Good Morning ladies!

This time zone thing really tends to bother me, you guys are posting at midnight'ish my time, and they in the evenings for me, you are all asleep... oh well! That's what we get for being all cultured and global-like.

Fee! That is terrible! I hope that FIL is okay, gosh the bone was showing!!! Ewww! That so stinks when you are trying to do something good and get everyone's mind off of something bad, and voila yuck-happens!

Angie! I am so glad that DC is treating you well, and Krisy Kreme (my very good friend) is taking good care of you! Hee hee! Get those boots!!! I love boots! When we went to Canada last year we went to this great mall in Toronto, and I got my favorite boots, ever! They are mid-calf, black, and so HOT! I have a shoe thing... don't worry though, I know I have a problem - so I don't have to go to meetings.

Wanna! I hope your icky-sickness (that's what I am calling it, since it's really not morning sickness) gets better soon! You poor thing! But if it makes you feel ANY better, since I've been sick, I really haven't eaten much at all, food makes me feel gross. So I guess I have sympathy pains for you

Meg! I hope you are able to find a ladder soon, there is a light at the end of the tunnel I promise! I recommend 2 large pieces of chocolate, some shoe shopping, maybe an accessory or two, and call me in the morning! :D

I actually slept last night, so that is good. I had to hock up on Benedryl, but I slept. I woke up breathing out of my mouth, with my mouth so dry it was like I was sucking on cotton balls, and I hadn't been drinking anything - sort of a yucky feeling. I feel like I have blown pounds (or Kg's for you other time zoners) of snot out of my nose... I know TMI, sorry! But now that I slept and found that that DH sold a nice size account today, I am feeling better... at least PMA.

So yes, I am a cancer survivor, self proclaimed Coochie Cancer survivor... it was non-HPV Cervical Cancer, stage 1. Treatments and drugs, the whole schi-bag, it's been 1 year and 10 days that I have been Coochie Cancer Free. So go me! This has nothing to do with our IF, unfortunately at least that would have been an easy thing to understand, at least from DH's point of view... but that's okay. I am good, I am healthy, and we are working towards a baby, and that's all that matters.

Amy, Vicky, Nickster, Coco, where are you, echo, echo, echo....

Love,

Mel

Just a quick reply....

Fee--I don't think there's anything wrong with a the pregnant slutty look. I've been shopping for maternity clothes and honestly it might be the way to go. I'd think twice about those boots if I were you!

Angie--When is your test date? I'm sorry that we're messing up your posting by sleeping. I will try to stay up all night and chat with you--after all, who needs sleep? I've been having freaky butt dreams anyway (not dreams about a freaky butt, although that will probably happen tonight now!)

Patie--Hope you're having a good trip and get on that shopping spree--We need an economy boost

Sassy--My family and I are coming to Vegas next month. What shows should we see? Usually when I go to Vegas I just gamble and party but seeing as my partying is going to be fairly limited this time, thought maybe I'd do the show thing.

Wow, guess it's not so quick of a post!

We are going in to meet our doctor today--didn't get to meet her at our last visit as she was delivering a baby. Hope we like her and hope we get to listen to the hb---you really get addicted to that quickly!

I think I'm out of my funk!!!!

and so you're back....
from outer space....
I just walked in to find you here
with that sad look upon your face...

Vegas baby... we are home. LONG WEEKEND... and I am worn out. I am so far behind with my work... but it is already late so no worries here. Dave was GREAT!! Amazing set lists both nights. I do love him more and more BUT... the girl next to me had to tell me that he was shortening his summer tour due to his NEW ARRIVAL. What a buzz kill! So I then hummed...

Shot through the heart...
and your too late darling
you give love... a bad name.

