spare. I brougth mine in last time to make sure it was working OK. Your on your way to stimming!!! Hopefully I won't be far behind you.

Anie - Welcome! Great to have more west coasters online and a fellow Californian. Good luck on your upcoming scan.

Hopeful 2007 - I love your name. It says it all! Welcome.

Donna - any signs of AF? I'm also only 34 and had a 12.7 fsh last year on day 3. I've read alot of speculative stuff on why we're getting premature fsh elevations, but noone really knows. I'm glad we found out soon enough to do something though. How is your follicle reserve? We only need 1, (but I wouldn't mind 2  )

Happy what's left of the week-end. Keeping my fingers crossed for all US this week and our first ET Charlie!! Yeah!! Your little ones and you will do great :D

GOOD LUCK CHARLIE AT YOUR TRANSFER!!! Let us know how you do.

Donna - good to hear that AF arrived for you. Not sure what to count as day one. My RE would say to count today as day 1 but others won't. Maybe give your clinic a call tomorrow.

Daly - my fsh is over 14 now but I'm not giving up yet. I only have 1 ovary so I wonder if that pushes up my fsh number? Yes, I have worked all weekend on a report for work. Comparing Medicare Reimbursement to what the physicians are being paid. Sounds like fun, huh??? Believe it or not, I enjoy it. I'm a nerd.

rebecca, it's only your first scan, don't get down yet. those follies can kick in gear at the last moment. Keep the faith!

Nicki, good luck at your scan on Tues!!! Sorry, I've never used one of those pens before....
