Hello Jules

I was told to take day 1 from ET but some girls have been told from EC as that is when the eggs were fertilised. Each clinic has a different answer. It is deffo not from your last period.

Yes, you must keep up the fluids as you could still get OHSS. It's Bl**dy hard to drink when you feel sick but you must try to.

Look after yourself

Love Dagny x

I was told to count 2 weeks back from ET. So although i only had my ET on 26th Nov, i am actually 4 weeks and 5 days pregnant(mon).
So, technically you are 2 weeks pregnant before you even had ET, but this is correct, as most 'normal' conceptions count back from the last period anyway and conception would have occured up to 2 weeks after that period.

So, if i remember rightly you were a day ahead of me, so you are 4 weeks and 6 days pregnant today and when you have the scan on 2nd jan you will be 7weeks and 3 days.

Just copied this from my book about dating a pregnancy :'This means that at conception, the unborn child is already considered two weeks old!'

hope this helps.
helenx

[Edited by helenlouise on 15-Dec-03 07:35]

I was told by the ARGC to count 2 weeks back from egg collection for a fake first day of last period. So my egg collection was June 12th. Fake last period was 30th May. I trist ATGC with everything. The obstetrician who's looking after me at my local hospital agrees with this. It makes no sense to use embryo transfer, which can be 2, 3, 5 or even 6 days after fertilisation with IVF!! Egg collection day is the same as ovulation day, and 'natural' pregnancies are calculated from 2 weeks before O!! Many congratulations. I bled the first 12 weeks of my pg, and with red blood pouring out at 6 weeks, 3 days before my scan, we though it was all over for us.
Lori, 28 weeks + 4 days with twins!!

Hello all

Sorry girls I have just re read my answer and have realized I forgot to put that day one is 'TWO WEEKS BACK' from ET! I am such a fool. It does pay to read back what you send. I blame it on pregnancy hormones. I have done some very daft things recently. I timed a jacket potato in the oven only to find when the buzzer went I hadn't even put it in the oven!!

I am not thick really!

Love Dagny x
