I just tested on 3/16/07 and I had a 38 (8dpt5dt) and they wanted me to come back today- Monday 3/19/07.
did anyone else start off slow and go on to have a successful pregnancy? a little "i did, i'm ok" replies, would really make me feel better- esp for the wait today- until 11:30 am or so to get my results.
I know how it feels. The first time I did IVF my hcg was 24. It only went up to 26 after two days. So the next time I did IVf and I got a 48 I was still scared. I was hoping for something closer to 100, like a lot of girls I hear about. I was 13dpt3dt. I actually had a 82, but their machine was messed up.
Tons of girls got on and told me to be happy, I was pregnant and all that matters is that your numbers double. I am saying the same to you. 8dpt is very early to test so it seems understandable to me that it would be lower. Good luck today my prayers are with you, I know how it feels to worry about these numbers. My next number did not double fast enough for them so they retested me again 5 days later and it was torture, that time it had more than doubled twice so I hope you hear good clear news, it is hard when you are made to doubt and wait more.
Good luck!

The BHCG values REALLY vary, however... The suggested day 12 post transfer number seems to be around 100 to 150 +/- 20%. ( This is only learned from the many sites I have looked at on the net. ) Many will be out of this range and can still result in a live birth. The important thing is the doubling every 48 to 72 hours, think positive... Best of luck to all...
