Hi
I had another ultrasound today. I am waiting to hear back from the Nurse about my estrogen Level. They found 8 follicles ranging from 10 MM to 16 MM. They said the average is at 13 MM. Is that about Average??? The Nurse said my uterus lining is good.

Nurse thinks my ER won't be until Monday April 9th now. I am waiting for the nurse to call me back today about my estrogen level and what level of follistim to continue on.

How is everyone doing today?

Well the embryologist called this morning and said out of 10 we have 1-excellent/2-good and 3-average..the other 4 are poor. We have to do a day 3 transfer and it is scheduled for tomorrow at 12n. The reason they looked at them today is because last time we tried to wait until day 5 and almost lost them all ( we had a day 4 transfer). I only had 7, now that I had 10 they were going to try again for day 5, no such luck...day 3 it is. We are putting back 3 and I am hoping for twins.

I have a question...with the pregnant girls on here how many have had 3 day transfers and how many have had 5 day transfers???

I am kinda down I guess my high FSH is kicking my butt and making me have not so good quality eggies. I know it only takes one but 3 didn't work last time. Thank you girls for all the support and I kinda down right now...trying to stay positives. My babies are coming home to mommie tomorrow and there is no room for negativity.

Just wanted to wish you all the best on your 2ww! Glad to hear your ET went ok. Like you said, you have Siena to keep you busy, so dont have much time to dwell on things. I still remember what the 2ww was like 2 years on! Will be looking out for your news! Good luck!

Good luck to all of you going through treatment. Spring is the best time apparently to go through IVF, it appears to increase chances of it working!

Thanks for thinking of me Kim. I will say that the FET cycle is a lot less evasive than the fresh and I am hoping this works. Doc said it is 20-22% chance so our fingers are crossed. You are so right about it seeming like just yesterday.

As for all of us, I hope you are right about Spring being the best time!

How is Jenna? Siena is doing quite well and becoming more and more independent these days. I'll try to post a more recent photo on photobucket.com soon.

Nic - Wow 17 follies - I'm not surprised you are waddling! trigger Monday - that's great! Congrats!

Donna - how long have you been stimming for? they like follies to be between 18-22m to consider the egg mature - so I guess you have a few more days of stimming to go! They usually grow about 2mm a day! Good luck!

Karia - nice to hear from you - good luck down regging!

empmtb - How did it go today sweetie?

Susan - good luck with trigger!

Glad to see everyone is ok.

Nurse called me back, today is day 6 of my meds, no stimms yet today. I have an estrogen level of 1675. So in two days it went up by 900.
I am taking follistim tonight and I go back tomorrow morning. The nurse said it will be sunday or Monday for the ER. I am getting nervous.

Those that are on the 2ww, what are you doing to keep your mind off things?

I read an IVF book and it said in there more people get pregnant with IVF in the spring time than the winter!!!

Hi Ladies,

I hope everyone is doing well, as for me I'm pretty much back to 100% normal today after yesterday's EC, I went back to work today so far so good. I just got a call from my RE this morning he told me that out of 14 eggs collected yesterday 10 of them fertilized. We are so happy with the result, and keep praying that our 10 embies keep growing and their quality are good. My transfer scheduled this Friday (3 days) but if most of our embies survive till day 3 and the quality is also good we're doing 5 day transfer so that would be this Sunday, we keep praying, keep our fingers crossed and hoping for the best.

Sorry this is all for me right now, it's time to go back to work..I'll catch up to everyone when I get home tonight.

O well…I just came back from my day 3 lab + ultrasound appointment. My doc told me that I don’t have very many follicles and that she is worried about my progesterone level that was 6.5 (blood work on 03/14).
On top of that, she would prefer if we would start steaming tomorrow rather then today because she doesn’t want me to be ready a day before my lab opens again. The good news is (I guess) last time when I tested for FSH on day 3 of my cycle it was 4.5 and my estradiol level was 60. I know that FSH is all good under 10, but I don’t know what estradiol level should look like. I have to call my doc back today around 3:30 and if my FSH is low enough she is sending me to the lab tomorrow again and with some luck I will start steaming tomorrow.

