I'm feeling apprehensive today and I don't know why. We had our 2nd ultrassound yesterday and both babies had strong heartbeats. Does this mean my chance of miscarriage is lower? I'll be 8 weeks tomorrow. I'm just so nervous and jittery. Can someone make me feel better? I think I just need a good kick in the rear end.

Hi ladies,

Well I seen my little beanies today and they are doing great. Their gestational age is 12 weeks 4 days and 12 weeks 6 days but I will leave my ticker as it is. I am pleased that they are growing so well. They were great dancing about, waving hands, one holding his hands together as if he was praying for a sony playstation.

Their neck folds were 1.5mm and 1.8mm which is good apparently and shows no obvious risk of downs but I still have to wait for the stats which the obgyn will call me with tmrw morning. I think its measurements vs my age etc.

I see them again this Thursday at a scheduled scan. Todays was for nuchal fold only.

Lisa- Congrats on your great scan. You must be so relieved!

Rebecca- Once you see a strong heartbeat, the chances of a m/c drop dramatically. I would tell you not to worry but I know it's not that easy.

Of course, once you stop worrying about a m/c, you will start to worry about the nuchal scan. Then you will worry about preterm contractions, gestational diabetes, high blood pressure, etc. I'm sure once they are born, we will find a whole new set of things to worry about! It's just so nice to have babies to worry about instead of fertility issues!

I had a dr's appt today. My blood pressure was a little high, but no protein in my urine, so hopefully it was just a fluke. My dr said if I don't go into labor on my own, she will do my c-section at 38 weeks, which would be June 4. I can't imagine I will actually make it that far, but it's nice to know that the end is in sight!

Rebecca--My RE said that once you see heartbeats, the chance for miscarriage goes down to something like 20%....so you've got very good odds on your side. Just keep the positive attitude that got you here, and like LauraLou said--something is always going to keep you worrying. :?

Lauralou--Great news about your appt. I hope you can keep those babes in there as long as possible...keep em cooking!

Lisa--I'm glad your nuchal scan went well! Yeah!

Kimberly, good luck on your results. Keep us posted!

Thanks all for your kind replies it means so much. So when did you ladies carrying twins start to show a little belly. My doctor said that it will begin long before a singleton pregnancy does.

Good afternoon everyone! We just returned form our scan and I am bummed to report we don't get our results until I talk to them in a week. My fault due to the fact my OB was in surgery today and I came in an entire day late. I seriously thought today was the day for weeks. :? I think I have pregnancy brain! Everything looked great though and they were moving around like crazy!!!! They measured 12 weeks 5 days each and were right on target with everything they wanted to see. That will surely make my wait easier!

Lisa~ So glad your scan went well! We have a photo of one of ours clasping it's little hands as well! How funny! Wasn't it just great to see them? They sound like they are doing beautifully and I'm sure tonights sleep will be quite sound! Congrats!!!

Rebecca~ I was told at 9 weeks my m/c rate was less than 7%. You sound like you and the beanies are doing great so I wouldn't be worried. Ok, we can't help it, I know but I am glad to hear you are doing great!

Lauralou~ You date is going to be here so soon!!! Can't wait for you to be able to report on all the things as you get closer to bringing them home. Congrats on such a healthy pregnancy so far! Also glad to hear you aren't having any blood pressure problems. Keep up the nice lead on us!

Di and Tony~ Hey you two! Glad your are both doing well! I haven't really had much time on the interenet lately so I have been playing catch up today. Hope all is still cozy and well! Take care!

Off to a birthday dinner for my father in aabout 15 minutes but I wanted to say hello and report back! Take care everyone!!!!

I was told to start baby asprin before my transfer and to continue taking 81mg low dose asprin everyday. My question is if any of you ladies are also taking asprin how long will we be taking it for? I don't go back to my doctor until April 12th so I thought I would ask you ladies first.

Jeck, Thank you so much for taking time to send me that lovely message. I do remember you too.

Cla, Thanks for dropping by. How's that gorgeous baby of yours...ready for the next one yet?? Glad your doing well honey.

I seen my babies again today. This was my regular scan and booking in with the maternity section. I took my MIL as I thought she really needed a boost (my FIL died at xmas and she has been very low since). She doesn't have any daughters and her other sons wives don't bother much with her, which is a shame as she is lovely. Anyway, the babies were great. The bigger one was doing mexican waves and even turned to the screen a few times. It's a very lively baby. The other one is more demure. Moves but in a very casual, not demanding attention kind of way. I definitely think I have two very different characters here.

My blood pressure, etc was brilliant and she was impressed how little weight I had put on for such big babies and round belly. They are now nearly a week ahead in size already.

Lisa--I'm glad your scan went so well! That was nice of you to take MIL. I wish mine showed more interest....but no worries, my own mother makes up for it! I'm glad to hear you're doing well with the weight. I have no idea how much I've gained. I get on the scale backwards, so I don't have to see!
