Marcia - firstly I know exactly how you feel my follies were not growing as they should have been in the beginning, I was pulling my hair and worrying myself sick that I wouldn’t have any eggs at EC, but with all the support and encouragement I got from the girls here I kept PMA and we had 12 eggs.

I can sympathise with you over the PCOS as well as I have it and my clinic always worries about OHSS which I have had in the past, I didn’t have my little embies back until I was given the all clear. Please be aware that having PCOS doesn’t always mean that you wont get any mature eggs. I have always produced eggS sometimes more than others, but you have to keep PMA sweetie. There are a lot of ladies out there with PCOS and have lovely healthy little one, so if its worked for them then why shouldn’t it work for us.

So chin up honey and send lots of growing messages to those follies. GROW FOLLIES GROW.

Hate needels soooo much now never had a problem before. And the injections burn like hell they never tell you that on the TV do they?!!

Hi don't give up I was under stimed with just 3 on one side and and four on the other and they took ages to grow but in the last few days they peped up a bit and in the end the collected 6 eggs 5 of which fertilised and 2 of which were good quality.

Think of you on NHS too and the pressure of one try looming large xx

I am now living with a hot water bottle on my tummy because my tummy is always cold to touch.My accu guy said to keep it warm.

Hello... i'm going back to work today...feels strange to get up and get ready to go somewhere...the past four days i've been lazing around and been indoors all the time!

Marcia...please stay positive...i was also slow to start off with...presumably they have you on low dose...on feb thread check out Angie...she was stimming for a month

and a day because of PCOS and OHSS risk. She's on her 2ww now.

Miss Piggy...gen not advisable to use hot water bottle on tummy, both accu and hospital advised against...maybe keep warm with your hands instead...hope you don't mind me saying.

Sonya...hope EC goes well today.

Nimble...hope ET has gone brill today. Sorry i only just read your pm!! Sun sounds ok..will mail you later...getting a bit late right now.

Good morning ladies-

Well today is a good day even though I do not feel good. I just got back from the doc and she measured 15 follies and ½ were 10-12 and ½ were 12-15.5mm. They will call me later with my estrogen level and let me know if I need to adjust meds. I am right on schedule.

Chvonne-Hope the nausea is morning sickness…good luck and baby dust be with you!

Yarnista-I agree...once your cycle is over they tend to pay less attention to you. I guess they have other patients to take care of that are still paying. My doc never called me…he had the nurse do it. I am so glad to see you are being positive…My prayers are with you!

Sonya-Good luck today hope you get lots of good eggies…let us know ASAP!!! Boy you hit the nail on the head…my DH was able to find his for 34 years and now he always asks me the dumbest questions.

Marcia-Don’t let yourself get down, I know it is hard but your babies need you to stay positive. You can do this even if it takes a little longer.

Fijibabie-Welcome we would love for you to join of group. What are your dates?

Sha-I had a very painful EC last time and was in bed for 3 days but after that I was OK.

Anie-I just started taking Ganerilix last night and yes I take it right after my Follistim. I take Menopur in the morning. Are you taking Lupron??? I think we might be on the same protocol. My nurse always does everything accept the EC and ET! I am also bloated; I gained about 8lbs last time and between only lost about 3lbs. As of today I lost 1 lb since Monday…YEA! What are your dates??? Sounds like we might be close.

I've been really bad about checking in and posting, but I'm doing alright- I went for another beta today-MY 5TH! - waiting for results. but AF has come and it's a little heavier than normal but definitely manageable. i almsot hope the numbers have gone down so that I can just get over this and set this time behind me and look forward to the next time....

BWHD- ouch! your ACL? I had quite a few friends in school- HS and college that tore ACLs when we were playing soccer. are you in a brace? and about lbs... a bit of something to loko forward to- when I got my BFP I lost 4 lbs that week- noticed it in my preg book, that's normal because metabolism changes to feed babies- so there's always hope!

Marcia- keep your chin up! it's a stressful time anyways and the follies WILL grow!!!

figibaby- welcome! this is a great group!

sonya- YAY on the trigger- it's almost here! good luck on EC!

anie- I had an u/s tech do my u/s. the dr always came in towards the end and just reviewed the results.

Just got back from EC. We got 9 follies and as Nimbs says they are having a naughty party with dh's sperm as we speak! I was reallly hoping for 11-12 follies but 9 is good!
How did ec go for you Jill? Nimbs are the embies back with their mommy?

Hey ladies, my babies are back home, snuggling in and making themselves at home. They put back 1 2cell grade 2 & 1 4 cell grade 2 embies back, the 3rd one was a 4 cell but they said it was very fragmented and not good quality.

I’ve been very good this afternoon and chilling and relaxing in front of the TV and talking to my embies. Also had accu pre and post transfer so fingers crossed every bit counts.

So now the dreaded 2ww – I’m going to take some time off work on testing day and day before so with the weekend being Easter that means I get 6 days off and it also means that I’m only working 4 days in the 2ww – just bliss

Jill – how did your collection go – hope you have lots of happy eggies.

Sonya - wayhey, thats really good - well done!! Hope they are having a great party, not too much alcohol I hope and do they have a time to be home by

BWHD – I’ve been stalking you on the other thread as I saw that you had posted and wanted to see how you were getting on. Saw that you had achieved your weight loss so well done, its crap that the BCP’s have made you put a wee back on. Time has gone so quickly, can’t believe its already time for you to start stims – although suspect its dragged for you.

your skiing accident must hurt – hope you are taking care of yourself.

Marcia - completely understand how you must be feeling although I am surprised that they didn’t put you on to 450iu of menopur. The exact same thing happened to me on my first cycle and for the first 7days of stims, my follies were like snails and hardly responded, so they increased my dose to the max which kicked them in touch, they also kept me on it for much longer to give me a fighting chance of getting some eggs at EC so hopefully they will do the same for you. There is no benefit to them in taking you in prior to them being ready so I'm sure they will continue yr meds. I know its a real pain when the timetable shifts but us women, we are so unpredictable

Keep positive it will work out for the best.

Anyway why worry about 2nd/3rd goes - you're not going to need them after you get your BFP

Those follies will grow, they are obviously a wee bit stubborn like the rest of ours!!

Fijibabie – welcome to this thread – as you can see many of us are in mid cycle too so it’s a great place to come and ask questions, vent or keep us updated. Let me know your dates of scans etc and can all your details to the list.

Anie – I think it is usual for nurses to do the scans – I saw my consultant for the first time today when he put my babies back in!!

And yes, unfort, weight gain is the worse side effect ever!! I have found that mine evens out as I have stopped drinking – which doesn’t say much on how much I normally drink

5th beta results 142! the highest yet.

??? and i'm having AF to visit?!!??!

so I go in for an u/s tomorrow at 11:30 am and the nurse told me to prepare emotionally and physically- take 800mg of advil or motrin- for a d&c tomorrow if needed.

ugh! I can't imagine wanting this baby so bad and now having to give it up!!!!!!

sigh....
