BAD NEWS!!!
Hi Nicky - just wanted to share my OHSS story too. I developed it first time round AFTER EC and ET, although I was feeling pretty terrible leading up. I ended up in hospital for 3 days on a drip but then it slowly subsided with no lasting ill effects. (BFN too I might add!)
You are so right that your health it totally more important than anything so take things slowly, do what the dr's say and you will get well soon.
If you ARE prepared to try again, take comfort from the fact that you DO respond well and develop lots of eggs and they will be able to adjust your meds next time, having learnt from how you react.
You may have read me a few weeks ago - on my 2nd attempt when they lowered the dose to try and avoid OHSS - it took me 4 WEEKS! to get to EC but I did it eventually and got a nice 13 eggs (rather than a silly 20 plus which is TOO many!) I was fine, recovered really quickly from EC and ET and it was a breeze. (Still BFN though).
So look after yourself and take some time out for you, and then you will know what to do next.

Im much the same, still scared by IVF and not sure what the future holds!!! Have clinic appt later 2day, to check levels of Estrogen and scan to see ovaries are ok...... OMG i wonder if they could still do EC if everything is calmer!!!!

No chance of EC...
Still poorly, but on the mend.... E2 levels at 30,000 today so its dipping!!

and all of our many adopted and foster children that touch our lives
and i am glad to add that our 6th grandchild will be born this spring!!!!

Nicky, I am so sorry to that they cancelled you! How frustrating to go through all the drugs for nothing! Its such a shame that the UK has the freezing laws as they otherwise may have been able to go ahead with egg collection?

Thx girls, I couldnt go for EC, i was too ill, if i had of, i would of pobably got BFN or miscarried.... It was for the best in the long run!!
We are looking at holidays now, need to cheer up, we'll have a consultation too soon, to chat it all over.
