Traci,s update

Post by Traci »

Well guys I felt sick going to the clinic today as I have only just come to terms with my negative 3 weeks ago, but once we had chatted about the cycle I felt better knowing that they think it was most probably embyo quality that was at fault. anyway they want me to do a series of cromozone bllod tests as well as cameron and more FSH tests and willl go back for a further consultation in March , if My tests are all ok and FSH is lower that 10 then we will have one more go with my own eggs if not we have already been put onto the donor egg list which will take a year to 18 months to get a donor or go for donor embryo which would be strait away as they have loads , this does appeal as there would be no stress as reguards waiting for someone to produce follis and fertilising etc cause its already done ! its like adoption but you make it yourself! :) anyway thats my news for now , I have not been able to get on site lately and would like to say sorry if I havent been there for all of you .

Trace x

Hi there Traci

Really interested to hear your news re the chromosone tests. You are so tenacious and determined, I really admire you. I know that the ARGC wanted me to have chromosone testing at the same time I had my D&C done, but the hospital for some reason were unable to do it so looks like I too will be going for these in the new year following my consultation with Mr T on the 16th. Traci, i have this weird feeling that we are destined to go into the third trimester and beyond together some day. Maybe this is why I'm back here, as you weren't ready to come with me yet(not blaming you though)!!

Dolly, you and me in the same boat this month. Life is really s*** sometimes. Still at least we can drink loads over Xmas and eat soft cheeses, whch is a good thing as I will be in France!! have they given you any indication of when you can cycle again after the m/c? My NHS consultant said not to try and conceive for at least two months but I have read three months elsewhere so am thinking April/May. I read somewhere that getting pg kickstarts your ovulation which has always been a bit sluggish with me so its kind of annoying having to sit on our hands for a couple of months and not try naturally.

Lets hope that all three of us get to third trimester in 2004!!! we b**** well deserve it!!

beckym xxx

Hi Traci

Glad to hear that you are feeling a bit better after your visit to the clinic. It does sound positive that they will do further tests and try different things. It makes more sense than just doing the exact same thing everytime.

Sending you lots of love and hugs over the Christmas and I really hope that 2004 will bring you all the hapiness you both deserve.

Lots of love
Jen xx

Dear Traci,

It was lovely to hear from you and learn of your excellent progress. It's not easy at this time of year to get excited about the festivities with everything that you have been through. But when you get low, just think of us all around you. You are not alone. Even I have to say, those who have creeped over to the other side. I for one am not hitting the ceiling or swinging from chandeliers.

I think that what they have suggested is very sensible and something I haven't heard of before. If you are on a list for doner egg, that is good, although the waiting time seems endless. You are lucky that you are blessed with an open, but focussed mind, which you have had to develop through your mammoth rollercoaster. Keep hold of that. You are a very unique and special person.

Must go, cos I am at work (Sunday!! 8am) Want to quickly mention to Dolly and Becky - do hope you can put 2004 behind you, but I know you will get there soon.

Nicky xx (loggin in at work, so under NickyMolly)

Hi Traci
Glad to hear your going to try again think it will be good for you to have the tests. Hope you and your DH have a great christmas, like you I haven't been around much feeling a bit low as the Endo is back worse than ever and I have been pretty ill. I'm hoping to try one more IUI in Jan before having the donor eggs although they may have to treat the Endo again, I'm so fed up of being in pain. What is you opinion of embryo donation, hadn't really thought about that one but may ask my clinic for more info, Anyway just wanted to wish you all the best for 2004!!
Big hugs
Aly
x

Aly
sorry you are feeling low at the moment and to feel ill on top cant be easy, my opinion is that of donated embys is a fantastic Idea , no drugs , no waiting for appointments or phonecalls of follicle growth or fertilisation , just defrost bung em in and hopefully they will grow a bit like a ready made meal!!!! or adoption but you make it yourself . you dont have to wait and the guarentee is that they are brothers or sisters of embryo's that have worked before for someone else. so I will defo be having a good think about it . Hope you feel better soon just drown it in alcohol!!!!

Trace xxx