Apparently DH knew this and purposely didn't let me in on it. It is why I keep him around... he does try to keep me sane by hoarding some info. So ladies.. how many of you have done some time in Vegas? I am sure there are a few of you. Well we all know the mantra, "What happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas". That was certainly the case on Friday night. We had floor seats down front on Friday evening, which are lost on me due to my 5'1" nature, but anywhoo.. the people in front of us were crazy! 5 women, 5 men - and they were either swingers or hookers. I was ready to ask but DH told me I couldn't. Mortifying to watch ladies. Switching partners left and right... hands in compromising places... I was so grossed out I had to make friends with the 60 year old usher named Patti. She thought swingers. Any ideas Sass? What is going on in that place? Saturday night was much better. No weirdos around. In between shows I just spent my time shopping and eating. That was great. I am sad I missed your call Sass. I looked through my call log and think you might have been victim to my girlfriends son. He was chewing on my phone at the Desert Passage shops.

fee - Did you have your bloodwork done? Are you going to ask for the numbers? If you need me, I will come down to help. I think I would be a fantastic paralegal and I can also assist you with you or MILs medical needs.

sass - I will be back your way soon. we need to hit those shops. I found so many things I "needed". Glad to hear you are taking a break. I think mental clarity is priceless. I also think that it could move you forward on your adoption plans... If I play my cards right we could do a cycle or two together also!

angie - pink and brown are okay... you just sing it. what day are we testing?

Mego - you in maternity pants now? Aren't they the best? so comfy.

Girls I have to run DS to school. Be back later...

A

Amy -I am so glad that you had a fantabulous time in Vegas! And that your boyfriend helped you out a bit with that! I hope that you had a great time in Vegas, Baby! And I am so glad that the show was all that you wanted it to be!

(and don't listen to those nay-sayers, you know that you are first in Dave's life!)

Meg! I am happy to hear you are funkless! You know my sister rented that heart monitor thingie online, and she listened to the twins heart beats all of the time! It's harmless to you and little ones, and it helped her get through alot of the harder times. It wasn't too expensive, I think it was $15 a month or something like that... Just a thought.

Yup, with a regular ole' PAP, and I am religious about my annual pap, so it was strange that the cancer popped up so quickly, but either way at least they got it, and got it all, and it's done.

Soooo get your pap! (not that anyone has to tell us, but you know... it's a good public service announcement)

Hey Patie!

Thanks by the way! It was a tough road, but also a life lesson - it changes you as a person. (everyone says that, but of course I never believed it) but it does, I am so much stronger now, and really take every day as a gift. (unless I am in a funk)

I am in Florida - good ole Sunny Florida. Actually I am in North Florida, very North, so we get freezes here. (Gainesville to be exact).

I hope you are enjoying your trip!

Hello Sistas!!!...........I loved your comeback song Amy, I still have it in my head...."and so you're back, from outer space......lalalalalalala"

Angie....hope this week goes by sooo quick for you, I must be the tenth person to ask, sorry, but when is your test date?......I say, go get those booties!!!!!!!

Fee....so sad about your MIL and also your FIL getting that horrible cut!!!!. I hope your in-laws begin a new "bad luck" free period now......About your outfit, you totally deserve to be a hot mamma, so go ahead and get those stiletto heel boots and make your Sistas proud!!!! How's Noggin doing?

Patie.....so I see DC it treating you right!!. Jet-lag's over?..hope it is....When are you going back to Dubai?...

Mel......wow, congratulations on being a survivor!!!, you must be a very strong woman!!!! How's that cold treating you?

Meg.....wohooo, out of your funk!!, that is great news!!. Was it the chocolate recipe that Fee gave you?

Amy.....glad your trip to Vegas was fun, what's with those swingers/hookers!!!, wowwww!!, it must have been fun to watch though (don't get me wrong, I am not a 60yr old block(did I write it ok?....)

Sassy....how is your IVF time off going????..........I hope taking time off IVF doesn't mean leaving your sistas!!!.noooooooooooooooo, that goes against the by laws of the sisterhood, can't do that!!. Glad your DH is trying to change his mind, give him some time, as you are wisely doing, he will come around....

As per me, not much different going on, started Lupron on Sunday...whoohoooo back on the needles after a long time!!!. That's about it........

Hey girls!

Vicky: nah... you guys can't get rid of me that easily  . Congrats on starting the lupron... big stims just around the corner!

Amy: glad to hear you painted our lovely little understated town red! As for Dave... don't worry babe... he only has eyes for you. As for the grab-a$$'ers in front of you... i am sure it was part of the swinger scene here... never a dull moment. Just one more reason why i hope to move out of here if we ever manage to conceive, adopt or otherwise procure a child of any kind! Oh, yes... i haven't been to desert passage in a VERY long time... i'm thinking just an hour there would have cured me of my funk. So if you return, i'm on it.

