Melissa, you are welcome to "peek" here any time you want. I saw it today. It was really hard to find though. And for whoever asked the question. . . im not carrying it, my DP (sharon) is. Her cervix was really pink and I could see where the opening would be if it were to be open (unfortunatley it is not yet). There was white kinda thick looking CM at the opening.
I have questions about the ICI. I seem to be getting alot of different info from people who have tried it at home. Some say don't put it in the cervix and others say they did and it was ok and sucessful. The one's that say don't say it causes really bad cramping and could cause an infection that the vagina actually filters the semen and sperm and you don't want all the "raw" material in your cervix. Has anyone heard all of this. I really am feeling like I want to put the catheter all the way in the opening of the cervix. I feel like we would have a better chance that way. I just don't want to cause her pain or anything that would really hurt her. I will be looking at her cervix daily now watching for the changes. This is sooo way cool. I am thinking we will be ready to insem in about 4-6 days!! WHOOOO HOOOOO!
Just to let you guys know, We did our first AI this evening. I think we may be a little early but DP's temp dropped this morning to the lowest it has ever been yet, we had a postive fern, and when I checked her cervix it was not completely open but I could definatley tell a huge change. It was a little open. She still has not got the egg white CM though, that is why I think we are too early. Also no + OPK. But this afternoon she said she felt the little "pinch" she feels when she normally O's. So who knows.
Since we are using a known donor, we fortunatley have an endless supply. So since I think we are early we will be AI'ing daily for the next 3 days probably.
Say prayers that this works. I just don't want to miss it. I will keep you all posted. Thanks for all your support. This mesage board is great!

Good luck to you both then!!! what day of the cycle is your DP on?
Day 1 being the first day of her last bleed??
I get 'pinch' as you call it leading up to ovulation (its the follicles growing!!)
Sounds like you have a great known donor, how is he with everything?? Does he want to be part of the childs life after he/she's born??
Hope that u have your BFP soon!!!
By the way the last half of any1's cycle is always 14 days! so if u dont get lucky this time, then count back 14 days and that would have been when she Ovulated!! the leutral stage is always, 12-16 days long never any longer!!!! so 14 being average, you can see then, helps with future monitoring, but hey lets hope u dont have to....
GOODLUCK!!! x x

http://www.fertilityfriend.com/home/197d81, you should be able to see our charting if you go to this link. Her temps have been real up and down. She is on day 12 today.
We do have a great donor. He said in the beginning he would be as involved or not as we were comfortable with. If we did not want he would still be happy to donate just to help someone out. He understand how hard it is for lesbians to get pregnant. He is also gay, so he probably understands more than most. We already have one son will be 19 this month, he is actually DP's brother but we have raised him since he was in kindergarten. His parents are both deceased. When we told him what we were doing he thought it was great and said that it would be good for a kid to know it's father and not spring it on them when the child turned 18, that you knew all along and didn't tell. So that helped us decide. He has never had a father in his life. So. . .we have decided that our donor can be involved but will have NO parental rights, not on birth certificate and will visit or have involvement at our comfort level. He can request anything but we have the right to say no if we don't feel comfortable with it. We have a contract that we all agreed on and we feel we will have no issues. He is very level headed and an all around great guy. He told us early on if we didn't want him to have any involvement then ok, he wouldn't tell anyone he was doing this. But if we decided it was ok, then he wanted to tell his mom. She has always wanted grandkids, and this is about the only way she will get any. Since otherwise this baby would have no grandparents other than from our family of choice, we thought this would be a good thing. So we are just extending our family.
We are praying that this totaly works this time. We will be AI'ing again tonight and tomorrow and the next day if needed.
Thanks for all your support!
It's hard getting pregnant, lesbian or not. My hubby has no sperm hence the donor route for us, but we dont fee comfy asking a known friend, we did talk about it, but it was complex, dh's mate said he would but then his g/friend said no!!! so we use a donor frm a sperm bank in london!
I totally understand you guys and the need for a baby!
My brother is Gay, and they would like kids too, they are are inneed of a lady to help, but no joy! My brother was also asked by a couple like ur selves, to donate sperm to them.... My brother and DP will adopt i think, it's early days for them so nothing happening right now!
All the best with 2nd AI tonight, did u decide on IUI or ICI!! ?? xx

We did ICI, but our kit that we ordered from NW cryobank, had not come yet. So we didn't have a catheter to get it in the cervix, so it landed just outside the cervix. Hopefully the kit will be here today and we can go in the cervix.
What was so interesting about our donor is that my DP and him worked together about a year ago but we get our hair cut by the same person. She (our hairdresser) asked him about a year ago if he had ever thought about donating and he said yes. So then she told him about us and he said well, just have them call me. So a year later we called him. I thought it would be uncomfortable but it really wasn't. OK, it was a little bit last night when he came over to make the "deposit". We just left him in the house, let him choose where he was most comfortable and me and DP took the dogs and sat on the porch outside. Thank God it was a nice evening.
I wish you and your DH all the success in the world. You seem like a really nice lady. Keep in touch and I will keep sending my updates.
Need an opinion. . . We still have not got a positive OPK. We are cd13, she has clear stringy CM, her cervix is open. Don't laugh, but I have been taking picutres (and croping them to only show the cervix) daily, so we can watch the changes. AMAZING!!!! She had a positive fern yesterday and a partial fern the day before. Her temp went down yesterday and back up today, but fertility friend.com seems to think there is a mistake in the temps. What I am saying is that everything shows O except the OPK. Is is possible we will still O without a +OPK??? We are having donor over again tonight to do another AI, I can ask him to come back tomorrow if we need to do it again but I have to work tomorrow so we won't be able to do it until 8pm. Thank goodness he only lives about 20 minutes from us. Yesterday we also used the cup that came with our home kit. Let me tell you that was a joke. The instructions said to place the cup in the cervix after insem, this is to help the "goods" stay in place and have no leakage. Well, the cup went in fine, not uncomfortable or anything, DP left it in for about 1 1/2 - 2 hours. It said not to leave longer than 4. When she pulled it out there was alot of "stuff" still in the cup. I don't know if it was his stuff or hers. OK . . .TMI moment . . . She did have an orgasm after insem. We have been told that helps the "swimmers". So really it could have been alot of her CM, but it really made me nervous. And with this no +OPK thing . . . I am just going crazy!!!!! I know what I saw with the cervix, it is totally open and has the right CM right there. The pictures are amazing! I guess I just need someone to tell me that she will still O and that we didn't mess things up last night by using the cup.
OK, sorry this is so long but I don't want to worry DP about all this so I have to talk to someone! thanks for listening!
Hi Amy & Sharon, I am so excited for you. I was just reading all the progress you are making and it is great. Remember only washed sperm with IUI. If DP is on a 28 day cycle then you should be getting a + OPK on day 13 or 14. Good luck and let me know what happens. I start AF on April 16th then start injections on 3rd day of cycle until follies are ready then we inseminate. Cant wait. I am so excited. Good luck to everyone and lots of baby dust coming your way.

We just did ICI, actually I only went into the cervix a tiny tiny bit. We did the 4 AI's and day 14 was the 3rd day. AF would be due on the 19th i believe. We are just keeping our fingers crossed. She has been really tired, but really nothing else. Hopefully this will be it. If not we will try again next month!
Good luck to you!!!!
