Has anybody out there taken or been advised to take this new drug for successful embryo implantation? I have been advised that I should consider taking it during our next ivf cycle, but after failiure no. 3 am unsure whether I can go there again, let alone take some uknown/unheard of drug.

hi daisy<br><br>who has told you to take this drug, if it is your clinic they might have more info on it.<br><br>I went on a trial at bourn hall taking the new drug lif, icsi was the same but i injected the drug after et. Sorry to say it did not work but some one has to be the first.I would not take anything that the clinic have not told me to, you do not want it to stop the drugs working.<br><br>well sorry I have not helped much, I know what it is like you just want to try anything.If someone had told me standing on your head eating an apple after et would help, I would of done it.<br><br>well would like to wish you luck with your next tmt.<br><br>from july ann
been in tmt for 4 years.Male factor. Have had 3 icsi, one ivf with donor sperm.Went for fet with 7 eggs but none made it to blastocyst. just had 5 DI. test date 27 july

Hi Daisy - I was advised to take Humira part way through my last cycle (at least, I'm 90% sure this was the drug I was given!). Its largely untested with regard to IVF but there's a theory that it can reduce the likelihood of your body rejecting the embie. Its mainly used to treat arthritis, I think, so its "safe" although, as with all drugs there are a whole list of possible complications, but I had none. It was just one injection, but I think usually you have two, a couple of weeks apart. <br><br>Alison
