Hi Everyone! I have missed a few days, but I am trying to catch up with everyone's news!

Shantala!!! Welcome back my dear!!! We have missed you. Glad you are doing well!

Tanya...So the first injection didn't go so bad, right? I didn't realize your ER/ET were so soon. I think are the first one out of our group...to get a BFP!!!! :D

Well, as for me...I finally got an appt to see a Hemologist. I go in Monday for labs and then on Thursday for my consult. So I am excited about finding out the results and getting a plan.
The weather here is great...somewhere in the upper 70's, low 80's. My nephew's birthday party is tomorrow and he will be 2!!! Sometimes (depending on the mood I am in) it is difficult to be around other families with children/babies, because I want to be in that same situation. I am sure this feeling is something other women experience when they are dealing with infertility. Anyways, enough about me...
Hope everyone else is doing well. I will try to catch up with everyone else later!

hey tanya - congrats on the first shot, the first one is always the hardest !!

Angela - sorry you're feeling a little negative and I guess we all go through that at some point, its only natural especially when you've been through such a tough time before, but thats what we are here for to support each other and listen to the rants and raves.

I was similiar at the start of my 2nd cycle and really found the strength to be positive from the girls on the threads - i also found that as the dates got nearer to start, I got more excited that my dream was only around the corner and that kinda of got me going again.

Shantala - how was your MIB?? Hey don't worry about the appt - you didn't mess me around at all - I just wanted to give you the chance of grabbing it before any one else. You know we were talking of other clinics, finally got some info on ARGC in London - did you mention that they had an open evening ?? It wouldn't be for the next cycle (and hopefully shouldn't need it at all but always like to have contingency plan me!) Oh and have fun trying the natural way - what a miracle that would be :D

Hey Nicky - nice to see you here - how are you - are you feeling any better? I'm hoping for a May/June start too - every thing is now dependant on May's AF showing when she should! Take care honey - thinking of you.

Jenn - can i ask - what is a Hemologist?? I find it difficult too being around babies & families although I tend to be ok with immediate family - keep strong - one day it will be you.

hello to everyone else - hope you all have a fab sunny weekend.

Angela - we all have our up and down days. I burst into tears last Monday in the supermarket and was not even sure why. They will have learn loads about you from cycle 1. They will be watching carefully and chaging things to take into account what they learn from the 1st try. We are here if you need to vent or to help pick you up hun. Wish it was $800 rather than £800!!!!!!!!!

Shatala - YEAH. You are back and rearing to go. Totally understand the need to min-break. I did that over Xmas and had to check out for a couple of weeks. It was taking over my life and my head. So pleased that you are back. We live about 20 mins drive from Hammersmith. If that is one of the clinics that you are thinking of in london then pm me with any questions. I have a good friend at the bridge clinic too and another who was at harley st fertility centre. I am on route to argc as you know so I have a few of them covered and have found out about others so let me know if i can help at all

Tanya - yeah - you are going to lead the way. How are you feeling? Well done on getting on your way 8)

Nicky - good to have you here. I have seen what a very hard time that you have had. I so hope that you are feeling better. Hugs. I have no idea when i will cycle next. A month of tests ahead of me at new clinic. Then they wait for a good month - low FSH level. Could be May but could take another 3 months (or even more) before I get the green light. Let's wait together???

Jen -What is hemelogist - is that a specialist of some sort? some days i am fine with little people around me - other days i just cannot take it at all. Really depends. But we all have days when it feels hard and we are - why isn't that us? i hate seeing my dh with children as that breaks my heart. Try to stay strong. Will be you soon. Hope you manage to enjoy the party tomorrow for your nephew

Jackie - sorry that it has taken me a while to answer your question. i was told that the wait list for an initial appointment at argc was at least 3 months. I am old so need to get on with it! So we filled in all the forms for argc before we did cycle 3 at hammersmith. it was my back up plan - sounds like we both like a plan!! my dh dropped them in as he works near by. My acu guy told us to ask for a cancellation. Not sure whether it did any good but we got an appointment in about 5 weeks time. Was so mad that we did ec for go 3 one day and were at argc the following day! No way that having got an appointment that I was going to turn it down. It was £50 to hold an appointment and then another £100 on the day. My mum said that if we did not need that she would give us the £. :? Then I had to wait at least 2 AFs between cycles but i did not lose any time at all which was really important for me. This is last chance saloon for us (probably) with my eggs. If you have questions then please feel free to pm me and i'll let you know based on what i have found out so far. It is very ££££££ and rather intensive and chaotic but the people that i have met at the clinic are all so lovely and friendly. For me if i did not go there i would not have felt that we had done everything that we possibly could

Hugs to everyone else. Have a great weekend.
Take good care.
Lots of Love to you all.
Carolyn

Hello!!!
Well first of all, I meant to type Hematologist. Hematologists are physicians and researchers who specialize in blood diseases. Since I tested + for Factor 2 thromobophelian test (in other words...blood clotting disorder), my RE wanted me to see a Hematologist for further consultation. Apparently it is very common for this to occur with women experiencing chemical pregnanies...which is what happen to me on my first cycle.

Hello everyone!

