Is anyone else getting headaches? I seem to be getting them daily...My doc had me start taking a combo of magnesium and riboflavin which she swears is a miracle cure, but I've been taking them for about a week and still have splitting headaches every evening. I take tylenol when they're really bad, but hate to take medicine even when it's been okay'd by the doc.
I was told that because of the varying hormone levels, the headches are going to happen. (I am having them too) They should ease up in the next few weeks, but make sure you drink a lot of water and do not miss meals, your body may be saying also that you may be hungry or dehydrated.
Sorry about your headaches. I too had headaches this time, but found they eased when I drank much more water and ate regularly.
Hope they ease off soon...

I get them too but not everyday and they always clear if I drink loads of water. I did have one really bad migraine at 7 weeks and I had to take paracetamol (same as tylenol) but it only took the edge of it.
Hope they get better soon.

Meg I am getting splitting headaches daily and its definitley not because of dehydration or not eating as I am drinking 3 litres of water a day and eatig small frequent meals. Most days I just put up with them - they come on about half past 3 and last all day. Today I took 2 paracetomol as soon as it came on and it has really lifted it but I don't want to do this everyday even tho paracetomol is safe. However when I get them the only thing I can do when I finish work is go home and put my feet up and lie on the couch as I feel so washed out.
Does anyone know if they disappear later in this trimester?
At least I know I'm not the only one suffering !

They're the worst, huh? I don't think that it would be humanly possible to drink more water than I currently am...and my food intake is decent, too. I guess we just have to grin and bear it. My doc did have me start taking 300 mg of magnesium twice a day and 300 mg of Riboflavin once a day....she claims that a neurologist told her it works for migraines/headaches every time. We'll see! I hate to complain about pregnancy side effects--I don't want people to think I don't want to be pregnant!
hi girls... i was there a few weeks ago... i found that NOTHING worked and most days ended up in bed with my head feeling like it was going to split open.. i got a ton of migraines, as i'm prone to them...
BUT THE GOOD NEWS!!!!!!!! they do stop... i'm almost 30 weeks and can say that i only get a headache at most once a week... so much better then the daily pain!! i think that they started to dwindel.. that is to say they started to become 5 times a week, then 4 times, then 2 times... i think that it started to get better around 18-20 weeks, not really sure... but there is light at the end of the tunnel!!!!!!
Headaches everyday at 16 weeks- oh yeah, I remember that very well. I did not take meds for it. My obgyn told me to increase protein intake (i am a vegetarian). So, I started eating little bit meat and peanut butter and that took care of it.
Awww... I'm sorry... headaches SUCK!
What's funny is that I used to get them everyday BEFORE I got pregnant. I believe it was due to my PCOS. But now that I'm pregnant, ZERO headaches. I think that's pretty shocking but I'm enjoying it for sure.
I'll get one every now and then but not too bad. Nothing compared to the ones I used to get before. They used to kill me!
