Hello everyone. I have been away for a while felt depressed over the BFN. I am getting back on track having visited with another RE so I may start another cycle soon. I was wondering if anyone has ever used Menapur, Cetrotide, HCG and Follistim these are the drugs she is concerning putting me on.

I have done 2 cetrotide cycles or also called short or flare cycles. It involves no down reg so tmt lasts a month exactly. Stims on day 3 of AF then cetrotide to stop follies releasing eggs on approx day 7 onward...HCG as usual 36hrs before egg collection then ET 3 or 5 days later. I had no problem with this protocol...just my harvest is low, so now looking at ED abroad.

Hi Wanda,

I am basically on the same protocol. I take gonal F in the morning and repronex in the pm. Cetrotide starts around day 7 to stop ovulation. It worked great for me last time - 7 eggs harvested, 4 fertilized with ICSI. Unfortunately the lab lost (accidentally threw away) three of my embryos so I only had one to transfer and it didn't stick. Anyway, to make up for their mistake they are giving me a free cycle and are using the same protocol. Hopefully this cycle will be a positive experience! I start meds today. My first follie scan will be next monday and I am hoping that the small cyst they found in by baseline u/s doesn't cause me to cancel my cycle. Good luck on your new cycle! Keep us posted. Also, AF stands for "Aunt Flow" or in other words, your period.
