Quita - glad the clinic has put you at ease, lots and lots of PMA now honey. BRING ON THAT BFP. ET is on Sat 31st, yes they grow the embies longer in the labs and hopefully they will keep on growing if not there will be nothing to transfer, but lots of PMA here and we will transfer 2 and get that BFP.

Nicki – fantastic news about your lining, so does that mean your stimming now?? I have PCOS and I got 15 eggs of which 9 fert. Some people with PCO over react with the stimms , something you don’t want as can lead to OHSS. But I’m sure your going to produce lots follies. You never know you could turn into a right egg making factory.

Miss piggy – I know you must be disappointed but you still have 2 babies back inside you and they need to hear lots of PMA for them to grow. So come on honey talk to those little one and let them know that their mummy wants them to grow and grow. PMA PMA PMA.

Sonya – how are you chick, good luck for EC can’t wait to hear your numbers. Hope you get lots of eggs that turn into lots of little embies.

Kandice – OMG sweetie you really are having a rough time. There is nothing worse than being kept in limbo. At least you now know that you were PG, lets just hope that you might still be.

Mama – any news on how many fert??? When is your ET???

Steph – how you doing honey??? Has the good news sunk in yet??? Or are you still floating somewhere in the sky??

Mrs B – how you doing? Good news on you getting the gel on prescription.

As for me pain is now under control with paracetamol, did ring my clinic about an hour ago as I was starting to worry, but they have assured me that its normal as I had a lot of follicles that they checked for eggs unfortunately most were empty, that’s why I’m tender as they put it. Felt like telling them I know the difference between tender and bloody PAIN.

Well hope everyone is making the most of the sunshine we’re having.
That’s all I have done is lay around surfing the net all day, what a lounge lizard eh

kia - no probs...they said to me that for each follicle they go in, there will be a small bruise where they inserted the needle...so if you imagine a lot of tiny bruises in a rather sensitive area, no wonder you cant pick yourself up!!! anyway, i couldnt but it gets much better after a couple of days!!

Hi ladies,

and thank you so much for all the well wishes and congrats on my 12 week milestone. Well, Thursday is the really big day when we'll find out what's really going on!

Quita, I understand why you feel down, but try to keep your chin and spirits up. Bleeding, especially light spotting, does not necessarily mean a thing. many preg women have spotting or bleeding around the time of their normal (first missed) period even without having gone through IVF. I did too, and so did my friend who's now 24 weeks along. And with IVF it's a whole different ballgame - I never got around to doing it but in the preparatory meetings my dr explained how there often is bleeding during and after the 2ww following ER and ET. Some of it they can explain (implantation bleeding etc) but partly they don't even know for certain why IVF women tend to bleed more. Their best guess is that the whle process is also hard on your lining etc., so there might be some minor shedding because of that and that's ok. So, of course I don't know what going on in your tummy but please don't give up yet - this happens all the time and you might still get a BFP!!

Nicky, congrats on getting ready for stimming!!! That's great hon!

Holly, I know the news is not exactly what you wanted to hear but hang in there - your embies may well turn out to be gutsy and strong little babies who will hang on and make mommy and daddy happy! Try not to worry too much (some worrying, I think, is inevitable and harmless - it's just our nature), think beautiful happy thoughts and take good care of yourself.

Sha, I'm so sorry to hear that you're in so much pain. Good thing you cut your day short and went home - you need to be kind to yourself now. Hopefully the paracetamol will keep on helping, hang in there... And wonderful news on the fertilization - congrats!

Nimble, great news! I'll be thinking of you tomorrow....

Shantala, I truly hope you'll get your new plans soon so that you can start focusing on the new goal. Hugs!

Nerms, I know the wait is a killer but it seems like you have a great attitude. Keep it up hon, and I'm sending you lots of PMA!

And again I've missed so many of you but have to go now, going to start cooking for MIL who's arriving today. So the next ten days I'll be really tied up, will try to pop in every once in a while though. But if I have no time for comments, please know that you are all in my thoughts and I'm wishing lots more happy news to the ladies on this thread. Will be back....

