Zinc. . . haven't heard of that one. However I will keep it in mind, and let him know. He is a physical therapist and a health nut so i am sure if I tell him he will check it out.
Thanks for the info1

Geckogirl,

Your unusual period is something that happens to me in the last 8-12 months. It would usually start on the day 29-30 of my period, just a spotting, and the ugly brown discharge, and then a couple of days later the real flow would come. I am not on BCP though.
:)
Well, my period started today (finally) and it might be a day too soon. But, I have a doc appointment on Wednesday, so we’ll se what she has to say about it. Can anybody tell me for how many days will I have to take follistim and could that cycle be stretched for a day longer?

  :)

Amy and Sharon, good luck girls with your AI. I herd of this advice from my doctor, when trying to conceive sugars are not very good for the body. But, if you can stand the taste of beets it might be a perfect food (or juice) for satisfying the sweet tooth. :D
The sweet taste of beets reflects their high sugar content making them an important raw material for the production of refined sugar; they have the highest sugar content of all vegetables, yet are very low in calories

:D :D :D

CroElla . . thanks for the advise and well wishes. I will certainly tell DP about the beets. She does not have much of a sweet tooth but loves beets.

....Talking about beets; the Latin name for it is beta vulgaris…so to all of the girls waiting for that beta test soon…I guess all of us could start munching on beets…. :D

Hello Ladies,

Great idea with the beets!! I love them!! Thanks Cro Ella!

Amy/ Sharon, good luck to you both. Lots of sticky baby dust to you!!

Well for me, I went to the DR today and no cysts and BW was good. I start stims on Friday. It seems like so far away. I keep looking at the meds and I want to start NOW!!!

Steph and Jess, I hope you are both resting after EC.

To all the rest of us stimming now, hope you are all feeling OK and not too bloated and puffy.

PMA to all!!

Jackie - I'm glad to hear you're doing PGD. Great job on your bt and US! You'll be starting in no time!!

Steph and Jess - congratulation ladies!! 14 sounds great Jessica! Hoping you both are relaxing and getting plently pampered!! Image

Susan - Hope your bt results are good :D I think I'll be 1 or 2 days right after your ER. I've taken longer in the past to stim also. Sorry you're having to have extra shots! The main thing is that you have alot of follies. That's great! Sending the follie fairie to us both.

Charlie - Sounds like you have an excellent testing plan. I usually can tell if it has worked as well before I test. :) Sticky Sticky STicky BFP BFP BFP!!

Nicki - Hope Weds scan is fantastic. Sounds like you are good and bloated!! Send some of your follie dust my way :D I also get increased "motility" during these stims. Glad to hear others get it too. I'm going to start takign my iron again to slow it down!

CroElla - I'm so sorry for this added frustration. I hope they're able to start you now, But if not, don't get too frustrated. (actually get as frustrated as you need, you know what I mean) You will be stimming in no time even if you have a couple weeks of BCP to get through. Sometimes cycles do better with BCP so it is not necessarily just a "hurdle" and may actually enhance the cycle. We'll leave it to your clinic to decide and beilieve what is meant to be will be. You and Jovigal may end up very close together in your cycles.

Sher8 - Tons of luck and sending you the best sticky vibes possible for your ET. Your little frosty will be snuggling in so soon! How exciting. I think your the second April buddy to have embies transfered. When is your BFP test day? Remember, it only takes ONE!!!

Donna - I'm on day 4 of my cycle too. I'm expecting ER on April 8th or 9th. Sounds like you're having a great response if they are backing down on Follistim. The Lupron is not a stim med like Follistim and instead protects from ovulating early. I've had friends need to back down on their FSH meds because they were stimming so much. It's not uncommon. I totally agree that Easter is a perfect day for getting eggs!!! We will be at most a day apart. I'm already getting nervous!! Regarding 2 or 3 embies. Alot of things play into that decision. If you're doing a blast transfer they transfer less due to the higher pregnancy rates per embie. Also, depending on your past history and the quality of embies. Maybe if you have 2 superstar embies they could just transfer 2 and if the quality isn't as high, they could transfer 3. I can't remember all your past history. But, if you have a history of recurrent miscarriage they sometimes transfer more as well. I know my first RE felt being a poor responder was a good reason to transfer more than 2 and transfered 4 on our first cycle  We usually transfer as many as we get! Twin pregnancies usually do fine, it's triplets that are much more difficult. If you have a history of cervical incompetence or have had procedures done on your cervix ect that make it at risk for incompetence twins can be risky. O/W I say go twins go!!!

