As for me, I am only on day 3 of stims and I am bloated!! I go tomorrow morning for my US and BW to see how many there are. Hopefully there will be enough for a FET too just in case!! I know this is a long journey for all of us, but we will do this together. You al are so great to have here to talk to.

So how are all my April buddies??? Things are OK here but the wait is already killing me. I am very crampy, my back hurts and not very bloated anymore. IT is almost like AF is coming but she never comes…knock on wood. She better stay away!

Donna~Congrats on your trigger shot. Mine did not hurt at all and I did not get a bruise. I bruised with all the other shots but not that one. I am sure you did it right don’t worry!

Jessica~Now you are on the dreaded 2WW…I hate it! I have already decided I will be taking a HPT about 2 days early. I have done tons of research on the internet to see which on is the best and most sensitive. It seems that First Response Early Result can tell before all the other and is the most reliable. Consumer Reports and CBS say so…LOL

Marsxp~Welcome…I was on BCP for 4 weeks both times. They stink but they do have a purpose. IVF is hard but well worth it. You will be very bloated, cry alot and the shot are slightly painful…oh and you bruise. I swear it is not as bad as it sounds. Good Luck!

Charlie~Almost there…are you going to test early??? I just know it will be BFP!!!

Rebecca~Boobs…well mine are sore but not has bad as when I was stimming or right after the trigger…now they are just alittle sore the cramps are what is killing me. I hope you are OK…I have been praying for you every night! Good Luck!!

Hi Ladies,

Just a quick update for me - My ET is going to be tomorrow instead of today..HUH!!! My doctor called me this morning and told me that 1 excellent quality embyo reached the blastocyst today and the remaining 4 excellent quality embryos are not quite ready for blastocyst stage today, so he recommended that it's best to wait for another more day so they can select the best embryos for implantation. I'm a little bit disappointed but i guess my clinic know what thier doing.

Has anyone had a 6 day trasfer?

stephanie, thanks for your prayers. Sorry to hear your feeling crampy - i'm hoping that's a good sign and you and Charlie will be two of the first to get BFP's on our group. sending you a whole bunch of sticky stuff.

Hopeful, I'm sorry to hear that you are going through the same as me - it sucks. I've never heard of follicles starting to divide at 12/13 so that scared me a bit - does anyone else have experienec of this? let's hope we can both me wednesday girls this week and that the follies are like wine and just get better with age (wish I could actually believe that!).

Nicolamark - sorry to hear you're so bloated but I'm sure that's a great sign, I'm on day 17 and can't even say I'm that uncomfortable.... just balck and blue with bruises.

Donna, on my last cycle I didn't get a bruise from the trigger and it didn't hurt anymore than the Ganirelex or Menopur - don't worry, I'm sure you did everything right. Good luck with the EC.

Good luck for this week, I'm thinking about you. Did you decide to test before your birthday??

Anie, hope the transfer went ok, let us know how you are? sticky stuff to you too!

thanks to everyone for the boob advice, I'll stop worrying about that and stick to trying to keep positive about my follies. Next scan tomorrow.

Happy Easter!!

I'm so behind and wanted to check-in wiht my great April buddies. We did the hcg shot last night and have ER tomorrow at noon!!! Donna, we have almost the same number of eggs and same ER day!!! They are estimating 12 eggs and 8 mature - I think?! My Et is scheduled for Thursday. I thought it was supposed to be Wed. I hope that is still a day 3 transfer. I don't trust my embies to last longer than the minimal since I get so few. I'm suddendly getting very nervous about not doing well and trying to banish those negative thoughts. My lining is not nearly as thick as usual and he attributes this to last months septectomy. Hoping last minute acupuncture will help. The acupuncturist will alo come to th clinic and poke me before and after transfer. It's supposed to be great. We'll see! Getting ready for the first of many IM shots with progesterone ICE ICE and more ICE

Sending tons of sticky vibes to 2ww'ers, folly fairy to stimmers and I'll be thinking of you during your transfer tomorrow Anie!! You'll be PUPO!! and next to join our 2ww'ers. It's all getting very exciting now. Only 2 days left Charlie - our first April buddy to go!!!!

How daly, sounds like you're doing great to be a low responder. I only had 5 total retrieved last time but only 1 was mature enough to fertilize. Good luck with your trigger shot and ER tomorrow!

I'm soooo behind I feel like. For all of you on 2ww now, I send you lots of PMA and patience!