Things are going well for me. I had a full body massage today and it was wonderful. I am again up at all hours due to this working at night thing. I have tonight off-can you tell? hehehe Up all night... Oh well. Anyhow then I went to dinner with my DH and it was very nice and all homemade foods. Very different kind of restaurant. My spotting has slowed since taking the Lupron. Now I just hope AF comes on time. Sure first I dont want any bleeding and then I do. My DH says that I am a finicky Beotch! He is sooo funny when it comes to female problems. He teases me about it all the time. Saying how expensive AF's visit is. The chocolate and salt products as well as all of the feminine products!!! he is so funny I just love him so much.

Carolyn-Thank you for the vote of confidence! BFP! I sure hope that is the result. I really do after going through all of this. I want it so badly. As we all do.

Nicolamark-Hello! I hope that you are well today.

Jen-You have such great weather. We have a few more months before ours shapes up like that!!! I am waiting patiently though. The first injection was not bad at all. It is just the initial poke. Its like the self preservation thing in my brain yells out DONT POKE YOURSELF! LOL

Shantala-How is your MIB going? WEll I hope. We all need a little break every now and then. I really needed one after the m/c and BFN from the FET. It took me a while to be able to look on these boards again. It can get hard.

Arizona-thanks for the comments on my page. I had fun doing it. My family loves to go and look at the boys as they grow. I have not finished my semester yet. I have one paper to write and then on May 1st spring classes start. uugghghg. Oh well. I really like the graduate classes. Much better than undergrad. Not so many frilly classes that mean nothing. They all pertain to my specialty so it is good for me. Thanks for asking. Your days are coming up fast here baby! Hang in there that is why we are all here to support each other in the good times and bad.

Hi Everyone,

I am new to posting on this board and was hoping I could join you. I have tried to read all the posts and catch up. I am in a similar situation as most of you. I tried 3 IUI’s last year and all were negative. I did my first IVF in Nov 06 and it was also negative. I did my second IVF in March 07 and it was positive. However, I had a m/c at 5 weeks, 2 days. My DH and I were devastated. We finally thought our luck was turning around. The RE says the next step is to try FET in a couple of months (I’m thinking June). We have 6 frosties (2 from the first cycle and 4 from the last cycle) and all are good quality. She says we will put back 2 again (like the first two cycles) unless they don’t thaw so well and in which case we will do 3.

My sister-in-law just gave birth to her son on Wednesday. I am trying so hard to be happy for them but it just makes me think of what I lost. We went to the hospital yesterday to see them. When I held him, it just made me more determined to have my own. Also, it’s hard too because it is my DH’s younger sister. We both thought we would have kids first as he is the oldest. Thanks and I hope to get to know all of you.

have not posted in forever. Sorry:(
I read your posts almost every day, but seem to be a loss for words lately. I too have had the up and down emotions...excited...scared...ugh!!!
Told my sister that this cycle is even harder than the first one. I looked at the first one as if it happened great, if not we would cross that bridge. Fortunately for us, it worked and we have a wonderful 2 year old.
Now I look at it as if it doesn't work, we have just flushed $15K down the drain of her college money. Is it horrible to look at things that way?
My question to you guys...I have been on continuous BC pills since january or February (can't remember when I started). After I had my polysectomy I had a period, which was pretty normal. It was partially my fault because I got off on my pills.
Anyhow, I have been very faithful to my pills for the past 4 weeks, never missing one, and I started bleeding pretty heavy today. Do you think that something is wrong? I am going to keep an eye on it over the next few days and call my clinic. I hope this is not a sign.
I saw that Jen (I think) is from Texas. Can I ask where about?
I hope you are all in good spirits, and things are going well for everyone.
I do think of y'all every day :)

Hi hrobinson! I am sorry that you are feeling down! I know that it is hard to stay positive sometimes, but you have to look forward not back! And you cannot think of spending your money that way...people in our position would spend any amount of money to have a baby of our own.
The answer to your question is that I live southeast side of Houston. Where in Texas do you live?
I am not sure that answer to your other question about your period, partially because I don't know what a polysectomy is. It sounds like you are just having a heavy period...but what do I know. Sorry I couldn't be anymore help.

Thanks for responding Jen779. I live in North Central Texas. Looked to move to Houston once, but decided that was not where God was directing us to go.
A polysectomy is simply when they go in and remove polyps within the uterus. If you have polyps this could effect you becoming pregnant. So, we are just trying to do everyhing possible to get us a BFP:)
I am just concerned about having a period, as I am not supposd to have one. I'll just keep an eye on it and call the doctor Monday. Maybe I am becoming immune to my BCPs...not sure that can happen.
You are right about people willing to do anything to have a baby. I shouldn't have posted about m doubts with the money and everything. Especially since I am so blessed to already have a daughter. everything just seems to go through your head all at once. I need to just stay positive and know that I WILL get another BFP:)

hrobinson...I just read on another thread that you also have endo!! I didn't realize that we had the same dx. I can't remember if I read that you are or aren't going to have lapro sx again??? When is your cycle beginning?
It has been 6 months since my last lapro...do you think that it decreases my chances b/c it has been 6 months since my sx?
