Retrieval actually started off really well this morning. They were able to get to my right ovary, by getting two nurses to push on my abdomen, and push the ovary out of the way of the blood vessels. I told they they could hang me upside down from the ceiling if that's what it took. It actually worked, but apparently I was moving all over the place because they were pushing so hard, and the Dr. could not give me any more anesthesia to get me to stop moving, because my breathing was too shallow. You see, they do this in an office setting, and not the hospital. If it was done in the hospital, they would have been able to intubate (probably spelling that wrong) me and give me more anesthesia, but because it's done in the office they can only give me so much and can't intubate to control the air flow. The anesthesiologist was getting nervous about my breathing, so they had to wake me up. I had already been under an hour. He made them stop. They had only gotten 3 eggs by that time, all from my RIGHT ovary. Can you freaking believe it. They never got to finish getting them out of my right, and never even got to my left. So, the good news is they were able to access it, the bad news is they didn't have enough time to get them all out, and could only get 3. UGH! Isn't that a bummer. There were so many good eggs in that ovary. Now she's afraid of OHSS because all those eggs are being left in there to release on their own. So... I'm hoping for no OHSS, and 100% fertilization! so I'll have 3 to put back again. EEK! So dissapointing, but keeping the faith and my hopes up. At least I got 3. I know it only takes 1.

AGAIN, You guys are incredibly THE BEST EVER. Thanks for thinking of me!!! :)

Hi girls, 2 out of 3 fertilized, and I'm very happy and staying positive. I was a little bummed about the 3rd, but hey.... It could have been none, and if I had none I would be wishing for these 2, so I'm very pleased I'm going to ET to bring my twins home tomorrow. :-)

Thanks for the push Aunty. I'm sure it was yours that did it! :-)

Janice... 2 is the magic number!!!! Good luck with your ET tomorrow, let us know how it goes please.

Warning Baby Talk.....As for me, we had a bit of a scare last weekend, but all is o.k. Turned out I burst a capillary in the uterine cavity, apparently not unusual with twins, but the amount of blood was very scary. Went to the ER, had the sono and the twins looked great. One did a somersault and the other was waving it's hand and covering it's eyes with the other. Phew, big sigh of relief, I think I put 10 years on my life. Anyway, I know the pregnancy is still strong due to the overwhelming nauseau on a daily basis and Dr. told me at this point, the chance of complications are near 0%. WooHoo!

I'll be praying for you tomorrow..Bring those twins home!

hugs,
Ange

ANGE: OMG! That is scary. I know you were freaking out. I would have.
I'm sooooo glad to hear everything is ok. That sounds so sweet that you got to see them waving their hands. How cute. I hear sometimes they fight in the womb (twins) Isn't that a riot. They kind of push each other out of the way, etc.... I guess they're just preparing to be siblings. You are going to have your hands full girl. I'm hoping to follow in your footsteps!

Janice, I am so pleased that you will bring the twins home tomorrow! I hope that your babies get all cozy and warm and stick to you like super glue!

Ange, glad to read that your twins are alright. Hopefully they are giving you a hard time now and not when they are 16! LOL. I know that morning sickness is a pain in the ass, but at least it doesn't last!

Wishing all of you happy days and sending big hugs to all of you.
