Hey jenjen I start the same meds 2 days later... My RE says that only 1 day of bedrest with getting up only to potty and eat. After that it is the take it easy and resume daily activity with no lifting and all that jazz for the remainder of the 2WW.

We did 3 FET's. The first 2 I did 2 days of bed rest and then went back to work. And that resulted in 2 BFN's. The final FET I did 4 full days of bed rest and ate pineapple starting a few days before the transfer and for several days following (someone told me pineapple was the trick) and we finally got the BFP we waited soon long for. I don't know if it was the bed rest or the pineapple, but I plan on doing the exact same thing this time around. Can't hurt, right??
Now, more on the pineapple thing.... It wasn't just sucessful for me. A good friend of mine who lives in my area also had 2 BFN's and on her 3rd attempt heard about the pineapple trick, tried it, and got her BFP. There's some ingredient in it that makes the uterine lining sticky. Has anyone else heard of this????
So I plan on laying in bed and eating pineapple for a few days and we'll see what sticks? Sound good to anyone else? Good luck to all!!!

Ladies, do you mind if I join you? I have learned so much from these boards and would like to share some things that I am doing in this cycle. It seems like I will be on a similiar cycle as Tanu and Vlada. I am scheduled to do a FET on 4/26/07. I have three frostie, all 8 or 9 cells, and the plan is to transfer all three. This will be my 4th attempt... sadly all has been BFN, but this time I am taking a more agressive approach. Currently, I am on baby asprin and heprin, estrogen patches, starting PIO on 4/23 and as an adjunct, I am doing fertility accupuncture twice per week until 4/27. I will do one session the day before FET and one session after my 24 hrs of bedrest, after I will take it easy for the next 7 days. Accupunture is totally relaxing, plus it should increase the blood flow to ther uterus which will aid in implantation. I have also heard that pineapple helps... so I am eating atleast 5ozs of pineapple daily. Additionally, since this will be my last attempt at this, I will be doing assisted hatching (AH). At my clinic, there is a higher pregancy with AH.

About me.. I am 39yrs.. DH is 43. Married for 16 yrs... ttc for 12. male factor IF and positive Antiphosilid Antibodies that makes implantation difficult.

Good luck to all.. :D this will be our year!

So I got my baseline u/s this morning and they found a small cyst on one ovary. My RE said we could proceed if my estrogen levels weren't elevated. Has this happened to anyone else? I thought you couldn't do IVF with a cyst. I am sooooo hoping that this cycle isn't ruined!!!

Hi Ladies, I've been reading your posts and I'm just now posting myself on this thread. Thanks for all your support for me - even though you didn't know you were giving it. I am scheduled to start the PIO shots on Friday after my Wed. ER. It seems like some people start the night of ER. I don't want to start too late b/c traditionally my lining is a little thin. This IVF cycle (my first) my lining actually cooperated at 9mm, but I don't want it to thin out. Thank you.

Wannabeone - Glad you are joining us! Everyone here is so helpful and supportive. It is good just to know you aren't alone.

My Dr. called with my bloodwork and my estrogen is normal so we are going ahead with this cycle! I am so excited! They said that the cyst they saw this morning on u/s will probably resolve on its own before I start stims. Anyway, I should be starting stims next week (around the 20th) and if all goes well EC and transfer will be the first week of May. Anyone on the same schedule?

My2LnT - I guess we will be going through much of the same stuff at the same time. What protocol are you using? I am doing BCPs until next week and will then start with Bravelle and Repronex for 10 days or so. I also will use Cetrotide starting day 7 or so to stop me from ovulating before retrieval. Being older they don't want me to use Lupron but I am not sure why. Guess they don't want my ovaries too sleepy. At my age, they may not wake up! Keep me posted on how you are doing.

hi

Post by marsxp »

im a newbie here and i found this site very interesting and full of useful information... however the downside of it is threads can easily go to about 40+ pages and for newbies like me, its hard to get in and learn about stuff without reading from the start...

what i did was create a forum where we could categorize the threads so they arent smacked in one thread... i know sometimes we get off topic....

please visit it and register at

www.ladiesttc.freeforums.org

it will be ivf dedicated forum that aims to inform and educate women base on personal experiences from those who has gone through IVF already....

thanks and hope to see you there....
