JUST WONDERING IF ANYONE HERE GOT THEIR BFP WITH A FET? LOOKING FOR SOME GOOD VIBES AND POSITIVE THOUGHTS! I JUST WENT THROUGH A M/C....BUT WE HAVE (2) FROZEN EMBIES LEFT AND I CAN'T LEAVE THEM THERE......I DON'T EVEN KNOW IF THEY'LL SURVIVE THE THAWING.......BUT I WANT TO KNOW THE PRO'S & CON'S OF DOING A FET CYCLE VERSES THE NORMAL IVF ONE.

WISCONSINGAL, we got our BFP after our first FET. Some of the benefits are that you have far less hormones in your body so allowing the implantation to occur will be easier. I wish you luck and say go for it!

Hiya

I got a BFP on my first FET (after a failed fresh cycle). My clinic only puts one embie in at a time. On the thaw one didn't survive and one did....now I'm prego.

I found the FET an awful lot easier than the fresh cycle, the stress just does not compare! I would definately give FET a go it works for heaps of ladies.

Good luck and i am so sorry for your M/C.

Hi,

FET was great! After a failed first fresh cycle, I had 4 frozen embryos. Only 3 survived the thaw. BUT - it worked. And as others have said, FET is easier on you since you aren't full of as many hormones/drugs as a fresh cycle. Your ovaries are nice and calm - not swollen from the meds. It's more comfortable overall.

I wish you success. Don't give up on your little frozen ones. Lots of us have had BFPs from them.

Good luck!

Wisconsingal...I'm so sorry for your loss. Although I went through my whole cycle prepping for a fresh cycle, I ended up having 1 fresh and 1 frosty transferred and now I'm pregnant with twins! DH and I refer to them as Freshy and Frosty.

Good luck with your FET cycle, I do hear it's much less intense than a fresh cycle.

hugs,
Ange

Wisconsingal..
I went through 3 fresh cycles with bad results the first time, but great results the 2nd 2 times but it didn't work. I would also get mild hyperstimulation problems because they would have to get my E2level up so high. Anyways, I had 2 frozen and transferred then it. Like everyone said, it is much less hard on the body. For some reason they couldn't get my lining up past a 6-6.5 and I was loosing hope, but we decided to go for it, and it still worked!!! Good luck

THANK YOU ALL FOR TAKING THE TIME TO REPLY!!!! I CAN'T SAY ENOUGH HOW THIS BOARD HAS HELPED ME THROUGH ALL THESE DIFFERENT STAGES. I'M ONLY IN WEEK 2 AFTER THE M/C SO I'M NOT READY TO PROCEED WITH ANYTHING YET......I HAVE TO LOOSE SOME WEIGHT AND JUST REGAIN SOME NORMALCY TO MY LIFE.

WE HAVE (2) FROZEN EMBIES LEFT......AND I THINK OF THEM EVERYDAY. I'M PRAYING MY DH & I CAN PROCEED SOMETIME DOWN THE ROAD AND WITH THE HELP OF GOD HAVE SOME SUCCESS.

Again, I am so sorry for your news. It such a disappointment.

I had a negative fresh cycle and went back for the FET and I am currently pregnant. Yes, they do work. By all means go for it. You can not not try with your frozen ones waiting there.
I wish you all the best....When you are ready to try you will know. Best of Luck
