Pregnante with twins/ one is one week older then the other

Hi everybody,

Thanks god I got pregnant after IVF. They transfered two blatocyst and both lived and everything looks good until my scan yesterday, showed that one baby is much older then the other ( about one week). I'm know about 11 weeks, and the doctor told me that I might loose the smaller baby. My next scan is in 2 weeks. Anyone had similar experience. What will happen if I misscary one of the babies, will the other baby be okay? will I bleed?

So sorry your are worried about this! I really can't help but at 7 weeks my twins were 5 days apart size wise and they are both healthy at 12w5d. So don't give up hope!! It's normal that they don't always measure the same from what I understand. Did they both have strong hb's? I hope everything is fine and I will be praying for you and hoping your beanie #2 snuggles in for the long haul!

Hi Kimberly,

Thanks for your reply, and congratulations on your twins. The heart Beat is good for both of them: The bigger baby heart beat was: 176bmp and the smaller baby heart beat is: 183 bmp.
I hope everything will go fine too, my next U/S is on April 19, I hope the smaller one will continue to grow.
At the begining the were 4 days apart but now one week:(.

Nouna~ Your hb's sound great!!! Rest easy my friend, I have read that measuring different sizes is alright and my RE said he wasn't nervous about it at all! Now you just need to come join the Double Trouble thread we have going. Since you ARE expecting twins!!! Congrats!!!!!!
