Started bleeding ....

Post by jen »

Hi Girls

Feel really down, have had period type pains practically since EC and they've gotten stronger since yesterday. Well just a few minutes ago I started bleeding. This happened last time too, don't know yet if it's full blown AF or if it is the embies coming away.

Had a weak +ive last time that turned -ive. Have already resigned ourselves to the fact that it hasn't worked out again. After 3 IUI's, 1 IVF and 5 ICSI's all -ive don't really know if it's worth giving it another shot or not.

Well we've got each other, we'll get thru Christmas and get very drunk.

Hope to see some more +ives for Christmas though - we need some more good news please.

Love Jen xx

Dear Jen

Sorry to hear that you have started bleeding. I don't know what to say except as you know I have been there myself and know the pain and disapointment. When are you testing Jen? I know it is a cliche but you just never know.
As you say we just have to cling to our husbands and hope for something better soon. Am here if you want a cyber chat, you are not alone in how you are feeling. Thinking of you and DH
Gracexxx

Feeling for you right now as I know full well what you are going through, I am glad I have made it through this week cause I think thats the toughest after a negative .

{{{{{{{{{{{{{{{{{{{{{HUG}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}

Trace x

Hi Girls

Thanks for the messages - I remembering reading Di's news and it giving me hope, I think we will try once more but get thru Christmas first - gluttons for punishment!!!

Anyway a bit of an update - had that little bit of spotting on Sat, then a bit more on Sun. Did a HPT (very naughty I know) on Sun and it showed a fairly faint +ive. Rang the ARGC first thing this morning and asked if I could have my blood test a day early. So I had it and it came back as 26, but when I did a HPT tonight it was a lot fainter than Sundays one.

Have really written this one off now, even though I've to do a repeat BT on Wed. It's exactly like last time, low +ive drifting into a complete -ive.

I'll give you the final outcome on Wed though.

Take care
Love Jen xx

Hi Jen,
So sorry to hear your news - I know only to well the disappointment and despair of repeated failures.
Have the clinic given you any indication of why the faint +ve result? Surely that in its self must give you some hope. We decided for our last tmt to throw everything at it and travel from SCOTALND DOWN TO THE PARK in NOTTINGHAM for further tests and they showed a number of probs which have all been treatable - now 16 weeks all thanks to the Care at the Park staff!
Might be wortwhile considering more tests as up here it would have just been another tmt and fingers crossed = another failure!
If you want any more info just email me!
Take care,
Di

Well a bit of an update ....

Had the repeat bloods done today and they have doubled, HCG level is 50 now. I can't believe it's happened. It's still extremely early days yet and the levels are quite low, I've got to go back again on Fri and see if the levels go up again. Have any of you heard of levels this low making it to a healthy pregnancy???

Just sitting tight now and keeping everything crossed. But thanks so much for the support.

I will keep you all updated.

Di - I've had my NK cells test done and that came back ok but then on ET day I was told the levels were borderline an so I had to have an IVIG 2 days after ET. When the levels came back today I had to have another one. I just hope that has made the difference.

Maybe the luck of the Irish will stick with my Grace - I hope so.

Lots of love
Jen xx
