:D  Six Weeks and three days :D

It's funny it all seems to be going so slowly, but then I look back at my posts and i realise how many days have past already!

I've got 9 days till my scan on the 26th can't wait to get that milestone under my belt. Had a freaky dream about it last night. Dreampt they found two heartbeats which I was thrilled about, but then they said my embryos were very small and they would have to keep any eye on me to make sure they were growing.

I think I dreampt this is because I responded well to the down regs but when they gave me the stim's I responded poorly and my eggs took ages to grow. Still it all turned out right in the end and thats all that matters.

Pixiemom I thought it was very interesting what you said about your insurance. Things work very differently over there.

I think over here more and more people who can afford it are taking out health insurance and some lucky people get it as a perk of their jobs - but they are in the minority.

Most of us rely on the National Health Service which we all pay for heavily in our taxes.

I think on the whole it's a good service ( I don't know what you other ladies think?) How ever it doesn't seem so good when people need specific help or certain med. We have had a lot of controversy about certain drugs only being available in certain parts of the country we call it a Postcode Lottery - and the same is true of IVF.

My county allowed me one go of IVF providing I'd had three goes if IUI.

Some county allow as many as three goes and other's I believe none at all!

The IUI I had to have at my local NHS hospital and we had to pay for all the meds even the IUI kit; but the IVF was done at a private hospital with NHS funding and I didn't have to pay for anything.

Now I get to go to the private hospital one more time for that first scan, but after that I'll be back in the regular NHS system with all the other none ivf mums to be. While we are pregnant we get all our perscriptions and dental treatment free.

JesJes and Sarah congrates!!!! A proper Christmas baby! We are all pretty new to this posting too, although some of us know each other from the march buddies. You are most welcome.x

Cockholme can't believe you are looking at pushchairs already! LOL you are keen. I've only got as far as fantasing about having a bump! And how big I'll be at my mum's wedding!

Love to you all xxxPaquitaxxx

Quita- I have been having weird dreams too. It's making me crazy. I am dreming about my babies & it's so real then I wake up sad because they aren't here (yet) I am sure we are going to have alot more before our little ones are her & I definitely can relate when you say it seems like it's taking so long. I feel like I have been at 5 weeks for a month, finally 6 weeks tommorrow!

Jazemine- I am in Wasington state too. Where are you? By the sound of your # I would say you probably have 2 in there also even though some women with twins have low # too. I think most are pretty high. Good luck!

Too wierd that we go to the same place!!!

My 1st US is on May 2nd. I have 2 more bets blood tests this week. One tomorrow and my third is on friday. I love it there and think Dr. Hickok is the nicest doctor I have ever had. Who is your co-ordinator? I have Tonya and love her too pieces! Isn't Eric just so nice at the front desk too? They really make going there such a nice experience no matter what the outcome is.

Exactly how far away do you live from here? I am in Issaquah and still don't have my bearings on this state yet!

Jes-
Mitzi is my coodinator. I guess she kind of grows on you. I like Tonya, She was did the us for my transfer & Dr Hickok & the embryologist are so nice. Did Dr Hickock tell you that "you're pregnant" after your transfer? I don't know if he tells everyone that or if he was just really confident in my embryos which I guess are the best you can have.I have only been to the clinic for my initial appt in Sept & then again for my saline us in Dec & then for my tranfer so, I never really got to know the staff. We used donors so, I did my us here. It takes us about 3 hrs to get to Seattle so probably 2.5 to Issaquah. My dh brother lives in Issaquah. It's pretty there & not crazy like Seattle. The weather is alot different her though. We are dessert. It's sunny most of the time & very hot in the summer.

What part of Washington

Post by Jazemine »

It is so crazy there is so many of us in Wa. Can you please tell where about everyone is. It would really cool if one day we could all meet and maybe have lunch or something. I have been nervous about the whole IVF process. Does anyone know , if the PG test says your PG and your blood work is 2017 on your first blood test are we in good shape or is there a chance something can be wrong and us not being PG? Someone at work said something today and it kind of scared me. We have been so much and to see a plus sign on the PG test after 11 years of trying, is amazing. I am trying to get my hopes up but it has been a little late for that since pretty much everyone knows we are having a baby.My doctor has never said not to say anything and actually hasnt said much about telling people. I dont know your emotions go up and down and My hubby and I have been waitting for this day for 11 years. Thanks to GOD we are finally here. Please if you have anything to share please write. Hope to hear from you all soon.

JAZ- How many embies did you put back? Your # are really high. My 1st was higher than most people 779 at 10 days after a day 5 transfer & my 2nd was 1958 at 2 days later. & I have 2 although we aren't sure until tommorrow if they are both viable. Your# sound really good. Maybe more than one or a really healthy one.

Hello Quita and everyone else in the December 07 Babies - I've been following some of you in the March cycle but hadn't registered, having just got the BFP I thought I might join if that's ok?
Its been a rough ride to get here and I still don't really believe it, I've had quite a lot of spotting over the last few days and went in for an early test which was 74 at 12 DPEC, I didn't really trust this after the early m/c last time but we heard today that the HCG was 212 at 14DPEC which has made me feel that this one might be a keeper!
Has anyone else had an spotting?
I've just worked out that my due date will be Boxing Day!

Jazemine, those figures are amazing - are you sure you don't have 10 in there!!! I think you can safely say that all's looking good at this stage. I was told that anything over 25 was +ve (9dp5dt) and ideally over 100, so I'm sure that 2000 is fine!

I've been catching up on the rest of the thread and Quita I have very similar questions to you - I'm supposed to be flying, albeit only for a 2.5 hr flight, at 7 weeks - I'm a pretty nervous flyer so also worried about that.
I've been following Zita West (I really recomend her book 'Fertility and Conception') and she says no sex for the first 12 weeks, not hot baths (no idea what defines hot so have been having showers) and no alcohol. I doubt very much that I'll keep this up for the full 12 weeks (am only 4 weeks now!) but that's her advice.