Hi ladies,

Thank you all for your support and messages. I thought I was a stronger person than I am now but I am taking it pretty hard with the BFN. I thought I did everything I can from day 1 to make it work but I guess it just wasn't my time yet. I don't even know how to move on from here. Dh and I still want a baby of our own but it's so hard to think about going through all that again. I know we are all going through this together but in the end all those appointments, and waiting for results got to be so overwhelming especially with a negative result. I do have 9 frosties but I don't know their quality. The doctor wants to do another beta tomorrow to see if my level of 2.7 will go up. (yeah, just slap me in the face with it, why don't you?) I'm still taking the PIO shots too but I don't think there's hope anyway. I'm sorry for venting girls but I promise I can make it through this. I will just need some time. I will be keeping up with all the posts though and will be praying for all of you.

Till then,
Anna

anna, be strong!!! it's F***ing crap getting BFN I know but you have to see it as, 'things happen for a reason, you cant see it right now!! but it's happened coz it's the way its meant to be' dont knock yourself up over this. Easier said than done i know!

but parhaps, take some time chill out, book a holiday and relax and jump back on the wagon in a few mths time!!

Hi girls! Well I'm relieved to tell you that I just got my second beta results and my numbers went from 98 on Sunday (9dp3dt) to 263 today (11dp3dt). I'm so relieved and happy!!! :D :D We will have our first scan on April 12th so looks like I'm on another 2ww…

Anna- I'm so sorry for your news hon. I wish there was something I could say or do to make you feel better. Just keep telling yourself that in order to get through everything you've done so far it means you are a VERY strong woman and even though things are sad right now you WILL get through this. It will just take some time. So give yourself that time to heal and hopefully you and DH can come to a decision for the future that you both feel good about. You will be in my prayers. And we are always hear for you anytime you need to vent. Vent away!!!! (((BIG HUGS)))

Miss Piggy- Congrats on bringing your two little ones back home!! I'm so happy for you! :D When is your test date?

Rae- Wow, 12 weeks already!! :o How wonderful. Has the time just flown by?? Have a good time with your mil but try not to let yourself get stuck doing all the cooking. The mommy-to-be deserves to be pampered!

Shantala- Sorry to hear your clinic is giving you the run around. :x I really hope you hear back from them soon. I know you are anxious to move forward!!

Sha- I am doing well, thanks for asking! But the news definitely hasn't sunk in yet. I don't think it will until we see the little heart beat….2 more weeks! DH keeps telling me I'm "glowing". I think he probably heard that in a movie but bless him for saying it anyway!! Sorry to hear about your pain. I did have quite a lot of pain for about 48 hours after EC. Did they give you any pain meds to take?? I was taking one every 6 hours and it really helped. I felt much better by day 3 so I hope the same happens for you.

Nicki- Congrats on a great baseline appointment! I had the same thing happen. My RE said my ovaries had a "poly cystic look" to them. I ended up having about 15 follies and 12 mature eggs! Grow follies grow!!!! :P

Kandice- Good luck with your beta. I hope it's good news. I know this roller coaster ride is really putting you and your DH through the wringer :( so I pray that it all works out for you! But it sounds like your PMA is really strong regardless of the outcome and that's great.

Nimble- Fabulous news!!!! I'm so happy for you!!!! Best of luck on your ET.

Nerms- I know the 2ww is torture but you can do it!!! I know it's hard to not overanalyze every little twinge but try to relax and you will get through it just fine. Ten more days until your BFP sweetie!!

Quita- Sorry about your spotting but if it makes you feel any better, I had ET on the 16th just one day before you and I spotted yesterday. I was concerned since I had already received a BFP but I went in today and my numbers had more than doubled and the nurse said spotting is completely normal. Just keep an eye on it and try not to worry. You're almost there!!

Jill & Sonya- Best of luck to both of you for EC!!!!!!!!!