Mel: congrats on the whole "coochie cancer" survivor thing. Very impressive. good thing you were "papping" every year so they caught it early. what a blessing that was. Also, yes, i live in vegas... so maybe we can rendezvous next time you visit!

Fee: I am all for preg and slutty

Meg: My favorites are the cirque shows... "O" and "Mystere". They are both amazingly gorgeous (although I think mystere is probably our slight favorite, we have seen it twice). "O" has this incredible stage where part of it is water. If you are looking for off-beat and crazy.. the blue man group show is good. I haven't seen any of the current comic shows, so i am of no help there. I have heard Danny Gans is real good... don't know if he is still around. Ka, which is also a cirque show has an asian theme. I have heard good things but haven't seen it myself. Zumanity is cirque's answer to the porn industry... again, haven't seen it (and i don't plan on it). Hope you have a fab time! Hope the ob appt went well today, and that you like your MD. Also glad to hear the funk is lifting!

Angie: Definitely go for the boots! Us ivf'ers should take every excuse to pamper ourselves. OK... this is the sucky wk... the end of the 2ww. where it is hard to concentrate on anything besides whether or how many beanies are growing in there. I am thinking a pair of shoes/boots a day to compensate you for emotional distress (i have clearly been spending too much time in the court room lately  ).

Had vivid dreams last night... i will spare you the "psycho"delic details, but i was shot at close range twice in the chest... a doctor friend of my fil was there and part of the group who shot me (apparently i had info about them in a legal case they didn't want getting out  ), and i had to play dead as he listened to my heart to confirm i was dead before they left. Anyway... freaky.

dh case went well.. they won. They didn't get punitive damages which sucks... but they won a big verdict, and in the end that is all the client really needed. So i am very excited now to get some sleep. Thanks for all your input on dh and adoption. I have found that if i try to pressure him about anything, he just resists it more. SOOO, although it is killing me, i haven't (and won't) ask him what that conversation meant. It is so hard to be patient... but i know my best chance is to let him come to decision on his own. I just have a hard time thinking he would have done that (knowing how i feel about adoption) in front of me, unless he was actually considering the idea. I don't think i have ever loved him more than when i realized what he was asking them about. Twice since then i have allowed myself to daydream about filling out paperwork, and getting that call that a baby is ours... but i know i need to stop getting my hopes up.

Hope you are all well

Hi sistas - now just who is this Dave guy? I really want to see a picture of him, to see what all the fuss is about. Whoever sends me the link first will win the right to have his love child - only those with male factor issues are eligible to apply however!! (hee hee - hope I am not being too mean to our DH's here!)

I am testing on Monday 2nd April ( at least it's not April Fool's day) which will be Sunday for most of you ladies.

I am going to drag DH out at the weekend to look at kitchens and bathrooms to take our mind of things. And no HPT' s for me so far either - as long as I don't buy one I will be ok - once it's in the house it will be way too tempting ( a bit like chocolate)

BTW - well done Vicky for officially being in cycle again. Wishing you a smooth ride!

Ang-I'm proud of you for not taking the hpt---I hate them. It must be fun focusing on the new house. That is a fun thing...I ordered a new kitchen table (it was my birthday present...romantic, huh?) and it's supposed to be here next week. It's funny how things like that really cheer you up. Anyway, have fun looking at all the kitchens and bathrooms...

Sassy--Congrats to your DH on his trial. Bet that's a huge relief that that's over. Thanks for the show tips. We'd already booked tickets for O, so I'm glad that got such a high Sassy review!

Vicky--Congrats on the needle! You must be thrilled to be back in the saddle! Wishing you the best of luck....

I met my doc today and liked her alot so that's a relief. I've been having horrible headaches and she told me to start taking magnesium and riboflavin supplements--everyone pray that they work because every night my head feels like it's going to explode. And contrary to popular belief, some thought does occur in my head, so if it explodes I think I would notice it was gone!

Well, best be off to bed. I know I said I'd stay up all night to chat with you Australians, but maybe it'll have to be tomorrow. Sorry, guess I'm a big liar.