Jovigal - I'm soooo sorry :( Do they know why your prolactin is up? How frustrating :x We will be here for your whole cycle even if you have to wait a few weeks. Do something fun for yourself that you couldn't do if you were stimming. Image

Welcome Amy and Melly! Sending Sharon tons of sticky vibes!

Geckogirl - Good luck downregging. The bcp should help regulate your AF nicely.

US went well for me. I have at least 7 follies (righty hasn't been the same since the ectopic and used to be my star ovary :? Now he only has 2 follies) But, my RE is very optimistic and swears he will try to get us twins :D ER will either be Sunday or Monday!! I love doing this near Easter. What a perfect holiday for Egg hunting!!

YEAAAHHHH! STEPHANIE! That's wonderful news! 13 is GREAT! You must be so sore. Sorry you're not feeling well. Rest up now hon. You'll be bringing those embies back home soon.

Jackie: So excited to have someone stimming the same time as me. Good Luck Dear!

Baselines went fine. I have one simple cyst on my right ovary, but I had it last cycle too. It wasn't estrogen forming, so it didn't affect anything last time. They tested my estrogen today anyway, just to check it. I think it will be fine. First Lupron tomorrow a.m. I'm ready to get rolling.

hello ladies!

Jess, stephanie - congratulations!! you've both done so well and should be very proud of your follicles, rest up now!

I was really excited to go for my scan this morning as the Menopur seemed to kick everything into action and I had lots of tummy pains and bloating. I was really disappointed to see that my left ovary isn't playing ball and has really tiny follicles. My right overy only has 4 of a decent size (all around 11mm) plus a few little ones. I'm on day 11 of stimming!!! what is going on? i'm so fed up. My oestrogen level was only 767. They want me to start on the ganirelex and microdose tomorrow night but don't want to see me until Thursday. I'm really scared. Last time i got 25 eggs but only 4 were mature enough and we had a big fat ZERO fertilisation - it seems like we're following the same pattern this time.

sorry to be so down, just wish that there was something i could do to make things work.

please send the follie fairy over to the west coast, i need her

Love to all, Rebecca

I wanted to say congrats to Jess and Stephanie. I hope all fertilize for you!!!

Rebecca, I'm doing the follie dance for you. Hang in there, they're gonna surprise you and give you lots!

BWHD - sounds like you're doing good so far. Hopefully that's a nonfunctioning cyst. Let us know how your bw turns out. I know your anxious to get started.

Daly, sounds like your scan went well. Maybe you'll have a better response this time.

Well I started the Dostinex for my prolactin problem (only 2 pills a week). RE said he thought my elavated prolactin level is due to my last pg (not a tumor) so not to worry. He said my levels should go down in about 3 weeks. Sorry if TMI but the milk production has been quite bothersome. Too bad I couldn't have just adopted a newborn, I would have been able to breastfeed and put it to use.... :)

Hi Ladies,

Just wanted to post an update, EC went went well this morning at 7:30. RE collected 14 eggs and he will let me know tomorrow how many fertilized, I can't wait.

I was asleep the whole procedure the last thing I remember they took me to the operating room then the nurse helped me lay down put my hand on the rest board, the next thing I know I woke up in the recovery room. Right now I'm a little sore and sleepy from anesthia.

I hope everyone is doing well, I'm going back to bed now and rest..Talk to you all later..

This has been really rough for me. I am still hurting pretty bad and I get dizzy when I stand. I hope this goes away. Well we got the call and 10 fertilized. They are going to look at them again tomorrow on day 2 and see what is happening...if we still have 10 then we are waiting on a day 5 transfer. Last time we could not wait since we only had 1 8-cell on day 3. I am hoping for lots of grade A embies so we can have some snow babies. Wish me luck and I will check in again tomorrow I need to go lay down.

Hope everyone is doing OK!!! This is kicking my butt!

Congrats Jessica that is terrific...maybe you ca have some snow babies also!!!

Anie let us know tomorrow when you hear the news.