I have no clue what my prolactin level is now. RE won't do labs until my day 3 labs at the end of the month. The nurse assured me that the meds will work and that I shouldn't come in for labs before. But my question is, since I'll be starting to stim on day 3, and they check my prolactin level that day but won't get the results for 2 days, shouldn't I get that checked BEFORE day 3 comes??? I couldn't get the nurse to understand that. I don't want to pay for stims for 2 days and then RE cancel my cycle because my level is too high..... ??????

Hi everybody!
I am about to start my ist IVF cycle. I start Lupron on April 17th and I thought it would be a good idea to join in with all of you. I am hoping that you all will be able to give some encouragement and that I will be able to lend some to all of you also. My husband and I suffered an ectopic pregnancy in March 2005 and have been unable to conceive ever since. Through tests and laparoscopy as well as CLomid with IUI's (6 of them), we were referred to an IVF clinic. I have 2 open but sluggish tubes, had many adhesions (dr. believes from a extreme bout of irritable bowel syndrome) and was just diagnosed PCO (not PCOS).
I am a little concerned with my estradiol levels. The clinic said that they are fine but I read that anything over 80 on day 3 is indicative of diminished ovarian reserve or a functional cyst and also that it maske the FSH level making it appear lower than it actually is. My estradiol level is 110 and FSh is 5.1. Does anyone know if this is normal. All other levels are normal.
I want to wish all of you the best of luck through all of this and hope that all of us receive good news soon. I can't wait to hear from all of you!!!!

Welcome Cori~ I am on the dreaded 2WW (2 week wait). I had 3 great quality embryos transfered last Thursday and I test on April 16th. This is my 2nd IVF and it must work. I am not sure I can go through this again. You need to prepare yourself mentally for this, it is hard but if pregnant it is well worth it. Good luck and if you have any questions please feel free to ask. This thread is a wondeful way to learn and the ladies here are wonderful and I could not have gone through this again without them.

Donna - We are on the exact same cycle!! Nearly same time and everything! We are definately doing ICSI. I also want to do assisted hatching because it got us BFP last time. But, my RE said we will look at the shell before deciding. I guess there are some risks involved?? The shot went well last night. I always get very nervous towards the end. HAving to do it at the exact time and all! I'm sure I'll do something wrong, but so far so good. They had me do 2 shots because he likes to be absolultley sure it will work! Nothing tonight feels very weird. Sending you Great Retrieval wishes. ARe you going to work Tu and Wed? I'm planning to. I wasn't sore last time.

Hi everyone,
I have been reading all the posts just is so hard to get time to write to everyone, between u/s and bw everyother day i am so tried we have to travel about 2 hours each way for these test.
I have very sore boobs too DH brushed pass me yesterday and it killed me and i nearly killed him, i feel really horrible at the moment because i just can not explain to him how i am feeling cause i just have no patients at the moment and i am not a good one to open up at the best of times.
This site is the only thing keeping me sane at the moment.
I took my trigger last night and am booked in for EC tomorrow tue at 7.30am and am so scared its making me cranky when everyone is saying i should be excited.
Last scan was yesterday and i had 19 follicals all ranging in size from 14mm-24mm does this mean EC will be very painfull?
Also how long does it take to get over EC, EC is making me so worried i dont want to get them out?
Hope i am justing thinking the worst so all will be ok but would really love some info.

I am so behind…And just came back from our little Easter trip to LA. So, Happy Easter to everyone who celebrates, and I hope that the rest of you had calm and nice weekend.
I am on day 4 of steaming. My regime is: 250 IUI for the first 3 days and 200 IUI today…so, I thought that I will have to open another ampoule of Follistim 900 IUI…but a pleasant surprise came…I set the pen on 200 IUI expecting that it will stop on 50 but it went all the way to the zero and it looks like I still have at least 25 IUI of Follistim left in that ampoule. Did that happened to anyone else????
I am reading that you girls are all so sore and bloated from the medicine; I don’t know if mine still didn’t kick in or something is wrong with me, because I am not particularly bloated nor am I cranky and my boobs file fine. Maybe the medicine is not working????
Charlie, I think of you a lot, and I will be thinking about you especially on Tuesday…Hang in there girl, we need you pregnant and jolly to lead us to our happy pregnancies.

My doc appointment is on Tuesday morning (ultrasound and blood test) so I will know more about my follies count then.It is our 9th anniversary on Tuesday, so I’m kind of expecting a nice gift from my kids (hehehe)