I called my DH to tell him the news and after 10 minutes he called me back to tell me that he is glad that I’m being stingy with the follies because that means that I am saving some so we can get pregnant by surprise a couple years after this successful IVF. I love my hubby!!!!!

Croella - That's a great FSH! Wish I had that. I'm so glad you get to stim now. Yeah!!!

Steph - You have no reason to feel down on yourself. My BFN Dec cycle was sooo much better than the cycle I got my dd with. In Dec I had 8 eggs and 6 fertlized with 4 being excellent quality. Transfered all 4 and BFN. The next cycle I only had 6 eggs and only 2 fertilized (with ICSI!!!) and the those 2 were very poor quality (only 4 cells on day 3) and low and behold I had the most beautiful little girl I could have dreamed of. 3 is great and should have similar success to 1 blast day 5 transfer. There is nothing bad with a 3 day transfer. Alot of embies do better getting back with their mommy sooner. We'll be getting fat and happy with little tummy kicks very soon. WE WILL BE PREGNANT!!! Sending positive energy and prayers to your uterus. You're going to have 3 amazing little embies transferred tomorrow!!

Anie - What a great fertilization number. You must be so relieved. A 5 day transfer would be Easter! Perfect timing!!

Donna - I read that in Zita Wests book about spring/summer having higher IVF success. I always get pregnant in spring or summer - never winter. We may have the same ER day!!! I'm Sunday or Monday. What days are you taking off work. I'm finding it hard to plan for. Congrats on your lining. I hope my lining thickens up for tomorrows scan.

Jovigal - How are you shots going? Have youi decided on thigh or stomach?

Sher - Congratulations you're are "PUPO" as Charlie says. Get lots of love and pampering from dh. STICKY STICKY STICKY!!! BTW, i grew up in the northwest (Vancouver, WA) and would highly recommend retiring in Portland or hte Oregon coast. Where are you going on your vacation? Fall is great up there, but doesn't compare to New Englands fall (much better than LA fall though...)

BWHD - How are you feeliing? Is the infection clearing up?

Susan - I've also had a horrible head ache for the last 2 days. Can barely get on the computer today. Tylenol/acetomenophen is the same as paracetomol (last I checked) and fine to take during hte stim cycle. Unfortanelty for me, t's about as effective as throwing salt over my shoulder I'm sitting here with an ice pack on my head. I'm also using a nasosteroid which should help the allergy part of my headache. I'm afraid the darn progesterone doesn't help headaches Good luck on your trigger and upcoming EC!!! Hopefully the Pain killers they give then will take away all head aches!

Karia - Good to hear from you. Most US clinics tend to have people take aspirin until 2nd trimester and then beyond depending on lab results and different clinic policy. I took it until week 18 last pregnancy. Happy down regging!!

Nicki - Send your folly fairy over to LA for a bit would you?!? That is a fantastic folly number. My friend usually had 20-30 eggs and had major bloating as well, but no OHSS. Sher had great advice about staying well hydrated. At least you have a good excuse for wearing larger pants. I only have 7-8 follies and still can't fit into my clothes!

Jessica - Hope you are taking great care of yourself. Sounds like you are doing great. When is ET day?

Hopeful - I am so sorry to hear about your grandmother. I hope she gives my little girl a big kiss and snuggle from me. They will be looking over us both.

Big hello and babydust to everyone of the APril buddies I missed

Well I have a US and blood work tomorrow. Hoping my lining thickens up and behaves It was a bit thin on last check and has never been a problem in the past.

My friend at work just let me know she got a BFP on her 2nd IUI cycle. She has been trying since I started and in that time had a ds and is now working on baby number 2. I really feel I'm getting left behind. I don't have a single buddy outside of cyberspace I started this with who doesn't already have a wonderful baby with them and I'm missing my little girl terribly. I know I have to have faith, but I am feeling so tired lately.