Natalie 34 eggies is amazing!!!! :D Can't wait to hear your fert report today!

Marcia- Sounds like you've got DH trained quite well!! Cooking AND cleaning!! Way to go!

Yarnista- How are you holding up? I can't say for sure but I think after a BFN you can stop your meds. I hope your doctor gets back to you soon. Thinking of you…

Karma- Not long until test day! Are you getting excited?

Chvonne- How are you handling the 2ww? Not too much longer!

Well, DH and I are leaving tomorrow to go to Florida for 6 days. 8) I am very much looking forward to relaxing on the beach and celebrating our BFP! I may not be online as much but I do have a computer there so I will try to get on and check on you girls for updates. Especially those of you in the 2ww!!

Thank you all so much. You have put a big smile on my face with all your support. And I am not nearly as worried now.

I am so glad i took the plunge and joined this message board. I don't know about you lot but before I did I felt completely alone having not ever met anyone else going through IVF.

And even our poor long suffering lovely husbands can't really understand how the hormones and growing pains really make us feel.

But since I've met you lot I feel like I've got an army beside me and its made soooo much difference.

Coming on here also makes me feel closer to my embies.

I've noticed how many people today have mentioned PMA so you might think I am a complete twit but I've decided I am going to start chanting out loud to myself "Positive Mental Attitude BFP" three times a day at 8am 1.30pm and 8pm and I'm hoping some of you might do the same at the same time.

Well it works on Deal or No Deal!

Ps, if you think I've been watching too much Trisha - don't tell me!

Youre probably right, just blame the hormones.

PPS we could also put our fingers under our noses as some one suggested in an earlier message - it should make us laugh at least!

Right, i need to increase PROTEIN in my diet, to help the quality of my eggs now i am started on the 'egg food' injections!!!

Im Vegetarian!!!

I have had cous cous and vegetables for dinner 2night, but i am just thinking, does any1 know what veggies have the most protien???

I am going to eat, beans, nuts and seeds more these nest 12 days, make sure i have that in every meal!

Peanut butter is also high protien, so will have peanut butter sarnies tomorrow at work!!

Right, i am going to search protien diets on line now!!! xx

Hello girls...

This site truly is great....all your lovely support..no wonder i'm still positive..you girls keep me going!

Sha...i'm ok...varies from minute to minute though...getting very bored and now looking forward to returning to work tmw...although i have asked them not to overbook me! Great fert report...so pleased...now darling embies grow grow grow!

Nicky...soy, lentils and pulses are all excellent sources of protein...i'm not sure about having peanuts AFTER ET as generally in pregnancy they should be avoided...and technically once we have had ET...you're pregnant until proven otherwise (don't know if that's technically true...but that's what i like to think!) The seeds are good sources of other nutrients such as Zinc and selenium which are also important. So how's it going with the pen?

Nimble...good luck for tomorrow...lots of sticky baby dust for you.

Shantala...you know you can talk to any of us anytime you feel down...your right the sunshine def helps...can you imagine if it were all dull and raining!! ...and keep up your PMA. Good luck with your interviews...what area will you be working in?

Mama...what a fantastic fert report...you'll be spoilt for choice! Keep growing embies!!

Steph..have a lovely time in Florida...great numbers...and reassuring that you can spot and still be ok...just incase it happens to me!

Anna...i'm so sorry that your going through a hard time right now...please feel free to vent anytime you wish...we're here for you. You're right you know...you will get over this sad sad period and maybe just try and get over one hurdle at a time, grieve..it's important..and when your ready you can think about another go...9 frosties after all :D Waiting for you to make them a mummy...generally they only freeze good quality embies...so hopefully you'll be ok and things will work out eventually.

Quita...thanks for your advise...since you've said that i keep imagining my uterus protecting my little embies...lets hope they are getting ready to implant as i write!!! Glad to hear you're feeling a bit more positive..and i think i might repeat your mantra too...who knows hey!

Ok better dash for now..but i know i've missed alot of you...but DH wants computer back!! Hello to all!
