Surgery Surprise!! from an ex whinger

Post by Annie »

Hi everyone
Bearing in mind that id been prepared for the fact that Id need my tubes removing, that ive had 4 FETs including two mc and that my original laproscopy showed well blocked/swollen tubes, you could have knocked me down with a feather when they told me following surgery this week that after removing the adhesions from around the tubes that some dye trickled through!!!!!BOTH TUBES

The surgery was meant to be looking at how badly diseased my tubes are with a view to removing if they were too bad to mend / swollen or possibly trying to open one or both. I was also told that they would try to get rid of some of the adhesions around the ovaries/tubes aswell. Still cant get my head round the possibility that there is even a little chance that we might get there naturally ( I hope you are reading this Clara 1!)

I havent posted since a major whinge in late November and several lovely people replied and really cheered me up. Since then Ive not had time to pop in ( a rat invaded our basement!! and I had tonnes of work to finish off before going off work to have my tubal surgery)

As usual Ive been preparing myself for the worst case scenario and am totally gob smacked that its worked (so far any way )
I said Id be back with good news who,d knew it would be so soon!!!
I hope Im on a roll, Id written off 2003 as worst year yet, just goes to show you never can tell
love and good luck to you all
Ps just the Polycystic ovaries ,mcing and age thing to get over now!

Hi Annie

That IS good news - what a nice surprise!

I had the dye thing done but no dye got through my remaining tube so it's definitely coming out in January. I found myself apologising to it yesterday! I too have lots of adhesions, the result of appendicitis when I was 13.

Well, all the very best to you. Might be joining you for next cycle in February. Hope so!

Roll on 2004!! (Good riddance 2003)

Claire
