congrats steph on the BFP!

nerms- yay for having your babies back home with you! get some rest- when so you test?

Sha, mama, and nimble- thinking of you during the EC! you'll be fine!

go back for beta #4 today- AF still hasn't come- DH and I are so optimists and I know we're going to get our feelings hurt- usually happens, but we were both talking- well since AF hasn't come yet- and I don't feel it at all, then maybe there's still a chance and maybe just 1 baby let go... most likely not, but there's still hope.

I know I don't deserve it as much as Aunty does, but I also signed up for robinhood.com- it'll be active on wednesday. if anyone wants to go to my site...

have a great day everyone!

Hi Kandice....good luck with your Beta...i don't think there is any harm in being optimistic, the way i see it you will feel hurt either way..perhaps it will take you slightly longer to get over IF it is bad news...but your days leading up to the time will certainly pass by easier! And i will check out your site...all of deserve a bit of a helping hand!

As for me...we ordered some self relaxation/hypnosis to help the embryo implant and help me visualise...will let you know how it goes. Otherwise at the moment lazing about and generally doing not much, go back to work on weds...planning to take it easy! Generally wishing the days away...terrible isn't it!

Rae..hope youre doing ok today...sending you lots of PMA.

Nimble/Sha...any news?

I'm back from the clinic - got 6 eggs of which 4 were mature, not sure how this compares from last time as they never told us how many were mature. I know doesn't make much of a difference but seeing how I've been on double dose it would be interesting to find out.

Anyhow, ICSI will be performed this afternoon on the 4, hoping and praying that the other 2 mature quickly for this afternoon, its and out side chance but hell why not be positive !!

Will find out tomorrow morning which is a barrier which we have to get over, last time the news wasn't fantastic and they didn't give us much hope for them to last til ET, so its our own little milestone to get over. Brings back bad memories of the weekend we had to endure last time. (althought they did survive :) ) hopefully you know what I mean :?

Kandice - I'm praying hard that you get good news and think its great that you are being positive. If anyone was around towards the end of last year, you may remember Laura - similiar circumstances where she was told that she wasn't, then was, then m/c (this was over a couple of weeks) but I guess by now she must be 6mnths or so carrying twins.

Quita - sounds like you've been through the mill abit - good luck for Sat if you manage to hold on that long before doing a hpt !!

Sha/Mama - hope yr EC's went well today too....thinking of you both.

Nims xx

Back on here for second time today. Can't concentrate on anything else.

Still I have chilled out a bit since this morning and at least I still not spotting.

Nimble, best of luck with your ICSI today I'm thinking of you.xxx

Nicola and Shantala, you both asked me where I was in the country and the answer is Sussex. I started off on the waiting list of East Sussex but after 2 years I moved house to West Sussex after being told this wouldn't affect treatment.

However a fortnight before starting treatment in Brighton they wrote to me and said "Oh you have moved so now you going to have to change over to the West sussex lists, but don't worry it won't affect where you are on the list."

However west Sussex said "You can't expect to be at the top of our list - go back to the bottom."

So I was kicking myself, especially since I have found out you get more goes of IVF in East Sussex. West Sussex just give the one.

So a year and a half later had the 3 compulsory goes of IUI at the local hospital where one very nice very over worked nurse does everything including sperm washing.

Then in Jan finally got back to top of list and was sent for IVF in Eastbourne which for those of you who don't know is in East Sussex!

I feel the treatment and care I've had there has been fab, particularly from the nurses.

Bit worried to see the Eastbourne clinic at the wrong end of a list of statistical success nationally. It's hard to know why this is. When you have no other experience else where.

Don't know where we will go if we have to do it again privately, any suggestions welcome.

Anyway. sorry for waffling on.

Quita I'm surprised you sound so calm - I would be absolutely furious at the NHS, guess you probably were at the time. Just because you moved they made you change lists and then still treated you at the hospital that you would have likely to gone to is disgraceful

Lets hope that you dont need to go private   :D

Sometimes, some clinics stats are lower than others as they may deal with cases with a higher % of not getting a +ve but still take them on, they effects the overal stats. Not saying that always the case however something I've been told. Its very hard to compare unless you did an exact like for like on who they treat and ages etc. Also you will find that those that have higher stats also tend to be a little more expensive too so if and say 'if', you need to go through this again, these are all the things that you need to take into consideration if you wanted to look around.

I just went to the one nearest to me, thats about as scentific as we got!!

Still no news from Anna or Yarnista yet????

Glued to my pc this afternoon checking..... where are you guys!!!

Big tummy and cramping

Post by karma_k »

2ww hasn't been so bad since I work so much I sometimes don't have time to think about my embies, but I hope they're sticking and growing.
My HCG test is in 2 days...in the meantime, I've been cramping for the last 2-3 days, but the clinic says to hold on until the HCG on Wednesday...ok, now the stress of the dreaded 2 day-wait occurs.
