Hello,
I haven't started any Meds, they want me to wait until after I get my blood drawn tomorrow.
Have any of you had your estrogen checked when you were on AF before you started meds?

According to what I read online, it is normal if it is up to 400.
I am soooo stressed!
Plus I have two dogs in heat at home, I am trying to mate them. LOL

Lots of estrogen in my house!!!!

Hi girls,

Good day here..finally a good day. My US showed 18 follies growing and measuring around 10mm - so that is right on track. My bloodwork just came back and my estrogen level is 1400 on day 6, so they said my meds stay the same and I might go a day early!

Stephanie - Glad everything is going great - looks like we have almost the same number too!

Donna - I was told that my estrogen level had to be below 50 before I started stimming. Sorry you are stressing, concentrate on those doggies getting it on! Have fun with that and I will keep my fingers crossed!

Anie - great news too! Lots of follies!!! YEAH!

Daly - Good luck on Thursady, glad AF started!!!

Charlie - Hope you are hanging int here during your 2WW, thinking of you and sending baby vibes your way!!

Nicola - Yeah to your first injection with no pain! I wish I had no pain!

Rebecca - I am sorry your estrogen is low, please keep us posted.

Everyone I missed hope everything is on track and wishing you all well!
Jessica

Hello
Thank u for your support
I spoke to the head nurse and she said last month on day 5 of my cycle my estrogen was 65 and went to 508 doing the chlomid challange test!
The nurse said don't worry and worse case senerio I will have to take bc pills for a few weeks.
I know I have to be patient and relax.

Ttyl

Hey everyone,

Donna - I'm sooo sorry for the roller coaster upset. I'm nervouse about my labs tomorrow as well. Keeping fingers crossed for us both. I'm completely confused about this whole estrogen level thing. I know later on they test to see it your estrogen levels coorelate with the number of follies. So, they are different for different people. I'll ask tomorrow about this screening estrogen level. At least, you have a good plan b with taking bcp. You'll get to that BFP and that's the biggest goal. (I know the days sure drag in between) What kind of dogs? I have 2 poms that are completely spoiled.

Jessica - Fantastic scan! WOW!! Whoever your follie fairie is, I want her number! You are well on your way to a BFP! Spread that follie dust aroudn :P

BWHD - Congrats on getting your meds. This will be the cycle for you - 3rd times a charm, right?

Nicki - Congrats on graduating to the hard core needle sticking. No more sissy sniffing for you!

Steph - Both you and Jess are doing great and need to share your follie fairies business card with us. What a great cycle. I anticipate you may have a little extra reason (or reasons..) to be sea sick during your cruise  If so, I'm sure you will glow with radiance either way. Why did they put you on the short protocol?

Karia - Good luck down-regging. Is this your first IVF? It's so exciting getting the schedule finally. I should gfet mine tomorrow.

April - sorry about the class. There is a good IVF site I used. I think it was IVFER.com. A guy put it together very well and organized when his wife was stimming and it is extemely helpful. I think it links to a Chicago IVF clinic. Regarding what to eat, people tend to look to Zita West's books for that. The top sticky of Do's and Don'ts has some tips and a few pages ago a person posted some great info from Zita WEst on 2 postings. Check back a couple pages in the general forum for Zita WEst in the topic. Good luck!

Annie - Great job on your follies. WOW! Ganirelix is generic for Antagon and it is only taken once daily (usually at night). It is similar to Lupron in activity. It keeps you from ovulateing early. What is your ER date?

CorElla - I so understand your feelings. I am a complete space cadet. I have a terrible time concentrating and can't remember anything. My mind feels like mush. I'm sure stress plays a huge role in it. I have difficulty making any plans as well, because so much seems to hinge on whether or not I get pregnant or will be on 2ww etc, etc. It is unpredictable and emotionally draining. We float from highs to lows on a daily level depending on our fertiltiy status! It's like a stock broker following the DOW. I think our minds need a break, and when we dont' give it to them, they take involuntarily! Are you taking 900IU Follistim daily? And yes, charish the Valium. They give that on ET so your uterus doesn't spasm and it doesn't hurt to have the mental relaxation either! They said in their notes that I was "hyper" on my first ET and then doubled the Valium for the next IVF and I got a BFP. (I never seem to respond right to meds!) Go Valium!!

Rebecca - Hoping your doing well and that you Estrogen level starts to behave! Can they ever give the estrogen patch in these situations?

Big hi to everyone else! Thanks for the list update Charlie - sticky sticky sticky!!

Goodluck tomorrow. Do u think stress plays a role in our estrogen level? I have an english bulldog, she is getting inseminated soon abd I also have 2 weiner dogs.

I had three nurses call me in the past few days telling me different things of what's going on with my cycle the head nurse called me today and apologized and said the nurses didn't read the notes on my file and they aren't going to charge me for my next ultrasound foe the inconvience.
I wasn't given accurate details and I was upset all day today.

Thanj u for listening

Donna - how frustrating!! :x I hope you can talk with the head nurse from now on. This is stressful enough without nurses bumbling your info. I would think stress can effect any hormones including estrogen. I'm not sure if your estrogen level is considered "bad" outside an IVF cycle. Did they say why that level is not appropriate for starting stims? I wonder if the estrogen level indicates if you are over-suppressed or under-supressed or something different? I may have to wait as well. I'll see what the labs and scan say tomorrow. We'll get to the BFP somehow. I'm not sure this new protocol they have me on will work and will probably pay for a 2 package deal so they can iron out any kinks in the first trial. Try, try again!! We will get there :D

BTW, I love weiner dogs. They are so cute. We almost bought a weiner dog instead of a second pom. They are so adorable.
